Penny Lane - gotta give Paul his due. Greatest composer of catchy pop songs in history. I just tend to prefer his rougher side. This kind of stuff bores me a bit. Still. Great song.
Baby You’re a Rich Man.
All You Need is Love
Both solid Beatles songs.
That album is better than I thought. I’d give it a 7 on a Beatles only scale. 5 songs in I thought we were headed for a 3.i 100% agree with you on Magical Mystery Tour. It's never an album i put on because i feel like it, but i purposely listened to it and it has some great songs.

I’m thinking of ordering a Wrangler. Which dealer should I use? Thanks in advance.
we ended up buying in San Antonio, the Jeep Wrangler Chrysler San Antonio one.
just look up inventory, call them up for best pricing, and choose the one that gives you the best price.

GoodRx is one of the biggest scams in health care and it's so crazy to see people use it. There's no such thing as "free" in health care. When you use GoodRx you are charged a fee ranging from $5 to $25 that I collect on your behalf and send to them. Because it's transmitted like insurance, I give them your name, date of birth, gender, address, telephone number, and of course the names and strength of meds you fill. What you don't see on the pharmacy end is that this usually results in a negative reimbursement so I'm paying this company to fill your prescription. A company that I don't have a contract with yet wants to the public that these are negotiated rates. Total bullshit. They're also obligated to inform you on those cards that they're not insurance because everything I transmit is not allowed reimbursement under your insurance plan. If you ever get into a situation where you need to meet your deductible or max out of pocket spending, you will spend more due to using GoodRx.
someone's mad

this whole "we want open borders" is so fucking dumb. Again, speaking as a formerly undocumented immigrant, and having conversations with my group, no one supports this shit.
contrary to what most of the racists would have you believe, the vast majority of Mexicans would rather live in Mexico than to have to move to an entire new country where they don't understand the language, don't have their food, leave their families behind, etc. The vast majority of my extended family still lives in Mexico and would never even consider moving to the US, much less illegally.
My family did not immigrate because they were refugees or fleeing from natural disasters or war. It was an economic situation and the hope for a better life (like the mast majority of Europeans who immigrated to this country).
A good first step would be to create a temporary worker's program. You're given a SS number and pay into FICA, SS, and Medicare, and can work a maximum of 6 months in the country. You're allowed to travel back and forth to visit your family in Mexico / Central America whatever. You must stay out of legal trouble or your pass is revoked. Said worker contributes to our economy, paying taxes, and sends money back to his family. THen lives the other 6 months in his own country. After 10 years, you qualify for citizenship along with your immediate family.
For those undocumented folks that have been here 10+ years, put them on a path to citizenship. Ensure they've paid taxes (my parents did so even though they were undocumented), you pay a fine, and get on a path to citizenship.
But no, the GOP and racists would never go for anything so sensible, because it's racism that's driving these policies at its core.

I have no problem with immigrants. But maybe we can mix in some fucking doctors and lawyer immigrants? There’s 10 lawn and maid crews in my neighborhood everyday, think we’ve got that covered.
America. Will bulldoze (literally for you voters in Austin) our own poor to make room for more poor.
like others said, you're missing the point, probably willfully.
you're the type of Karen that LOVES to complain about all the illegal immigration, but have no problem using them for cheap labor (the very fucking reason they're here in the first place... if there were no jobs, they wouldn't come). Just like Trump, railing against the illegals all while employing them at his own resorts.
and the doctors and lawyers and white collar professionals will come... speaking from experience as a formerly undocumented immigrant who graduated UT and does very well for himself. Most of my friends are like this, first generation Mexican-Americans who have graduated UT and doing great things.

It’s up to them and their moral compass to pay what they owe.
typical asshole who complains and bitches about immigrants, but has no issue hiring them because they will do the job better and cheaper.
quit being a hypocrite and hire only americans and pay them much more, with a check

Is the purpose of these tanning ledges so your wife can lay there with her tits out? I don't think I've ever been in a pool with one but they seem all the rage now and I don't really get the purpose.
no idea... they seem useless and a waste of space

A couple of observations on armyworms.
They prefer fescue and bermudagrass. The remnants of bahia and the tiny bit of zoysia are largely untouched. The same for the St. Augustine at one of my properties. Zero hits from those damn caterpillars.
I've let my yard get hammered. I wanted to watch the progression. It's time to kick their ass before all the green is gone.
well that explains why i see those fuckers on my deck and pool but my yard is untouched as i have zoysia.

While I lived of and on in Austin for 10 years, it’s also been nearly 10 years since the last time I lived there. Thus, I am not up to date on all the new neighborhoods and quality of schools. So I need some input.
My boss is moving to Austin from Europe by the end of the year. The office he will be working out of is near Bergstrom. Obviously I don’t want to suggest north Austin to him. Suburbs are fine. I don’t have a budget but let’s assume $450k and at least a 3/2. One kid will go into 1st grade.
I was going to suggest Buda. Commute wouldn’t be slit your wrist bad. More affordable (lulz) and schools are good (I think?). Why about far south Austin? Suggestions on which areas have best schools?
Thanks.
the commute coming out of buda will eat him up alive, but he will be able to find something decent in the $450K range.
he won't be able to get jack shit anywhere in south austin for $450K.
he can always look in round rock or pflugerville off 130. the commute isn't that bad on the tolls, and he should be able to find something ok for that price range

@cactusflinthead i have a bunch of those caterpillars. so far they're not attacking my lawn, but what do i need to spray/lay down to kill them?

Do you never run your pool pump? You do realize that the pump works harder in the filter mode than the rinse or backwash mode right? You also realize that your pump should filter all the water in your pool at least once ever 4 hours.
Do you have a severely undersized pump?
that's the advice I got from troublefreepools and that's what I went with.
don't get your panties in a wad

Depends on drain system. If he can drain it with his pool pump it is not expensive at all. What are you referring to here?
I'm saying I didn't want to put my pump through the work of draining an entire pool and risk anything going wrong.
Spend $50 to rent a submersible pump from home depot instead, and it drains at a much faster pace than using the waste function on the filter/pump

Yeah that’s my problem. I’m at the point now where i need to drain my pool and wondering if can do it myself. Thanks for the link.
i did this in the spring and it was easy. go to home depot and rent a submersible pump and do it this way. you don't want to use your expensive ass pool pump to backwash all that water.

I noticed in Mexico they'd go a little crazy for Sanborns and VIPs. Both places made me feel like I'd teleported back to a 1960s HoJo on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Sanborns has the best goddamned pan dulce in the world. The conchas are to die for.
they also sell Cuban cigars which is nice
Dude born in Monterrey checking in... will add more later
