Heard the O-Line bullied the D-Line today.

idk how to feel about that. I know the O-Line will be a strength but damn man is Our O-Line really that dominant or our D-Line just not that good

also DB’s are playing tighter coverage on the WRs thank God!!!

We’re immediately linked to any portal DT with a pulse. I think that probably tells us all we need to know.

Not thrilled about Cojoe, Red, Kirkland, & maybe Jordan leaving . There's definitely some upside (which really just means they havent done anything yet) on that list but I guess this is how CFB is now. If you've got chance to win something and those guys weren't gonna play much at least a year PLUS you had a chance to "trade" thejm for Tiaoalii Savea, Amari Niblack, Kendrick Blackshire, Silas Bolden, Isaiah Bond, Trey Moore, Andrew Mukuba,  and Matthew Golden, I'll take that move every day of the week and twice on Sunday. It's REALLY easy dec/sion, actually. Those guyd have already mostlt fulfilled their potential. They're better players in every way than the few we]re losing (although I do thin Red wouod SHINE of given a chance. I jjust think Bolden is a better fit for that position).

i guess I just have an irrational fear of losing any young player even if we have a replacement lined up that's better than the young guy will probably ever be. I guess you can call it Jean DeLance or Adrian Colbert PTSD...  But we DEFINITELY didn't have the calibre of coaches we've got now during th 13 years that must not be discussede

Obviously you'd rather not lose guys that have their head on straight and have been working hard and might have a chance to contribute down the road. But what it boils down to is this: we have a finite number of roster spots. Do you trust that, as a program, we'll be able to replace the guys we lose with players of equivalent or better promise via HS recruiting or the portal? Right now the answer for me is an easy yes.

So if he  only stole $16M from Ohtani, does that leave another $24M unaccounted for? This could likely just be shitty reporting, but you would think they would want to provide some type of explanation for how the interpreter was able to lose so much.

    https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/39920849/ohtani-interpreter-ippei-mizuhara-stole-16m

I'm amused by the guy making bets down to $10. "I know I'm in the hole for $40m, but this $10 parlay on WNBA action tonight might just get me back on my feet!"

Anyway, if Ippei is really a fall guy, he's Cosa Nostra-level rock solid. I assume he's gonna do real time given the amounts of money involved. Shocked that he's not singing like a canary.

    - Lamont Rogers:  Kennedy - Texas made up serious ground ("they had serious ground to make up, that we cannot divulge"), good buds with Fasusi.  Business degree very important.  NIL.  Chris Gilbert - ton of credit.  OU in a big fight with Texas, Aggies, Mizzou.  Texas vs OU - one rising, one falling.  Scruggs - believes Texas vs Aggies, Mizzou 3rd.  Flood tells Rogers he (Flood) is not leaving any time soon, Lamont believes that.  And that's very important for Lamont and family.  Taking several unofficials.  Rogers coming to Texas June 14-16, for official.  Note - this is his last official.  Commitment before end of July, maybe end of June.  Lots of things lining up for Texas.  Chris Gilbert huge factor, and should get primary credit, if Texas lands him.

Were people trying to drum up rumors of Flood leaving? To me, that's what the bolded parts seem to imply. I don't remember talk of that, though.

  5. I’m as surprised as anyone that we’d kick the tires on Bear, but you gotta assume it says a lot more about how our coaches feel about the current DT depth than it does about Bear himself. Even amidst the torrential flow of Kool-Aid from Bobby this spring, the DT updates have been more like:

The Arizona guy has been a huge addition, as he tends to get blown off the ball the least of all these guys. Sydir Mitchell continues to work his way back from a really gnarly hangnail that has limited him in the spring.

In completely unrelated news, the running game looked incredible in the scrimmage portion of practice!!

  6. El Tiempo sucks and I'll happily die on that hill. Insanely overrated. I've eaten at Los Tios exactly once (Meyerland location) and while it wasn't bad exactly, it reminded me of every single strip mall Tex-Mex joint in the world circa 1994. Scratches the nostalgia itch I guess but I'm not sure why it's so popular in my 'hood. I used to be a big Ninfa's advocate (Galleria location, ain't nobody got time to go all the way to the OG), but I think it has slipped some. We still hit it on occasion when we want to feel classy. Our everyday go-to is Escalante's. Always solid if not exactly remarkable. Whoever mentioned combo plates is spot on. Hit me with a fucking Tampiquena and I'm a happy camper.

Haven't had Bludorn but Navy Blue was scrong the one time I've been. Pricey I guess, but you should probably know what you're getting yourself into.

Hope @GreenspointTexas is wrong about March. Someone just gave us a big fat gift card to it.

  7. I don't understand a world in which the Cowboys drafted some useless bum from Michigan last year at #26 overall but Sweat doesn't go in the top 64 picks.
