Sorry to disappoint the OP, but Blue Fish in Las Colinas is pretty damn good and very convenient to DFW airport. Don't know about other places.

Maybe that's why they changed their name after the first album.
Chicago Transit Authority vs Chicago Transit Authority
"Lets go back some distance for our first one. The band Chicago does in fact hail from the Windy City. In fact many of the band members first met while attending DePaul University. Originally named The Big Thing, after adding their seventh member, vocalist Peter Cetera, the band was signed to a deal with Columbia Records in 1968. Shortly thereafter, the band changed its name to Chicago Transit Authority.
Less than a year after signing with Columbia, the band debuted with the self-titled The Chicago Transit Authority (informally called CTA). The album was a unique property being a double-disc release (a rarity for a debut), filled with jazz-like instrumentation and Latin elements blended with a slight abstract experimentation with feedback-laden rhythm. Despite the description, the sound was a perfect fit for early FM radio and eventually sold over a million copies in the year following its release. With the success of the album and the single Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is, it was only a matter of time until someone took notice.
Within months of the albums release, the band had officially shortened its name to simply Chicago after being threatened with legal action. It seemed that the actual Chicago Transit Authority did not take too kindly to some hometown boys mixing it up with the rock and roll. Thankfully, the city didnt feel the same."

Y'all missed one. The debut album of Outlaws from 1975 including the extended and iconic "Green Grass and High Tides" as the last cut on the record.

I like Bad Company. Although I've long said, if your first album has the same name as the band and the same name as your first hit song, you probably won't be around for long. See: Big Country. Bad Company is the exception to this rule. How about this one:
A ton of great music on that album:

You are overthinking it. If you trimmed your brisket right -- cleaned up all the edges and took down the fat to 1/4 inch or so, all you need to do is wrap it in butcher paper after 4 or 5 hours (whenever it hits the stall around 165-175 temp) and put it in a low oven (225-ish temp) until it is done somewhere around 205-ish temp. There is only so much smoke that a brisket needs or can absorb. I think an oven is a much better way to finish the endeavor. Drink a beer and go to sleep. Wake up to a great aroma and some excellent brisket. Make sure to let it rest for 30+ minutes before slicing the flat against the grain. Don't separate the point, and slice it the opposite of the flat.

Enter the area between Art and a TV camera at your own risk. He's a total self-promoter and has his eyes on a future outside the police world, IMHO. Look at his tweets and his posturing on FB about 2nd Amendment if you have any doubts.

Interesting post. "Dry" fraternity does not compute, but it seems that all of the national HQ's are forcing their active chapters to adopt such a policy. Pretty sure that I wouldn't have wanted to pledge into a fraternity of a bunch of snowflakes and teetotalers!

That was a big feast during my days on the 40 Acres. Add a bag of tortilla chips, a bottle of salsa and a six-pack of cheap beer and you were living large!

Two pain in the ass type characters Robert Duvall played to perfection were Beatrice attorney Jerry Facher in A Civil Action and writer/ cartoonist Max Mercy in The Natural.
Hard to imagine anyone else giving a better portrayal while halfway endearing themselves to audience, regardless of how shitty their characters were.
I'd forgotten about both of those! The guy has a huge body of work.

If you are an aviation nut, even a little bit -- this place is great: http://www.theperfectlanding.com/
It's at Centennial Airport, south of downtown. Big windows to view all of the runway ops. Their airport traffic is a nice mix of heavy and light corporate jets, multi and single props, vintage and even some military.
Their piano bar happy hour crowd is heavily MILF. Fun place.

Hits close to home. I had a cousin that drowned at age 5. We held off on getting a house with a pool until the youngest was 6 and a swimmer. The other thing we did was enforcing a strict "buddy rule" with our kids -- nobody could be in the pool alone.
