  1. Does that require a catch and kill point man? Because I'd want everybody to know.
  2. What about a corrupt SCOTUS member and his wife, especially if they could be determined a threat to the US? Or something similar to the open window policy granted to Putin.
  3. I was going to go with bone saw in memory of Khashoggi.
  4. Back to dumb punk and the Clean.
  5. This band is blowing up. I'm sad that I waited too long to buy tickets and now they're sold out up and down the East Coast. Waited because I would be the oldest person there, and expect a lot of teens and/or college kids. I coulda worn a mask and just silently enjoyed their jangly pop sounds. And they're trying to sound a little Cureish.
  6. Just saw Robyn Hitchcock. Fantastic show, just him playing acoustic and a few songs on piano--sounded superb. Makes me sad he's 71, because he's not likely doing many more trips my way.
  7. Seeing them at the Atlantis in DC in May. Looking forward to a blast from the past.
  8. Biden's going to make several public gaffs. Meanwhile, Trump is going to try and overthrow the law, say more racist stuff along the way, disavow more of his lawyers and insiders, threaten more judges and jurists, all the while hemorrhaging damaging personal secrets in multiple courtrooms. So far, we've learned that Trump had the aid of a faux news channel (Fox lost a billion recently in court) and press (National Enquirer) interfering and disparaging opposition. Biden still overcame it. All eyes are going to be on Trump going forward, and the courtroom appearances aren't going to allow him as much time to work on interfering with future elections. More and bigger stuff is going to be released and Trump is going to lose a lot more money. He may not be getting jail, but he's losing everything he values via death by a thousand cuts. I don't know how or when, but I almost expect the Supreme Court will intervene on his behalf to halt the information being released through courts on Trump because it's a brutal look publicly to any sane, rational human being. While there are several better Democrat candidates I'd consider over Biden--if Biden is the Dem nominee, it's literally ride or die. And a super bonus if he has people like Buttigieg working in his cabinet, because that's one of my candidates that I'd consider as better. But here's the thing, it's not about who's smarter or up and coming, it's about who has experience, knows the players, and can broker deals. And Biden shows that he can absolutely still get stuff done. That's difficult to beat.
  9. Yes. Trump wouldn't ask for Biden to be drug tested before future debates if he felt secure in his own mental advantage. I don't think Trump debates this go around.
  10. He just needs to appoint the right people to the right jobs, and bingo-bango, he's head and shoulders above Trump. If he commits no crimes and can keep his hands off prostitutes, he's head and shoulders above Trump. If he doesn't plead for presidential immunity for life, he's head and shoulders above Trump. If he doesn't use the words covfefe, hamburders, and person-woman-man-camera-tv as president, he's head and shoulders above Trump. If he doesn't aspire to hang out with dictators and fascists, he's head and shoulders above Trump. Damn, this list gets tiring, so I'll just end it here--besides, Trump's got a lot of courtroom napping to do from now until the election, which makes Biden head and shoulders above Trump.
  11. "If the judge was really prejudiced, wouldn't that make him a Trump voter?"
  12. I like that Reacher is who they think of when they imagine Dotard, and themselves trying to save America from equality.
  13. Good that your relatives aren't closed minded enough to indoctrinate others in a with us or against us mentality. Critical thinking is under attack. Used to see trans and drag queens hooking it on Friday and Saturday nights along Broad Street in Richmond. It's not like they bother anybody--only the bigots mess with them. The people that really care want to legislate morality in an attempt to hide their self inflicted shame. The only rule should be to only involve consenting adults.
  14. It's designed to keep you there, but it's interesting. There may be a ferry that takes you to both Alexandria and Georgetown, but you'd have to look that up, and it's not the cheapest. You may even be able to take it to the wharf and see a Nats game, which is a good experience.
  15. So many enemies, again, makes me wonder how he's going to cheat. He's barely trying to win straight up.
  16. and now he won't have anyone reeling him in, as in there won't be a Mike Pence saying no. Going to be a bumpy ride to see what happens if Dems don't win or defend their win.
  17. Who is expected to fund their socialized social security, medicare and medicaid? They should be told good luck with your diabetes, it gets easier with amputations.
  18. If they're anything like Uvalde, they'll continue voting Republican, even at the expense of their offspring. Leopards faces person woman man camera tv whatnot.
  19. I'd love to slip a bookmarker with a picture of a gold toilet in a stack of Trump bibles, along with the following scripture: “I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.” Trump, 1:1, 2005
  20. Mostly, it's just the rich fearing they'll lose power. In a Democracy, they have to divide the population to get the necessary votes to support their 1% rule. Racism is a way to do that. The NFL had to enact the Rooney rule so that Black coaches could get a shot at being interviewed. Fucking interviewed, not hired but seen. That's America in a nutshell. We have to implement laws to get a fair shake, which gets convoluted. Even slogans such as Black Lives Matter get twisted to all lives matter, despite all lives not being being threatened. We say there's two different laws--rich and poor, while really there's a third type doled out to minorities. I have not been threatened at work by minorities--not teaching, nor working as staff at universities. When I attend staff appreciation parties, I am surprised how many minorities are maintenance vs administrators. It's almost like there are roles for minorities, but it's primarily pushing a stick. And that's how we boost our equality based employment numbers. When we discuss welfare in this country, it's in regards to minorities. Storming the capitol on Jan 6th is cool, but taking a knee in silent protest is un American. Muhammad Ali saying fuck the draft was un American, while Trump deferring 5 times is commander in chief material. RW snowflakes moaning woe is me after 400 + years of absolute dominance because equality protections, is boo freaking hoo.
  21. Coulda filed this under a thread titled A Story about a Pathetic Man's Fall Down. 82 years was more time than you deserved.
  22. So he runs the RNC like a mob boss--the Republican Party is basically the Republican crime family, that sends a cut to Dotard every time money comes in. And now on top of this, he's about to defraud his social media share holders, may have judges and congressmen in his pocket, is a convicted rapist and has a multitude of trials going on damn near simultaneously, got busted paying off a porn star (and others), has tax payers paying his security team for life, and is running again for president. DOJ, SCOTUS, anybody going to step up? And for anybody questioning whether he has judges in his pocket, he's arguing immunity for life because he was a president--and not just for past offenses, but so that he can continue breaking laws. Like right now, with his Truth Social scandal about to break. The problem with Gotti was that he didn't think big enough, unlike Putin, who is president for life. I wish the China thing mattered, I just can't see it with his followers. Their real anger is that we all don't follow them over the cliff. But Biden is soft on the border, so both sides.
  23. Trump is going to school Republicans on how he was able to bankrupt a casino. He should also have his own megachurch; the cross fits right into the first initial of his last name.
  24. Or when I go to Wholefoods and see a mound of individual potatoes wrapped in plastic. The way our recycling works is that if there's one piece of non recyclable plastic in the bin, then everything gets trashed. At work, in many buildings, just watch the maintenance guys dump both the trash and recycle baskets all in the same bin at night. Basically, if you don't stay on people, they won't do right. Which is exactly why regulation is needed. Greed is a crime by biblical standards, and a disease, especially when a few begin to rationalize poison for profit.
