  1. Biden has signaled an intent to serve one term, correct?  That suggests an emphasis on reform and restoration.  After 4 years of devastating Trump wreckage, we're fortunate to even have the chance to start.  Investigations need to go full steam, people need to be held accountable and punished, then bury the heads in a separate location to prevent re-animation.  Overturn Citizens United and begin to create a system for sane campaign finance.  Redouble efforts to cut off foreign meddling in our elections via both foreign cash and foreign incursions targeting elections with cyber attacks. Find ways to begin to reverse gerrymandering, and multiple forms of voter suppression and disenfranchisement.  I'd like to see serious emphasis taking on organized and systemic social media disinformation that is an accelerant for corroding our national health and discourse.  I'd like to see a serious consideration of restoring basic tenets of the fairness doctrine for broadcasters.

In short, stop the ongoing harm, start to repair and heal, and level the electoral playing field to better ensure the most qualified candidates with the best character are elected regardless of political stripe.

And there’s also demographic differences .

    Georgia - 32% Black
    Texas - 12% Black

And Georgia doesn’t have the additional complications of being on the border with a very large Hispanic population.

The size of Texas can bring good and bad.

Texas has the advantage of more big urban centers compared to just the one for Atlanta.

Texas is a much more complicated nut to crack. I don’t think what works in Georgia is necessarily what works in Texas.

And that’s the DNC’s problem and a problem with the takes from folks like AOC this week - what works in her district would get her blown the fuck out in almost all districts in both Georgia and Texas.

The DNC has to be willing to cede some control to local operatives when it comes to planning and strategy. And in the case of Texas it’s probably going to be even more micro than that - what works in Houston is going to be different from what works in El Paso and Austin. They can’t take the success of the AOC’s and The Squad and use that blueprint in purple districts or blue districts in red states.

The progressives and the centrists are going to have to respect each other’s knowledge of their own constituencies and each side is going to have to give on National messaging.

It’s not going to be easy but that’s what happens when you’re the big tent.

Good takes.  Stacy Abrams is pure gold.  A 2 GA Senate seat run-off in Jan for control of the US Senate could create a whole new level of energy there.  The national spotlight and 3 months to prepare just might create conditions for less vote suppression/re-enfranchisement of purged voters in GA to swing it.

I’ve been saying...Rs could circle the wagons and join in an impeachment in the next couple weeks as they try to shore up 2022.

Congressional R's are paralyzed.  Trump didn't get away with as much as he has these years without getting them to take a bite of the apple.  Trump peddles blackmail.  It fuels his engine.  Keep an eye on how they navigate this to avoid Trump's externalizing and spiteful blame.  Right now, they have to be the ones most hoping for a sudden infarct.

Or Trump starts packing and leaves this weekend for Mar-a-Lago, and doesn't come back, and spends his days tweeting, eating, playing golf, talking to his inner circle, and building out TrumpTV.

With the benefit that he can profit at Mar-a-Lago off of the Secret Service and WH staffers that have to stay onsite.

And I honestly think he'll reserve the most hatred for the Republicans he feels let him down, the people he actually feels betrayed him.

he's a legit flight risk who gives zero fucks.

    have to repeat this...

the stunning wall of silence from the rest of the GOP is sweet.

On one hand they can't support the mad king who has lost but is going off the rails without conceding.  On the other hand, there is a strong likelihood that a Biden presidency and DOJ will result in disclosures of just how much they did enable the corrupt mad king all along.  kind of a paralyzing place to be.

The amounts of money that are about to get poured into Georgia are going to be beyond anything people can imagine.  I wish we could clone Stacy Abrams - one for each county in Georgia.

The single most important thing Democrats can do immediately and in the short term is figure out voter suppression fixes and work-arounds.

Georgia likely removed nearly 200k from voter rolls wrongfully, report says

After this is all said and done, someone out there is going to do an analysis of what Tuesday night would have looked like had the mail-ins and early votes been counted as they came in, and that whole batch was dumped the instant polls closed in each state.

My guess is that the election would have been called for Biden by midnight, but I can't wait to read the analysis when someone puts it together.

Honestly, the doom might have been worse. Big early leads in the rust belt, Trump chipping chipping chipping away all throughout the evening.

In reality, the eventual end result was known Tuesday night.  TrumpCo knew Tuesday night.  Biden knew.  The networks are bleeding it out for their own purposes.

lol. What a coincidence that they "got tired" of Trump the day before he loses the election. Fuck Deutsche Bank.

Bank loan debt repayment vs govt asset forfeiture.
