Yeah that's exactly the point. Those sheeptards on texags have invented the aggie fact that Tito is some huge Phil Knight style NIL donor for Texas.
And at the same time they have also invented the fact that our NIL donors are all inheritants of generational wealth, unlike the self-made badasses that donate to A&M.
Are you trying to tell me aggie created a myth based on zero factual information and repeated it to themselves until it became cannon and reality in their delusional view of the world?
Inconceivable!

is your spoilered text supposed to be an explanation for what happened in the game? Because if so you are way, way off.
You're correct, its been a hot minute.
I transposed the two. In the game its Joel lying about her rescue.
Sorry. I'll see myself out.

Killing Eugene was understandable, that was their rules. Everyone knew it, he was bit, you can't bring them back to town for a bit to say bye to people. He should have offed him in the forest and said "This is the Way."
I fully agree. I get why he sent Ellie outside in the game, I don’t fully understand why he lied about it to Gail. Even if he did, Joel could have countered that he was trying to protect Eugene's memory FOR Gail and to protect Ellie from judgement not lying to make himself feel better. However, that path actually makes Ellie look like the bad actor because had she been mature enough to keep the the last story of Eugene as a brave man who took his own life, Gail has a better perception of his end. Sometimes, people don't need to know the truth as there is no upside and Joel's actions weren't with ill intent. Eugene and Ellie are the bad actors. Eugene should have manned up, given words for Joel to share to gail and, well, taken his death like a man. Ellie should have understood or been mature enough grasp her knowledge was hurtful to Gail. Exposing that truth that served nobody, accept Ellie's own conscience.

“Natural aristocracy” is really indicative of a values system. The sort of fellows who read Animal Farm and cheered on the pigs.
Are you saying I shouldn't like bacon, ham and pepperoni?
Are you a fucking zealot fundamental Muslim?
Why should I not cheer for more pig?

I liked that episode, it definitely explained some things from earlier in the season that irked me. Season 1 Joel/Ellie can really tug on your heartstrings.
However, I thought the whole point of Joel's rampage in SLC was to save Ellie from being a lab rat for the rest of her life and likely being killed in the process. She had no idea what was going on, and the hypothesis of creating a "cure" with her blood was far-fetched at best. He was saving her from the insanity of being some stranger's guinea pig in an organization full of zealots who thought they could fix the world, it wasn't completely an act of selfishness.
If all the Fireflies needed was blood, then they wouldn't have knocked her out and taken her to an OR. They would have started with a simple blood draw every day to build up supply to work with. I thought he recognized how their plan with her wasn't adding up, and he saved her from what would be a tortuous existence, thus justifying the rampage to some degree.
I'm sure it's hard for him to talk about it all, but why doesn't he defend himself? It makes no sense to me how he's completely disarmed when discussing it.
I don't know if it was covered in the series but I'll explain what happened in the game in spoilers regarding Joel's reaction. Your call if you want understanding
SpoilerJoel killed the Gail the therapists husband Eugene. However, the tension between Joel and Ellie exists because Eugene begged to see his wife one more time after being bitten. It causes tension between Joel and Ellie at the time. Joel finally agrees not to kill Eugene and asks Ellie to go outside and get the horses. While she is gone Joel kills Eugene, which Ellie hates. Joel felt he had to in order to protect Ellie. Who knows when Eugene would turn and it could easily risk Ellie's life, not a risk Joel would take even at the cost of upsetting his "daughter" Ellie.
However, when they get to the settlement Joel tells the therapist Gail that Eugene took his own life. In the party scene in the game Joel's secret is revealed by Ellie to the crowd. Joel has no defense of the allegation by Ellie, because its true. So he doesn't argue with her at all. Based on my understanding of the show, I believe all of this holds true except for the time frame of the reveal.

Yeah this is all accomplishing 2 different goals for old "loveable" orange slice boogaloo.
First, he's shitting on the department that formerly employed him (2 times) because he's a spiteful, petulant little fucking bitch made fraud.
Second, he's laying the ground for "reasons", in advance, why Bill was successful when Mack wasn't, should it come to pass.
Mack is a fucking cancer and anyone that doesn't understand why he should have zero association with Texas athletics is a moron.

I think you continue to miss my bigger question which comes simply down to money.
Russia is running out if it.
How long can Russia keep throwing money on tech vs Russian soldiers to make a point of "we can do this longer than you can". The time may coming when Russian quite possibly simply can't afford to keep throwing drones at the problem given the financial factors.
There is also a lot about what Socom does regarding ground troops you are dismissing or aren't aware of but that discussion isn't for this thread.

