  1. If the ACC, B12, SEC, and ND play and can get in a season (and it won't hurt if the AAC plays)...I cannot imagine why ESPN, who basically is the only media partner in the playoffs, wouldn't have the CFP as scheduled. The mouse is hemorrhaging money right now, they need the eyeballs as much as CFB does.
  2. Yes, they are. A bit of an unknown on who would watch and if you have half the sport running in the fall and the other half in the spring, which one has the drama? If no one cares about a Rose Bowl champion, you likely won't see Fall like numbers, even if people watch because a game's on. Add to that that as spring progresses more people go outside on saturdays as more go inside as the season progresses in the Fall. I imagine the broadcasters will take content over not, but I'm sure even they're worried about paying out the money in the contract with what's going on
  3. What cost more: 1)Testing and precautions 2)Lack of revenue
  4. Can't imagine that the rest wouldn't play if Texas plays. Have any Big 12 schools hinted they'd sit out?
  5. Yeah kind of feels like the tossed it out to test the waters to see if they were alone. Its one thing to lose $700m+ on your own, its another thing to lose it when no one else does.
  6. Solid take from an infectious disease expert. Doesn't say there is no risk and likely highlights why most of the smaller conferences are shuttering the fall, its going to be expensive to make it work.
  7. You misunderstand. Just because some people politicize it, does not mean that everyone is. If a doctor thinks the risk is too low or two high doesn't have to have anything to do with what the president may believe.
