Last year Texas finished 11-12 in conference (a game against @Ok. St. was canceled) and still almost secured a regional host spot, thanks in large part to a strong conference tournament performance.
This year, they're already 9-3, albeit the conference is much weaker than it was last year. This upcoming week of road games will be huge for rpi regardless of results, so it would be very nice to secure some Ws
For y’all that know this kind of stuff: has Kingham severely cost himself a lot of money via draft stock this year from all the poor performances? Or will they just chalk it up to some bad outings and he’ll still be as high as last year because his stuff is the same?
Double play to end the inning. Despite getting hung between 2nd and 3rd last inning, David Hamilton has been fabulous.
Since the first, CC is yet to have a man reach 2nd. 5-0 after 5 complete
"Blair Henley, known to go the distance. David Pierce probably going to ride out his midweek starter the distance tonight." So they didn't really research either.
That'll be all for me on this stream's audio tonight
I'm surprised there hasn't been any talk about moving the game up at all. It's supposed to start pouring in Corpus Christi starting around 8:30 tonight
Feel free to correct me, but I heard that the last player to have 10 wins and 10 HRs in the same season was Babe Ruth.
People think Shohei Otani is a good applicant to reach that feat
Not an overly tough schedule this week before our big matchup @College Station. Honestly 4-1 is to be expected, but who knows with this team.
Losing another conference series at home against 3-6 in conf Baylor would be a disaster. Need to make sure Texas pitchers have their act together this weekend
Ouch. Getting lit up
I mean, I guess he has been due for a bad game. So far, Blair's been consistently pretty good this year
Kats take advantage of a bunch of fastball counts. 3-0, 4 base hits this inning so far. 2 outs, runner on first
