How much he get paid for that?  Best of luck to Malik.  wished we could have kept him for another year.  I'll be following his career and may it be Derrick Johnson-esque.

  2. Just a thought.

For years Walmart has been demonized by some for providing unfair competition which ultimately drove many small businesses out of business.  People were proud to say that they don't shop at Walmart.

Now Amazon is part of the shopping revolution that's doing the same thing.  What's the difference?  People are proud to says that they get their garlic, shoes, laundry detergent on Amazon.

    Legit.

"Ohio’s Institute of BioAcoustic Biology, using a special computer algorithm to uncover serious health issues by analyzing a person’s voice to uncover medical conditions, ran a test on Rogers— and the results were “disturbing.”

“We discovered a host of truly troubling symptoms that could explain why he cut short the farewell tour,” says BioAcoustic head Sharry Edwards.

The most horrifying revelation was the sinister presence of “three bladder cancer markers — BTA serine/threonine protein, NMP uridine monophosphate and RCAS1, a receptor-binding cancer antigen,” says Edwards."

So tumor markers including proteins and receptor binding antigens are detected by analyzing the voice?!  The stupidity of that claim is astounding.  He may well be dying but if voice analysis is the evidence, then he might just live to be 100, either would be equally likely.

  4. Actually good news about Nelson IMO.  If he had surgery then there must have been something really wrong with him (instead of the alternative that he was nursing a nothing injury to avoid having to work out while deciding if he wants to transfer).  Hope he's fully aligned.  I've got him penciled in for all conference honors if he get his shit together, stays healthy and the rest of the defense eats like the pack of savages that Orlando intends them to be.

Good news about the weather.  I look forward to 2 full halves of football to bitch and wring my hands about for the next few months.

If Herman calling plays means he doesn’t have the time/ability to exercise judgement on 4th down calls I am down with that.

I may be in the minority on this one, but I'm fine with Herman's judgement on the 4th down calls last year.  I think as bad as our kicking was, going for it on 4th vs trying a FG was a crap shoot.  Damned if you do, damned if you don't.  Later on in the year when the pressure was on, because the offense had clearly been sputtering and wasn't going to get fixed, he seemed to take the FG attempt more often which I think was the more defensible call.  Also Rowland got things sorted out a bit.

No matter, Dicker's gonna take care of that this year (I hope).

I fully support walkouts and I fully support the there being consequences to said walkouts. Learning to stand up for what you believe in is an important lesson, but it won't be learned if there is nothing to stand up against. If every student gets a free pass to walk out by the school administration then it's not really a walkout, it's a glorified fire drill.

I don't disagree with a student walking out, but I was their age too once and I know that if there was "walk out" where there going to be zero repercussions, I probably would have joined to just get out of a class for a day.  To pretend that all the kids walking out are passionate social activists who care deeply about the cause, is giving them a bit too much credit.  I'd also be fine with my kids suffering whatever consequences of their walk out.

I love Westbrook as an individual player.  He's electric, but not a great team player.

Props to him for not being bound by gender rules and shopping at the "young miss" department.

I heard someone yell "play Summer of '69" at a Ryan Adams concert and he rolled with it and put on a great show.

He's gotta hear that three time a day, every day.  Unless he played it or "Run to you" he gets no respect from me.

I understand the spirit of debate, but yall are spoiled.  Austin has a fantastic food scene.  Every time I go to Austin I'm amazed at how competitive and creative the food scene is.  Makes me very jealous.  I live in the east bay and have to say the food scene largely is abysmal.  Sure there are placed to go in the city (SF) and Napa, etc, but considering prices, parking, and especially traffic, it's not reasonable to do expect for a special occasion.  When you talk about placed you might go on a weekday to get a good dinner after work, it's largely chains.  There's a reason why people here think In and Out is "amazing."  They don't know any better.  I'd have to say that creativity is not valued or rewarded here either.  The one off restaurants largely serve food that's interchangeable with a chain.  No better or different.  There's very little "local fare" or regional specialties.  You guys have great BBQ, CFS, Tex Mex, kolaches, breakfast tacos, etc.  For being near the ocean the seafood is nonexistent, unless you are willing to spend $$$.  There is good authentic ethnic food here since you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Mexican, Indian, Philippino or Vietnamese, but yall have enough of that too.

I'm always amazed when I go to Austin and with all the options you have, the parking lot for the Golden Corral is packed.

I don't think most of you know what "overrated" means.

99 percent of the places mentioned here are casual restaurants where you can get a plate of food and a drink or two for $20. Would any of you really suggest Denny's or IHOP over Magnolia or Kerby; or Chili's over Maudie's or Trudy's?

Most of you are wrong. Except for Guero's. That place sucks.

  11. If there was every a more dominant game by a college punter I've never heard of it.  Amazing stats and effect on the game.  Actually one of the more dominant games by any player at their respective position in a long time.

  12. Damn that really sucks.  Too young. Loved Night Court when I was a kid.  I'm very sorry to hear about this.  Kinda like when John Ritter died.  I have such great memories of watching these shows as a kid.

Markie Post was super hot too.
