  1. And here I was thinking Bobby Bonilla was the guy most overpaid for his 2025 performance.
  2. True. But in the name of efficiency, why stop with skipping commitment ceremonies? You can check all sports results much faster than you can sit through actual games.
  3. The first 22 minutes of this podcast will test your blood pressure. With prominent mentions of Bohls and Ketchum, how could it not? https://m.soundcloud.com/dawgnation-daily/episode-2498-kirby-smart-asked-about-special-secret-for-beating-texas
  4. Bigger guy who needs a little more runway to reach top speed, but plenty fast once he does...and plenty strong en route.
  5. I know many, having lived in the Atlanta region since 1984. When I moved here, they were coming off their Herschel high. Then a very long stretch of meh set in, and Saban pretty much broke their will. So in my time here, it's only since they finally escaped Bama's stranglehold that they've become very cocky. Before then, they were basically Auburn. The fact they had a fairly flawed team in 2024 and yet still beat us twice has them thinking we're not too special. And based on how we played against them, that's not an unreasonable conclusion. On their way to a title, they also somewhat recently destroyed a TCU team that spanked us. So UGA fans really do think they're much better at player development than we are, and they're convinced Texas is only returning to relevance because of money. Any other possibility would wreck their worldview. I don't think they ever even wonder if they rebuilt their own program illegally. As a group, they really aren't deep thinkers about such things.
  6. Aggyland felt like home? I've been to Pascagoula, so I understand the comparison.
  7. More muscle inbound...
  8. Welcome, Mr. Cooper. It's great to have you. Now maybe the Chicken Little crowd of a few weeks ago will stifle themselves.
  9. If you're not going to send him there, up 6 runs in the 8th, when are you going to?
  10. I know MLB wants desperately for Julio to be this otherworldly megastar. But he's just not the next Griffey Jr. in fact, he's a pretty mortal player who regularly proves it. Like today, for instance. So enough with the constant hype train already.
  11. Something's off. Are they not booing him enough?
  12. I know Mariner, Ranger, Yankee and Dodger fans, among others, join Manfred and company in enjoying this spiral. Whatever. Not sure what can be done except keep grinding with whoever's available and hope for a healthier stretch. There's very little to trade for anyone who might fix this mess in the short term, so rather than further deplete the farm, let's just look to get a few guys back and see if we can somehow heat up again as the season winds down. Hope's about all we have, fading though it might be.
  13. Abreu has perfected the art of inheriting his own runners. 😝
  14. I admire the grit, win or lose.
  15. There's such a thing as terrible luck...and there's such a thing as inept training, conditioning and rehab programs. Given how often our guys are getting hurt and how long some are staying out of commission, odds are we're seeing both. No news to you guys, of course.
  16. Manfred finally got what he wanted: a franchise too depleted from top to bottom to keep winning once the inevitable bad run of injuries lined up. Now I mainly want to keep winning to spite that guy.
  17. Start with the medical staff.
  18. I lived in Marietta for over 40 years...and still can't help you. Not saying the place doesn't exist, but let me know if you discover it.
  19. Castillo's obviously tough, but the reality of our AA lineup has set in. Let's try getting to 60 wins before we start debating if 95 is a realistic goal.
  20. Then again, the exceptional duos presumably would have higher-than-average percentages on those other routes, too.
