  1. Will had two bad curves begging to be hit. Then he chases the best one.
  2. Can Powell come back from the "my bad" tap?
  3. True, but he wasn't good, and generally hasn't been good. Today, however, it's not all his fault.
  4. Easy to say after the fact, but that wouldn't have been a bad spot to PH for Kennedy. Terrible AB for JT. Ouch.
  5. 4-0 as LBJ can't get out of the 5th. Every team with a hitting pulse has punished him. Except I guess USD in the very first game of the year.
  6. He pitched well against TCU, Baylor, Washington and Cal Poly. All of those teams are in the bottom 1/3 in runs scored per game (couldn't find a team OPS comparison). I was thinking if they could get him to keep his fastball up in the zone, he might have a chance to overpower guys in shorter stints, like Morehouse did. Guess that isn't happening though.
  7. He's giving us opportunities to hit the ball just as hard.
  8. Great reminder that other teams fuck up, too.
  9. Lots of bad swings on hitter's counts so far
  10. Powell lays off some good pitches and walks.
  11. Have to hope for the best, I guess. At least we got to give another team a taste of the LBJ medicine yesterday. That 6'9" reliever has nothing but a straight fastball, and Max sat on it and didn't miss it.
  12. .game winning hit against Stanford last year quickly forgotten.
