Gives some perspective to how fast this shit happens.

cab but I was on safari in South Africa and saw a cheetah stalking an impala. It was amazing how fast that cheetah went from dead still to dead sprint, but even more amazing how fast that impala moved to get away.

First all, this Clash cover breaks out of the gates with the genius of Mick impersonating an English bobby siren but the second guitar riff on top is what makes the irresistible hook that pops up throughout the the song.

    My favorite Clash song.

  3. I mean, I can see why Arch would transfer:

He's a backup to a quarterback that has gotten immensely better working under Sark. Maalik is gone. Texas has all of the momentum in college football and is headed to the playoffs with a chance at a national title. Sark and co have built a team that is solid for years to come from the inside out, we're headed to the SEC next year, and fan and media interest is at a fever pitch. Every time he touches the ball the crowd goes crazy. Arch's social media presence is insane, and DKR and Texas have an incredible media reach and scale that few other schools can match. Also his family is squarely focused on him taking school and football slowly and learning from the best.

But yeah, he's totally transferring. 🙄

  4. I worked for a couple of years as a psychologist in a maximum security prison, and believe me that place was hell on earth for reasons I won't go into. Imagine the worst things you think of, and then double it. Seeing just how terribly human beings can treat each other (inmates, officers, admin, every single person there) changed me forever.

But on a more light-hearted note, my best friend and I worked at the Captain's Club out at Lake Travis for its opening weekend. We started as busboys on a Friday and the owner said he couldn't pay us much money but we could eat all the food we wanted. As high school seniors that sounded good to us. Sunday it was shut down following the worst food poisoning outbreak in Texas history. Literal sewage in the water.  Goodbye innards. We had a backpacking trip in Colorado a few days later, celebrating graduation, and we left every gas station bathroom between Austin and Denver a shit-covered hellscape.
