  1. Has he already asked for the codes? I wouldn't be surprised if day one he comes back and says something like, the codes don't work. How do you know? I was told they don't work, give me the real codes. Who told you they don't work. Nevermind, give me the right codes or you're fired.... The one thing Trump is absolutely historic in, like Babe Ruth historic, is losing money. The man can bankrupt a casino. He's the Bambino of Bankruptcy. He's gonna score so many bankruptcies in his term, they're gonna erect a Trump statue in Moscow.
  2. What are they gonna do when they get to the love thy neighbor verses and supporting the poors? I mean, let's not go hog wild on learning the teachings of the gospel, unless we're subbing Christ with Oligarchs.
  3. Survival in less civilized times required the help of neighbors and townspeople alike. You thrived together or you died together. The dumbed down of society should provide the military with lots of bodies, since there'll be less options with the rising costs of education. And before the tradesmen peeps talk about the rise of a blue-collar workforce, that's a shit load of work. True there's money to be had, but if there was learning and effort going on, they wouldn't have voted against their chances of overtime and for rising costs of living and declining benefits.
  4. I don't care who wins. I'm not a pro football fan. I'm not a pro anything fan. It's all weighted to me.
  5. The call on the field marked the ball a whole yard short.
  6. Huge hold in front of Wilson to give him time to throw, or that's a sack. Didn't show a highlight of the throw, only the catch.
  7. There was some early cracks that Texas didn’t take advantage of. And when miscues happen, sometimes players overcompensate and tighten up. Texas also started off with some early penalties that set them back. I thought the defense really kept Texas in that game, just needed help. Shit happens but it’s hard to beat the same team twice. All things are correctible vs not having the skill sets to compete.
  8. GA has been getting by turning the ball over multiple times a game, and it finally smacked them in a big way.
  9. Refs can't bail them out now.
  10. Chris Cornell? No. He’s dead Jim.
  11. Manning may almost get a whole half of play.
  12. Gman decimated my wondering about taking the penalty or not.
  13. Welp, looks like Wisner got shot by the cannon. Next rb up I guess.
  14. Good to see that we can miss and drop open passes a variety of ways. Guess that shows they’re there to be had.
  15. Bonds just seems to teleport downfield.
  16. Commentator was really wrong in the five yards offsides giving Florida kicker a better angle.
  17. Hope Ewers can do more pump fakes to freeze defenders.
  18. Offensive line also allowing time for these plays to set up.
  19. A good read about controlling the media These conversations have usually proceeded along lines where people ask incredulously how a majority of voters could have believed this or that. Weren’t they bothered that Trump is a convicted felon? An adjudicated rapist? Didn’t his invocation of violence against Liz Cheney, or 50 other examples of his disgusting imprecations, obviously disqualify him? And couldn’t they see that Harris, whatever her shortcomings, was a fundamentally smart, honest, well-meaning person who would show basic respect for the Constitution and wouldn’t do anything weird as president? The answer is obviously no—not enough people were able to see any of those things. At which point people throw up their hands and say, "I give up." But this line of analysis requires that we ask one more question. And it’s the crucial one: Why didn’t a majority of voters see these things? And understanding the answer to that question is how we start to dig out of this tragic mess. The answer is the right-wing media. Today, the right-wing media—Fox News (and the entire News Corp), Newsmax, One America News Network, the Sinclair network of radio and TV stations and newspapers, iHeartMedia (formerly Clear Channel), the Bott Radio Network (Christian radio), Elon Musk’s X, the huge podcasts like Joe Rogan’s, and much more—sets the news agenda in this country. And they fed their audiences a diet of slanted and distorted information that made it possible for Trump to win. an excerpt of course, there’s more…
  20. The government is suppressing ivermectin and raw milk? So much stupid crammed into one tweet.
  21. My uncle just went through all the documentation. He was getting dementia and had a legit case from where/when he served. My aunt, a retired education administrator in California, tried to help him navigate through all of the different doctor clearances and red tape. He was finally approved a month after he died. While she was angry, really she was just more sad. I think she did receive a folded flag though, so he was given a military burial. The system does need reform, but Trump isn't going to care since the wounded and POWs were losers in his book.
  22. This thread is the thread I needed. Thanks all, it doesn't disappoint.
  23. Republicans showed up though--they always do. Maybe they had 2 million less that didn't believe in their cause. But it's usually the Democrats that are sporadic. It's a bitch to get them to care about mid terms. Sure, they showed up for Biden, during a pandemic. Regardless of race or nationality, we all failed. We didn't show up for a female--twice. Maybe Newsom had a better chance, but for those believing that it was strategic that he sat out. It's not a given that there'll be another time, when each term Republicans strip and break the system more. And it's going to be tough for minority groups to get behind a white male that pretty much leaves them at seemingly static quo. Democrats have a pretty large tent and everybody has their own demands--which makes it extremely hard to unify. We have to agree on a plan that includes everybody, while meeting all of our individual needs and wants. But nothing does that quite like a direct threat today, to employment, homes and health. Trump during a time of prosperity is a theoretical threat to dipshits. And when it's all said and done, we mostly have jobs and cable apparently, since we get our views from social media and the internet. We'll see if that changes. Against sense, I'll hope that we continue prosperity, despite those that run the show. If nothing else though, it would've been fun to watch Newsom really hurt Trump's pride since he's younger, slimmer and more attractive. Oh well, nobody will go unscathed, not even Gavin.
