He's homered in 4 of his last 5 games and we're 10 games under .500

    Right.

In hate hearing “scheduled day off” and that makes it all ok and we can’t complain.

Guy is on fire. Change the schedule.

what I’m most frustrated at is guys seemed to be finding their spot in the lineup with Pena batting 4th and Bregman down at 6.

now, because Tucker needs and off day, we have to see  Bregman back in the 4 hole

    Speaking of the Reds

Elly is now on pace for 106 steals.

    There have been 8 100- steal seasons since 1900: Maury Wills (1962), Lou Brock (1974), Rickey Henderson (1980, 1982, 1983), and Vince Coleman (1985, 1986, 1987).

    Gerald Young…

    Nice come from behind win.

I don't really get burning Abreu and Hader both with a 3 run lead after both went 1 1/3 yesterday and now both will be unavailable tomorrow.  Javier will also probably be on a low pitch count.  Whatever, score 10 in the 1st tomorrow and hopefully it won't matter.

I like you but this is a terrible post

who would you have put out there to protect a 3 run lead and would you have stayed silent when they blew it instead of screaming “how could you not throw Abreu and Hader in a save situation!”

you absolutely put those two guys out there tonight to secure a W and worry about tomorrow when it comes.

  4. Because there is not a reason for this team to have as many losses as it does. Still hoping (expecting) to get all of the crap out of the way now and start winning substantially all of the games we should.

our expected W/L is 16-21. 5 games under is a whole lot different than 11 games under.

Only the Red Sox have an expected win/ loss that’s 3 games better than their actual record right now.

  5. Alvarez (who also doubled later on) and Singleton became the only teammates to hit 115+ mph home runs in the same inning since Statcast began tracking in 2015. Before this, the Yankees were the only team to hit multiple 115+ mph homers in the same game (doing it four times, most recently on June 6, 2022, thanks to Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton).