The interceptors Ukraine uses to shoot them down are far more valuable in absolute and relative terms than the drones. Many of the missile attacks, especially in civilian centers, are about signaling and not military value, which you can’t use soldiers to do.
On the Norks, the Russians do not have an endless supply. Un is getting something out of this, namely the invaluable experience of real combat for some of his most capable units and a first hand look at Western-standard tactics and equipment. It’s not that he objectively values his soldiers lives; but he does want many of them back. It’s a far muddier picture than just meat for the grinder with them. And some of them are turning out to be pretty good soldiers.
I boiled it down to simplest terms.
To that end, your very point that Nork troups are getting experience has some issues as well. I don't dismiss it in broad terms but what they the Nork soldiers face aren't exactly a foreign enemy at it's peak nor a peak foreign enemy. To my knowledge there are zero US SoCom ground troops engaged in this combat. Granted, open knowledge vs reality can be a big variance in SoCom. So, as for a look at Western tactics, yeah true in a broad stroke but not relative to a true full engagement with Western tech, troops and power. Not even close. Further, they primary military tactical leadership is Russia not Un or North Korea.
However, all of that misses the entire point of my post. I actually mentioned that I thought the use of the Russian tech was more for propaganda that tactical aspects.
So let me restate the broader query.
I am interested in a CBA and ROI of Russian and Nork troops vs the air attacks. The Russian threw a lot of tech at Ukraine and didn't get a lot of tactical advantage based on what I've seen. That's a lot of financial investment for a country with financial issues vs boots that, while not unlimited, can engage at a lower cost and achieve potentially better tactical gains.
Its a military strategy question based on known issues and strategies. I dont want to completely derail the thread and it wasn't my intention. Rather it was a curiosity that admittedly jumps into a rabbit hole of deeper discussion on Russian tactics and Ukrainian/Western response.
I fully believe that Putin is not quitting/signing a truce and will continue the attack on Ukraine until he is pulled from office by death or coupe which could come in many forms.
I'm curios about the deeper dive from a military/tactical/financial perspective. That was my broader point. Again, perhaps its a separate thread from the broader discussion.

Sure those were bees and not something else? I can’t remember if it’s hornets or yellow jackets that live under ground, but they don’t play.
Yellow jackets nest in the ground. Their nest burrows can be really difficult to spot as they even use camouflage occasionally. If you're running a bush wacker on a hill and step on them you won't hear them swarming you. They WILL chase you so you might want to consider killing the engine on your portable circular saw and drop it before you tumble down the hill fighting off the 20-30 yellow jackets stinging your leg. Particularly, if you are allergic to wasps.
Does that sound like an oddly specific story? It happened to a guy I know.

Wheeler was crazy and did other bus trips too.
The only one I ever did was Texas a football game in Waco against Baylor. When we got to the stadium and got off the bus. We gathered around him to get our tickets for the game. He pulled out a bunch of tickets and I got mine, but he didn't have enough for everybody on the bus.
There was quite an argument going on when I went inside the stadium. I don't know what finally happened. I didn't want anything to do with him anymore and caught a ride home with some friends that were at the game back to Austin. It was the last time I ever saw him. All I remember was him standing there arguing with the people that didn't get their tickets and wearing that old cowboy hat he always wore.
I didnt take the bus, but went to I guess the "tailgate" for that game.
Said hello shook a few hands went to the game.

Free speech and free thinking, huh? Well, alrighty then. I dont feel any sympathy for the author, as she was too stupid to realize what she was signing up for, and it was pretty obvious all along.
This is really well written and I think it very difficult to nit pick given the author's history and disclosure levels. Thanks for posting.

I actually found doing a search for Temple College 2021 baseball roster that the played 98 games for them in 2020-21 and 2021-22:
https://tcleopards.com/sports/bsb/2021-22/bios/chestnut_travis_754t?view=career&pos=h
I don't know when he graduated from Pflugerville and the best I can tell is he isn't very big, but can run.
As you pointed out he didn't hit much for the Ags and reading his bio there he was a utility player whose biggest contribution was as a pinch runner.
He goes to St. Ed's where he hits well and racks up stolen bases, but he is 23 turning 24 next fall and I doubt he gets much attention from any MLB team aside from an offer to sign.
So I am confused where according to Mom he got "pushed out" by the NCAA.
Having heard some stories about Ray, this might explain his playing for the Banditos.
You looked deeper than I had interest in digging.
Stop trying trying to apply logic. She's a thirst trap aggie mom looking for "free legal help". That's sugar code for "Pick me" and "Be my daddy".
