  1. And he managed to insert a thrilling 4 minute discussion about Hollywood dance studios too. Amazing that his bizarre monologue about the most boring, inane, incomprehensible stream-of-consciousness garbage was about 1000x better than his singing. And this is coming from a longtime DLR apologist.

    The YouTube comments are gold.

"Jump back, whats that sound? Just my entire legacy crashing to the ground"

"This is the vocal equivalent of the Elaine Benes dance from Seinfeld."

"Society is so cruel these days, just look at everyone watching and not calling an ambulance."

"My cat just ran away and I don't own a damn cat."

    Gold.

Update: My dog and I were bullied and Nextdoor doesn't care!

Rex (my Dachshund) and I recently posted about him being bullied and shamed regarding his weight/build by a group of teenagers. The discussion was lively and energized. All of the comments helped with recovering from the traumatic event. Then - Nextdoor removed the post with no explanation or warning. NOW I FEEL BULLIED! I thought this was a place of love and community? Please help.

  4. The family was playing games over the holidays, and we chose one of those where people write down responses to questions, the answers are read aloud, and you get points when people pick your answer. The idea is to come up with the funniest or most clever response so people will pick it. One question was, "What is something a flight attendant never wants to hear?" People wrote down various puns and double entendre responses. Our 4 year old niece's answer was "You're stupid."  Still makes me laugh.

Psychiatrist:  "Tell me what you see in these images. What's this first one?"

Patient: "That's you, fucking my girlfriend."

    Psychiatrist:  "And this one?"

Patient: "That's you, fucking my mother and my aunt."

    Psychiatrist:  "And this one?"

Patient:  "That's you, stabbing my best friend."

    Psychiatrist:  "And this one?"

Patient:  "Aren't these usually supposed to be ink blots?"

The older version starts with a psychiatrist showing inkblots to a patient:

Psychiatrist: "What do you see in this inkblot?"

    Patient: "Two people fucking."

Psychiatrist: "And in the next one?"

    Patient: "Two more people fucking."

Psychiatrist: "And in the third one?"

    Patient: "Another couple fucking."

Psychiatrist: "Why do you see people having sex in every inkblot you see?"

Patient: "You're the one showing me the dirty pictures."

Meh. Rock and Roll is a sprint not a marathon.

Exactly. I have no idea why the DLR vs Sammy debate ever gets into life after VH. Who the hell cares what Dave is like now, who did better afterward, etc? The question is which version of the band was better when both were in their heyday.

  7. Biggest hits from the Hagar era -- essentially their Van Hagar legacy:

    Why Can't This Be Love

    Love Walks In

    Dreams

    When It's Love

    Finish What Ya Started

    Right Now

That is one big collection of shitty, shitty songs.
