  1. The way I read that, it seems the coaches were trying to sell him on being kinda like Hill this season and lining him up everywhere. Not telling him they thought he could be an edge defender.
  2. Yeah, no shit. Does he think wherever he goes he will only be blitzing up the middle? Not a Gary Johnson (I hate QBs and RBs) type, I suppose.
  3. No, internet was fine. I think I remember seeing in the game thread plenty of others were having the same issues, and I'm sure it was across multiple service providers.
  4. Unpossible. I was told we were arrogant and outright narcissistic for saying that every opponent we face views the game as their superbowl. No mention of the Texas side seating having been deemed unsafe? Feels like we've seen this movie before... This shit right here. Not sure what happened last week but, at least the broadcast on youtubetv, kept fucking up. I wound up switching to the antenna and had no more issues, as well as a better picture. So does this mean fuck and suck are calling our game? Can't tell by his lack of punctuation.
  5. Nah, fam. We need an H Town representation.
  6. Username doesn't match or some such. It's funny because he's in Houston and does mortgages
  7. I could've sworn Davion Curtis was another flip, but couldn't find anything. Also didn't know that he transferred to ou after junior college.
  8. Because of how quick they're going in between plays and what @Levi said above. PK likes to sub a lot and just speculating, he probably can't call the play he wants that quickly based on what the offense is showing. But you're right. It should be something he could handle most of the time.
  9. Yup. Speaks to the whole "every goal is still on the table" talk if we can learn from yesterday and move on. Agreed. The fighting Riley's have come so close to losing (FSU, too, for that matter) that it's bound to happen at some point.
  10. Yup. What good is having Murphy and Sweat in if you're not running right behind them?
  11. Because we started on their 15. Once we got close/ crossed the 50? Absolutely. One of which was a missed FG but yeah, they finally started to show the tiniest bit of life. Agreed. Troof. Which is again why you wanted to keep them off the field at all costs-- even a potential failed 4th down conversion against their special team's unit when the game is tied. Disagree. He's proven to be one of the best in the country. Going against good hurry up offenses is something he clearly needs to work on, however.
  12. He didn't. It was 3 with the quick whip route to X (and the no facemask call.)
  13. Lulz at manhandling and rag-dolls. We must have different definitions of such terms. It was a good play by Downs (lol, what a name), however.
  14. Absolutely and no one's letting the defense off the hook here. But sometimes, one side of the ball is not performing as good as the other. Remember every other game this season (minus bama)? The offense predominately sucked in the first half. We needed to kill clock and score points. The defense can't do that and hadn't proven capable of anything other than the opposite of what was needed yesterday and up to that point.
  15. Yeah but once you've crossed the 50 with less than 2 minutes left and only 1 TO on their side, snapping the ball with anything other than 1 second on the play clock is football negligence. Plus there was this little factoid I was unaware of A fucking safety was matched on either Worthy or Mitchell! Like, wtf man?! Seriously, anyone not doubting the FG, please read this Scipio's post mortem section: This isn't arm chair quarterbacking and I'm not even going to pretend to know more about the game than Sark. This is decision making within context and Sark brain farted.
  16. You serious, Clark? Out of the 12 possessions ou had, only 5 didn't result in points scored, with 1 of the 5 being a missed FG. Gabriel had 398 total yards against our defense. Not great, Bob.
  17. I love the RG reaction there at the end. "What the fuck are y'all even doing?!" Lol
  18. Oh absolutely. The only thing I can surmise is that Sark wanted to keep ou on their heels. That shit should've stopped though once the ball crossed the 50.
  19. This guy gets it. No one's arguing that the defense didn't suck yesterday. The argument is/was let's not put them in a position to suck again and cost us the game. And sure enough, they did.
  20. This is the part that gets me and what people aren't understanding here. The game was already tied. We were already on our side of the 50. Multiple injuries in ou secondary. At that point, you're playing against the clock. Go for it on 4th, against their ST unit no less, and you've got a more than decent shot to pick up the first and continue to drain clock and win. If you don't get the first, then you've still burned time and the game is still tied. With kicking the FG and kick off, giving it to them automatically at the 25 (WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T HE SQUIB DOWN THE MIDDLE?!), what's the big difference in yards? Like 7 or so putting them at the 32?
  21. This has already been discussed on its own thread but that play call was the proverbial nail in the coffin. I really hope Sark woke up this morning or even better yet, right after the FG thinking "fuck!" The guy is an OC at heart. He needs to stop with the whole "complementary football" bullshit. Especially in games like this. Other than the goal line stand, he had the offense rolling in the second half. Quinn finished, what, something like 31 of 37? And Brooks had another 100+ yard outing? Fuuuuck this shit sucks. 24 hours later it still fucking burns.
  22. So then they've got over a minute to go ~50 yards and undo what you've just done. Utilizing an offense that is a 2 minute drill at all times. Bold move, cotton...
