  1. The reason Sark's playcalling looked great against Kansas is they couldn't stop our run game. They were physically outmatched at the point of attack, almost as if, I don't know, we had a lot more talent than them. When that happens, you keep running. Anyone on Surly could have called that game. TCU sold out its LBs to shut down our run game. Sark had no counterpunch to that other than throw deep to Worthy. Let's wait until we play a real defense again before we start celebrating Sark's gameplanning.
  2. I had a feeling we would blow out Kansas. We should, because top to bottom, we have much, much more talent than they do, the nonsense on this thread earlier this week notwithstanding. We should be 9-1 with this roster. I have no idea what will happen with Baylor, although the probability of bed shitting remains high. I don't trust Sark.
  3. I've been on the "fire PK" train for some time, but I have to give him credit. Our D has gotten much better as the year has gone on.
  4. Great win. This team is so up and down it's hard to tell how much this game is Kansas being shitty or us finally getting our shit together (probably some of both). There was one poster this week claiming (seriously) that we were not that much more talented than Kansas. Lulz. We have the talent to be 10-1 right now. We've just pissed so much of it away. Props to PK though. His unit is looking much better.
  5. Knowing this team, we'll probably boat race Kansas today. And then shit the bed next week.
  6. Maybe our coach should try this instead of looking constipated with eyes on his play sheet.
  7. I don't really care about the Vikings at all, but one cool thing from that video is how both he and the color guy are standing, not next to each other, and are sort of interspersed with other folks in the booth. Like their friend had a box for the game that weekend and they decided to call the game in between trips to the buffet line. I always pictured the guys in suits sitting together behind a desk.
  8. another video from a channel I follow. Former flight leader for the USAF thunderbirds.
  9. I could see us totally dominating or laying an egg. The variance of this team is crazy. Virtually no one had "Defense balls out and shuts down TCU" on their bingo card last week.
  10. ~80% of surlers predicted 8+ wins before the season. I don't think 8 wins would be "amazing" by that standard. The modal prediction was 9 wins.
  11. yep - what must be done eventually should be done immediately.
  12. Can he just be the OC and hire himself a HC to be his boss?
  13. 2-3 looks most likely to me, as I think we'll probably win one of Kansas and Baylor. That gets us to 7 win Steve.
  14. When TCU sold out its LBs (and safeties sometimes) to stop the run, Sark's answer was and is to throw deep, which is fine, except Ewers sucks at the deep ball. This is a systemic problem that should have been anticipated in, I don't know, May. Seems like we could have attacked the middle more to punish the LBs keying on the run so much. Anyway, the simple blueprint on this offense is there for all opponents to see.
  15. I dig these fantasy stats. We’d be a legit football team if we didn’t have to actually, you know, play games.
  16. Let me guess, the computers say we are actually the #6 team in the country, and the espn matchup predictor has us with a 72 percent chance of winning?
  17. Yes, the interaction of Sark with Bama+Saban was magical. I agree. But I'm really starting to doubt that Sark on his own is some elite QB whisperer.
  18. I'd trade Fat Mack for the last 9 years. We'd be in a better place. We paid our money and took our chances and fucked up along the way.
  19. I'd put much of that on Saban and Bama. Sark has definitely worked with some great QBs - maybe they were already great by the time they got to him. The QB play under him here has been total shit and looks like it's getting worse.
  20. I was in that camp, but I let it slide because he made some great throws. I guess our coaching staff did too and failed at their job. Why would Arch want to come here again?
  21. If only he had some highly paid coaches on staff that could have worked with him in the offseason to clean up his mechanical flaws. Or decided to pull him for not fixing them. Oh well, not much we can do. The guys just need to step up and try harder.
  22. Internet dorks trashing his footwork . . . what the fuck do we know?
