Not 100% the same, but if it walks like a Teapot Dome scandal and talks like a Teapot Dome scandal…

And J-Rod finally went deep for the first time since May 27.
the Twins, especially their pitching, is in an absolute free fall. 3-14 in their last 17 with a -67 run differential (outscored by an average of 8-4 over that stretch)

The Astros announced before Friday’s game against the Cubs the Astros will welcome back 2022 World Series Champions Kyle Tucker and Ryan Pressly in a special pregame tribute.
They do a good with these.
Made it for springer and Correa’s first game back.
Will be there Friday.
not sure if i’ll make Bregman in August unfortunately-

2.5 years. Unless you are trading him like
Tucker going into his walk year.
Ok. Misunderstood 3putts post. Thought it meant UFS for the 2028 season, eg after 2027…. which did seem awfully quick

For more important questions, when is the last time Srixon had back to back winners on the PGA, including a major no less?

The problem with Keegan playing is that he’ll end up matched up with Flettwood and get ran… because Ryder Cup.

Yeah. A 1.200+ OPS for a month is quite good

he's gone in two years. 2028 ufa ...
Amid a resurgent season that is placing him among the sport’s elite, Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña has hired agent Scott Boras to represent him, a league source told The Athletic on Monday.
According to Baseball-Reference, only Aaron Judge entered Monday with more wins above replacement than Peña, who has propelled the injury-ravaged Astros into a five-game lead atop the American League West.
I know another Astros SS that had Boras as his agent and took the money when he reached UFA and we turned out ok.
next man up. Enjoy the next 1.5 years

He didn’t get any more options or anything but he’s ok with being stashed in the minors unless and until we call him up.
This.
If he were to get called up, he’d have to stay called up or be exposed to waivers to be sent back down and if no one claimed him, would have to agree to go back to the minors (think Montero or Abreu last year) or elect free agency.
the idea (albeit remote) that Singleton could replace an Astros overpriced FA 1B signing two year in a row is pretty funny though

It's hard to believe their first CWS appearance was in 1986.
It’s hard to believe USCs last was 2001.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been…Texas"-

This lineup tempting to score 10 was the most predictable thing possible after last night

Dana:
re: success picking up guys that were injured/overlooked (walter, King): pleased Walter grinded through 6 innings; Matt Hogan does a great job finding these guys; Dana will jump in and watch video before they make a move. It's what we do in Astroland and we are locked in.
Trade deadline: no secret, would be good to a get a left hand bat. to go with Yordan when he gets back and 3 when Caratini is in the lineup.
Do you have enough capital to get what you want? We have enough we can move. Likes to operate in the present but without giving away the future. As far as money is concerned, Crane has always given what we need to win in this organization.
Yordan: holding a bat and moving it around and seeing how it feels, but not swinging it yet. Will start swinging it sometime soon in the near future. (facepalm) but he's not feeling any pain.
LMJ: could see him off the mound soon, after the next few days. Could be early next week.
Javier: through live BP on Thursday. a few more lives before he goes out on rehab. He was up to 95(!). Throwing 95 on the sides, no competition, is outstanding.
Arrighetti: making really good progress; could throw his first side on Tuesday; He has his foot on the gas and we have to tell him to hold it back. He has to gradually build back up.
