  1. To play Devil's advocate (a great game BTW), Paul joined a team that was very good but had not yet already won a championship whereas Durant joined a proven championship team.  I'm happy that Kevin did what he did.  I want the most success for him in basketball and in his personal life.  F' the haters.  KD til I die.

Most of these guys in his position choose either to go where they can get the most money (a fair, but not necessarily noble choice) or where they have the best chance of winning a title.  I guess taking less money to never win a championship is the only way you can make some fans happy.

That is awesome.  7 guys drafted and all of them sucked.  You can't get that kind of consistency anywhere else in the SEC.

Flynn is prob the most famous (for a good reason, unlike Russel) of the group and he was famous as the guy that Rodgers never let get off the bench.  Nothing to brag about.

I hope OKC figures out how shitty Donovan is (n't) and fires him after next season. Thinking there will be an open position in Austin, TX.

I love Harden as a complete player and I love what Westbrook can do.  I think he's the most exciting individual player in the league.  He does nothing to enhance the players around him though and I think good players on his team will not live up to their potential with him on the team.  I also thought that they've have to have so much $$$ tied up in those 3 salaries that they couldn't afford a front court worth a damn.

  4. I suspect a lot of people who are unhappy that he went to the Warriors aren't worried about the league.  They are upset that it means THEIR team has no chance.  If he and other FA players went to their team, almost guaranteeing a championship, I suspect they'd get over their hand wringing about the league pretty quickly.

Fuck all the haters. KD doesnt owe any of you or you favorite NBA city a damn thing.  He wanted out of OKC and after nearly every team in the league came calling he chose the best situation for him.

The dude both reps UT and donates to the school and in return he gets hated on by many of our “so called” fans.

    Outstanding.

OKC was never to get over the hump.  They went to the finals with 3 NBA MVP quality players on the squad and got trounced.  Wasn't going to ever happen with Westbrook at point.  So he's gotta go to a bad team or a mediocre team to make fan's happy?  Screw that.

As a Longhorn fan, short of getting arrested or shamed in some illegal fashion, I do not care one iota about any drama caused (or perceived) in the NBA. The idea a player should avoid joining a team because it may already be too good is ridiculous.

He is a Longhorn, a great Longhorn at that, who has become a great HoF worthy professional. I don't think he is the best player ever but he sure is shit is hard to stop.

    Exactly.

He's a Longhorn and reps the University.  He's a freak of nature.  Love KD.  Lebron is the best active player and likely better than Jordan, but KD is second.

    KD til I die.

  7. I'm glad for him that he's cashing in on all his hard work, and as said above, what he said isn't anything crazy or should be thought of as controversial.

I think of being in college as being one of the best times of my life and my college experience was pretty milquetoast.  I'm pretty sure with his life in the NFL he won't feel too bad about missing out on book, a lower grade of chicks (arguably) , being on a tight budget etc.

An injury can end your career or at least your season and drop you many rounds in the draft.  He checked out on a high note.  If you are to believe aggy, he's so head injury prone that they had to take a pass on him lest his brains spill out on the sacred grass or fake grass of the Pyle field.

  8. I have no problem with him leaving though.  Risk of injury, potential of having a bad senior year, etc.  He did the right thing.  Earn the rest of your degree in the offseason.  Leaving early doesn't have to mean you wasted your education.

  9. As a guy on an extreme budget in college I lived off campus and had no "meal plan" or dining hall access.  I envied my friend living in Jester.  I'm sure the food athletes get is several steps above Jester food.  Student athletes at the University of Texas are likely in the top 5% of best fed people in their age range in the Austin area in terms of food quality, quantity, variety, access, etc.  And it'll all cooked for them.

    Whaaaaa!

I love Malik though. It's lack of perspective.  You don't realize how good you had it in college until the pressures of the real world make you realize that hanging out with your friends, working out and playing a game to the adulation of a hundred thousand in the stands and millions at home was a pretty sweet deal.

Just copy whatever Major calls at Houston. Play for play. Nobody will notice but me. And Major. And you.

We could synch our kickoff times and simulcast Major's headset mic.

Calling it now, the offense does much much much better with improved QB play and a real offensive line. Hand takes the team to another level. Beck does just fine at QB coach and co-offensive coordinator. The Beck haters will still cry and blame him for bad play calling, but the offense improves and Beck keeps his job.

A win-win scenario would be that the offense looks so much better (not world beaters, but compared to last year) that Tim Beck is given credit as a miracle worker and some other program takes him off our hands.  College football is full of programs that falter under new coaching regimes for 2-3 years, then get traction and succeed.  The narrative in those cases is usually that the coaching staff finally got their guys and are lauded for the one year they are succeeding instead of asking what the hell was going on the first 3 years when you were .500.

    It could happen...

  12. Never understood people who genuinely enjoy TB.  It doesn't taste "bad" but it's also not "good."  I eat there for no other reason than I don't want to go to the alternative or because there are no alternatives.  It would almost never be a first choice.  The worst thing about TB is that they seem to think that everyone wants some special ranch sauce or a crazy amount of sour cream on everything.  Food ends up being the consistency of diarrhea.

Did not know that Jim Rome still existed in any form or fashion.

Is he a podcast showman these days?

I didn't either but was driving through a nearby city (Sacramento) and heard his show.  Absolutely terrible.  Same juvenile shit it ever was.  His shtick was horrible.

It will just be bad much like the dumb and dumber sequel attempted a few years back.

This may be worse than the Dumb and Dumber prequel or Duece Bigalow II

horrible idea. This will be a bomb for the ages

Good story - post some pictures sometime.

Will do.  I painted the frame Monday.   I'll paint the underside of the body in a couple of days, seam seal then Raptor liner on the weekend.  Body back on frame late next week when my Dad gets here.  I'll post some picks when there's something better to see than the underside of a car or a painted frame.

Ebay is great as it reaches a huge market but the fees can be high. I always touch base with the winning bidder and we agree to settle outside of Ebay to avoid the fees.

Hemmings and carsonline.com are good websites. Are you a member of any of the bow tie forums or boards. You can sell that way too. Nice ride and good luck on the sale.

How's that work?  this would be a situation where highest bigger doesn't meet a reserve and you contact them or where there is an actual winning bidder and one of you cancels the transaction?  I don't think I could buy a car I can't see up close, but just curious.

    Sweet Malibu.
