I don't understand the difference in @YGIFS's group 3 and group 1. Group 3 is just...Republicans, Trump or no Trump. Either they were already Republicans, or the modern conservative media ecosystem has convinced them in the last 10 years that Democrats and liberals are evil.

When I feel like wringing my hands, I think about Latinos of both sexes and Black men. I'm worried that those groups have seen something in Trumpism that they like. They tend to be more conservative on social issues than the average Democrat, sometimes significantly so. Trump has dropped a lot of the traditional "fuck anyone who isn't rich" GOP messaging on economics and replaced it with populism. Even if Trump's actual policies and actions were pretty much business as usual, messaging is important. Maybe this is who YGIFS is talking about in group 3?

Ron can get back to terrorizing FL with new laws and exec orders. He needs to get an early jump on ‘28.
I think he’s on the Scott Walker career path. Don’t think he’ll actually lose like Walker, but once he’s done as governor, that’s it.

Outlaw King on Netflix.
You’ve seen this exact plot a dozen times before. Plucky, outnumbered Scots battle evil, numerically superior English. That’s the entire plot. But it’s well made and well acted and worth a couple hours of your time. Plus you get to see Florence Pugh’s boobs.

I’m 45 minutes into this and very bored.

It’s a free country and all, but these are both absolutely insane takes, and for different reasons.

So did they promise Mack they would push Sayin out? Mack committed while Sayin was still on the team. If Sayin wanted to stay, why not let them compete this spring even if the staff felt like they preferred Mack? I dunno, I’m just not buying this story.

Bama mods are claiming DeBoer pushed him out. Seems not so smart.
Pushing guys out while the portal is closed to them and open for everyone else. Truly big brain strategy.

If you’re reading this thread, and you have the means, and you’re not donating to TOF, you need to get in the motherfucker.

Got dam Texas ain’t fuckin around.
We're all in.
The other three playoff teams from this year are losing a bunch of starters and getting new coaches. Oregon, FSU, and LSU are all losing prolific QBs. tOSU will have a new QB as well and their roster is starting to show some cracks. Only Georgia is in as good a position for 2024 as we are.

Charlie for DL coach! We know he can recruit and as a position coach that was his area for a few years. Also, Red would approve he was hired for the right level of coaching on a team.
I've got bad news for you about Red...

I was pretty surprised that we took a 3rd portal receiver given that resources are finite and we have several talented underclassmen who are now transfer risks.
The flip side is that our draw for WRs is very strong right now. Our top 4 pass catchers are about to be drafted (3 in the first two rounds), we return a very experienced QB, and our offensive coaching staff is all in place. Seems possible that maybe we did just want two, all three guys wanted in, we didn't need to be the absolute highest bidder, and they were too good to say no to.

This guy looks like he was built in a lab to play tackle, but Burke abused him in our game against them. Didn't look like he had improved a ton by the time of the playoffs, either. I'm guessing he got the honors based on his recruiting ranking and heavy playing time for a playoff team.

I think it was in response to our close call victories in the middle/later part of season.
We finally pistol whipped Tech and Okie State, which made us all feel much better about the direction of the program.
I've said it the last couple of years, but the mentality on offense should be to score 50 points every game. We need to blow out the easier opponents and get our backup offensive skill players more touches moving forward. With the young depth at RB and WR, I'd love to see more players in the rotation.
We still owe OU a couple 60-spots in my ledger book. I'm not forgetting that horseshit anytime soon.

What's really gonna be funny is watching her kiss the ring after Trump buries her with unhinged birther conspiracies. Just like Cruz, Lindsey Graham, and so on. I'll never get tired of watching them humiliate themselves.

What's confounding to me is that Jerry made his money wildcatting. He has a reputation as a very good businessman. You'd think a guy with that profile would be accustomed to pushing his chips all in and taking big swings. But he's consistently shown himself to be extremely risk-averse in his management of the team. Safe coaching choices like Garrett and McCarthy and letting them hang on too long because the team is posting decent regular season records. Perpetually kicking the contract can down the road for his favorite players instead of making the hard decision. Where's the sense of ruthlessness?
This is what happens when you have an entire organization in service to one person's ego.

During the football game ABC just flashed a graphic showing that like 70% did not believe that Biden’s win was legitimate. We’re so unbelievably fucked.

We watched one episode, the Cricket one where the kid's dad is in the military and at some foreign base. The kids have hinted at it in past episodes where they play soldier.
I kind of want to know more about the Blueyverse and where some of the adults are off fighting overseas.
That's a great episode. Liked the message and it's one my kids need to hear. I interpreted it as Afghanistan. His letter said it's super hot. Not sure Australia sent people to Iraq, but definitely Afghanistan.

"Institutional investors are broadly against (an airplane manufacturer) developing new airplanes" is such an absurd statement that I just can't get over it.
The only remedy is a salty, ball-breaking regulator. Every time I hear CEOs or politicians whine about "job-killing regulations" I'm going to mentally replace the statement with "door-plug-fastening regulations".
