  1. In terms of harm done, the white supremacist is less morally culpable than the former governor who poisoned shit loads of black people. Maybe this callous indifference to the suffering of minorities is why Biden is doing so horribly with them compared to Hilldawg.
  2. Having spent a lot of time in the valley, the conservative hispanics I have met (skewing younger) tend to be predominantly male and tend not to give a shit about immigration and are not even really that religious. In my experience, they are largely similar in outlook to the stereotypical white, exurb inhabiting conservatives.
  3. lmao Biden is actively promoting Snyder's endorsement. Did he send one of these out when Richard Spencer endorsed him?
  4. Damn you got me. I thought it was bad ass that he was making all those poors drink lead until he endorsed Biden.
  5. Huge endorsement from the guy who poisoned Flint's water which disabled a bunch of children. Big time get for sleepy joe.
  6. I don't agree at all with Clay's assumed politics, I just respect the grift. Saying he's a moron is like saying the Walton's must love cheat shit made overseas for slave wages - you are confusing the source with the product.
  7. You laugh now but this fucker is going to be a Congressman or maybe even a Senator in the next ten years. If he's an absolute moron then what does that make your dumbass?
  8. Clay Travis is single handedly saving college football this year. He might be the most powerful man in the most powerful, richest, most important country in the history of mankind.
  9. By the way, did Stubbs fuck Crane’s wife? Garneau is fucking awful. Why the hell was he signed???
  10. Nice to have a professional catcher in the game.
  11. So if WS MVP George Springer signs with the Yankees next season after not receiving a competitive offer from the Astros, you would root for him to suck? That's pretty stupid. I would hope most fans would wish him success in any games not played against the Astros.
  12. His release point last year was the highest of his career. I imagine he realizes a higher release point --> higher effective spin on his fastball --> higher SwStr%. He lowered it because, for whatever reason (could be a lingering injury or something else), he's physically uncomfortable throwing at that elevated release point. Could also be because of some mechanical issue he can't find the zone with that release point. I note he also did a better job of clustering his FB/SL/CU release points last year, so maybe it's a mechanical issue.
  13. He's been somewhat worse this season - .306 xwOBA versus around .270 xwOBA last year after the same number of starts. He seems to have lowered his release point somewhat this year and his fastball is not nearly as dominant as it was last year. Still, I don't know why Astros fans are cheering on his struggles. It just looks like butthurt about him signing elsewhere.
  14. Think about what happened in 2010, and in 2016 when the Dems did not have a charismatic candidate leading the ticket. What is to stop those same things from happening (only worse as we will get someone who is deadly series like Cotton and not a clown like Trump) in 2022 and 2024? If the dems live by the same rule that has guided every one of their administrations since Carter, then the resentment that fueled Trump's election isn't going anywhere, even after cheeto dick has been defeated.
  15. This is just bemoaning the rightward drift of the party and ordinary Republican corruption, not arguing that Trump is some sui generis tyrant that must be stopped at any cost. If you had bother to read the article, you would see that the thrust of his argument is that voting in conservative Democrats will only make these problems worse.
  16. How many would be willing to bet that Joe Biden will not be the President next year if Trump loses the electoral college? Loser is IP banned.
  17. No, the point is that anyone who believes that Trump is an existential threat to democracy is a child’s understanding of how this administration actually operates.
  18. That’s the least controversial claim made in the entire article. Trump is not some aspiring dictator, and isn’t even invested in using the power he currently holds by taking an active hand in running his own administration. The things his administration have done that are anti-democratic are things that any Republican administration would do as his admin is filled with the same people as would occupy any generic Republican administration.
  19. Great piece. https://benjaminstudebaker.com/2020/08/31/the-left-case-against-supporting-joe-biden-in-the-general-election/
  20. Maybe Biden should have run as a Republican, and had he beat Trump, we could have a real election that would actually matter.
  21. I think Spencer hates Trump and realizes that the MAGA/alt-right movement is a dead end. I wouldn't be surprised if he rebrands as a radlib and pushes for segregation on a "woke" basis, as this rationale for racial discrimination will likely be more effective moving forward.
