  1. See how the season plays out. This is a playoff team, with some tweaks and more experience, potentially a champion. It's a team effort and the whole team had some costly mistakes at times. Everything we saw today is correctible.
  2. I'm going to love their games against FSU and Miami, because they may have some difficulty--all of them. Georgia Tech may provide an upset or two. If this helps Texas remain in the top 10, I'll take it. LSU won't go undefeated, either.
  3. They won’t go the way of Nebraska but they won’t have a choke hold on recruits in Alabama. Losses like this mean Bama will have to apply more resources towards those in their backyard. That not only opens their state a little more for recruiting, but helps keeps them out of ours. Like Texas, their game against Georgia becomes more of a must win.
  4. Despite as bad as Arch, Sark and the red zone offense was, they still had a chance late. They didn't get dominated, but they did lose to a team that mirrored similar deficiencies. Would've been nice to get the W but this was a fight.
  5. Horns stopped themselves with Wingo dropping the pass thrown slightly behind him.
  6. Why does every pass to the receiver damn near have to be perfect for them to catch it?
  7. Only one player could get that throw and that was Endries. That was pro level.
  8. I was curious to see if Arch was going to have a gunslinger mentality which requires short term memory and confidence. I think he will and will be great. If this is his worst game, that's not bad. Sark's got to get better too. We need a returner, or to work on our return game, is another blip.
  9. It's not indisputable and was called a td. Stands.
  10. Arch will get more live repetition with his receivers, which is great for chemistry. They're glorified scrimmages, and the offense gets a chance to gel and work on combinations. The defense will build some trust and confidence as well, since they'll be working for shoutouts. I think Texas should then roll Florida and discover they're pretty damn good, and then everything builds towards Georgia. Get beat by Georgia, and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Hopefully, Texas survives with dings up to then.
  11. Somewhere in the top 10 is fine. Probably number 6 if everybody wins, but it's difficult to keep a team highly ranked when they didn't score.
  12. Sayin got to start at home and Manning began his journey on the road in one of the most difficult places to play. The defense showed up. The offensive line for the most part showed up. This team has a chance to be really good to great. Manning will be so much better by years end, and this is exactly why you schedule a game like this early in the season.
  13. He does. But they're not giving him anything short. I'm not saying throw deep, my thoughts are take off when the field has more green and throw screens. When the field condenses, hand off.
  14. Welp, going to have to open it up now.
  15. Arch with a family of pro qbs that run a qb academy? Arch just seems like he's a second or two slow. He's throwing low, which is usually nerves but everything just seems to be moving too fast.
  16. They did as well as they were coached. We should have 3 on the board and that's all on Sark.
  17. Hands to the face by the offensive lineman next to the defender getting called for hands to the face. Take your pick.
  18. Would've been cooler to get the points.
  19. McCutcheon sighting over Livingston.
  20. Mostly, all honest running all the way on this drive.
  21. Throw the flag on the hit out of bounds.
  22. Arch throwing everything low. Would've been better if it wasn't completed.
  23. Manning is having difficulty completing passes.
