Except Shipley was exceptionally faster than Omeire ever was and Shipley is probably one of the best route runners we have ever had.
11 hours ago, BurntOrange&White said:Yeah the slow guy, going to magically get faster.....Omeire is 995 fiction at this point.
You are reading a lot more into the comparison than what was intended. I highly doubt Scipio (or anyone else with half a brain) would ever think that Omeire is going to have anywhere near the same success Shipley did. Pulling a Shipley (or a Scaife) just means that someone is able to come back and play after losing multiple seasons to injury.

The past participle (used as an adjective here) is run.
The LA company is run by SC alums…
Never “is ran” anything, ever. 🤘

I will throw a fucking party if Steve Sarklostagain pulls off 8 wins this season. That's the height of my fantasies. I just don't think the dude is a head coach. If they exceed 8-4, drinks are on me for an hour at whatever spring game happy hour @immamac wants to set up.

Also, any fuckers thinking they're going to game the system order up Pappy or Johnny Walker Blue or some shit must live in fantasyland. I'll hedge my exposure, as I do understand what degenerates I'm dealing with here.
Yeah, you'll be the ultimate degenerate and stipulate that "drinks on me" actually meant body shots out of your navel.

Is that Shane Rink's kid? It definitely looks like him and Shane went to Cy-Fair.

I think it’s a solid write-up on the options and why, but for the framing of Troy Omeire.
Whoever has been feeding IT off-season information since Omeire arrived has always been glowing about the guy. Comparing his potential impact, if healthy, to Jordan Shipley’s when he got healthy is absurd. Shipley was hands down the better prospect from the start. Injuries sidelined him for a good long while, but he had better hands, better straight line speed and better quickness than Omeire ever dreamt of having.
In reality, Omeire can be completely ignored and the other candidates mentioned make that easy. It’s just a bizarre ongoing thing for those guys with him. It’s not like he was a 5 star out of high school. He was your basic Tom Herman special. They prioritized him over Quentin Johnston and, while we landed QJ for a bit, I think that played a role in him ultimately going elsewhere.
I think his comparison between Omeire and Shipley is more about returning from two seasons lost to injury than about about potential quality of play.

Road games against Arkansas wouldn't be quite so bad if they weren't played in Arkansas.
Arkansas is the best state for roadside jams and jellies.

All good points. This guy isn’t rich, he works at Belmont and he was referring to the coaching staff when he said there was concern. I just hope we can get the skill guys and QB enough space to be effective and prevent another Arkansas et al on defense. I guess I have some ptsd from the past decade. Recalibrating back into “show me results” mode going into the season.

I think he was saying the coaching staff was concerned about the lines.

Can’t juggle as good as his uncle, doesn’t have the concentration and determination to be great. How is this guy a 5 star?
Eli has more free time to practice juggling.

Forgive me if i'm wrong, but i don't think Finley was on the '08 team. Him and Charles left early. Oh what could've been
The 08 refers to the year drafted. Finley and Charles were both drafted in the Spring of 08.
Had they stuck around for the 08 season, oh what could've been.

This is a great contract because now Kyler is obligated to do his homework.

As long as we don't use Maton for the third game in a row, I'm feeling pretty positive.

Dogs haven’t fucked up anyone lately. My only complaint.
You know the dogs are behaving themselves at the pet hotel because The Dude told them to.
The Dude's command abides.

These references to the last ASG in Dodger Stadium have me reflecting fondly on how wicked JR Richard was that day. Ask Reggie.
He only pitched in one game after that.

All-Star curse is alive. First Alvarez (hand), then Valdez (hair), then Altuve (knee).
We need to bubble-wrap Verlander and Tucker.

Didn’t we lose Ced and Mike early that game? That was awful. I remember we jumped out to a quick lead. I was already a few pitchers deep by then. Heart break
1 hour ago, Ignatius said:We lost Ced because he ran into Mike as I remember…
We lost both of them just before halftime because Ced and Mike collided when trying to tackle a Buff returning an INT for a TD.
Ced concussed after hitting Mike's knee.

I think this is the first film/series I've seen in which a much older actor is being portrayed in his youth by another actor when I actually know very well what the old actor looked/sounded like because I watched him as a young actor. Weird.
I'd never seen any of Brando's early stuff when I saw the Godfather movies, so DeNiro didn't feel weird to me as young Andolini. But Bill Heck is doing a perfectly believable job of portraying a young Chase.
The actor playing young Lithgow is also spot on.

I'm excited about this group of freshmen, and our current commitments for the 2023 class, but notice what Georgia and Alabama did. They followed up all-time great classes with another one two years later. Georgia had what was the best class ever in 2018 and then topped it in 2020. Bama did the same in 2019 followed by 2021.
If we keep bringing in at least 4-5 great OL prospects every year (and develop them!) we will finally have the kind of offensive line with depth that we have always wanted.

Good player that I’d be glad to take in years past but our lb group is best case scenario so far. I didn’t think we’d become a serious player for Hill, this is a very good sign because he wants to win and loves football.
It’s sick that reading through it, I laughed because the scares have yet to heal.
Scared to death.
