  1. I don't think there is any way possible to make football risk free; including short or long term conditions. I think it would be a disservice if the Big 12 expected them to play football and did not do everything the absolutely could to keep them safe. It would also be a disservice to punish a kid who doesn't want to take the risk. But if you're doing all those things than when is Covid a risk on the same mindset of all the other risks, like paralysis, or blown joints, or concussions? All of those carry the risk of life long issues. Maybe the biggest step they can do is offer students some sort of long term disability/healthcare package that covers anything that could happen by participating.
  2. If I were the Big 12 I'd say we're going to continue moving forward and will discuss with the remaining conferences how to best proceed together and allow the option of retreating to Spring later in the year if it ends up not working.
