Seems like a team good at containing the run would have been a better matchup against Michigan.
Seems like a team with a good Dline is a great match up against UW. 🤯

Imagine how much you all would be bitching about that drive if we had been averaging 15 ypc instead of 6.

Harbaugh just went full Sark.
Never go full Sark.

No doubt JB would have helped but we sniffed farts calling pass plays when it was clear QE was in Mr Hyde mode before the fumbles started happening.
Yeah, having JB would have just made it MORE frustrating.

Now he misses. With no pressure and a wide open receiver. Fuck you.
Penix has been "zoney" all year. He has times when he drops off a bit, usually do to.. you guessed it, being behind and pressure.

Late to the party. So running on WA seems to work? Who knew….
We've all found it very shocking.

Agree. I'm all in on Sark. But, yes, he has a few flaws. He gets too cute at times.
Over thinks shit. And puts too much faith in folks incapable of his demands.

Wow. Who knee Washington was weak against the run.
I am shocked.
Yeah... shocker for sure...

Dammit, imagine if Texas just ran the fucking ball....
Why would they have wanted to do that?!?!?

Every time Michigan runs for a first down against Washington, I die a little inside.
Yah... and I'm actively pulling for them too.

Is it possible to hate them and still think they are the best team?
Of course. Plenty of times I felt that about others. Bama specifically.

Committing to the run versus Washington seems like a pretty solid plan.
Does, doesn't it. Who'd have thunk it....

Yep, you a great running team with good OLine can dominate the Husky D.
Too bad Texas had neither.
AHEM...

How do we know Craig James didn't do it?
Were there hobo hookers in New Orleans? How did I miss them? Dammit, Craig James must have killed them all.

Smith is an idiot. If Blank keeps him around, so is he.
Penix would wake up the franchise and have them in the playoffs pronto. They certainly have other needs, but QB is the biggest of them.
1) New head coach with a clue
2) Draft Penix
3) Pick up good DE
4) Win Super Bowl

Longhorn QB debate is infinite in time, like aggie idiocy and ou suckage.
It is not actually a Texas Longhorn off season without a QB debate.
It must be, so, of course, it is.

I'll restate something I already have multiple times.
Winning the last Big XII before moving on was awesome.
Playing an amazing game against a very, very good Washington team was inspiring. It was bonus time for me. I was glad to see a great game. I was glad to be there, literally me being at the game and the team making it.
I have some issues with the coaching in the game.
As for how I'm dealing with it.
These are a group of 18-22ish year old college football players and 30-60ish year old coaches.
I don't have any control over what happens on the field other than being there and cheering them on in support.
I was and did.
That's all I can do, and it's hard to see on the losing side, but it was a fantastic game.
So, I enjoyed the party before the game that immamac put on, enjoyed the game itself, didn't love the result but viewed it as bonus time to start.
I worked through the Bama game in 09. Enjoyed the USC game in 05. Was at the Washington game in 23/24. Let that set it, I personally got the privilege of being at all 3, win or lose, it's a privilege to be able to afford and attend those games. I'm grateful that I could and did.
How am I dealing with it? I've got to work today and had to work yesterday.
So I am.

RUN
THE
FUCKING
BALL
off tackle we were gashing them
granted they started putting 7 in the box, then 6 on the line, but that was after we went away from the run
sark is an offensive scripting genius
but as the head corch you have to chuck the script when you find something that is 100%
we should have kept going up the middle until they stopped it instead of stopping it ourselves
To 2 different friends, text from the game from me.. typos and all.

We were outcoached and outplayed tonight. No doubt. UW had a veteran team, and executed at a level we did not.
I think it very clear we were out coached or.. perhaps semantics, I Sark over coached offensively and we were out coached defensively. Now, to be clear I underestimated the W line. They're better than I thought, we had no answer to their Oline and O game plan. That was out coached.
On offense, and I'm sure in this thread it's been beaten to death but I just got back from the game.. Sark had a shit early script leaning far to heavily on passing, imo. I think, running hard and often earlier might have been a punch in the nose for UW.
We didn't, at all, much to our detriment.
I'm not sold on Quinn getting where we need him to.. but hey, I wouldn't be a Texas fan without jumping into the QB controversy. That will play out in spring and if Arch is ready I belive Sark will lean winning over nice guy. His offensive arrogance in this game pretty much confirms that as I see it.
Anyway, I said it before the game. I viewed this as game as bonus action. We won the Big XII on the way out.. I would have liked to face Michigan.
We aren't, I'm bummed, but I'm still happy with the year. Not sunshine pumping. If you had told me we'd be in the CFP at the start of this year, I would have laughed at you... so..
There's my perspective, it's worth what you paid for it.

I knew it already, but sometimes is still shocks me how much Aggies really do invest more emotionally in Texas losing than A&M winning.
It's so logically flawed and unique. I truly don't know of any group of fans so singularly focused. Sure, lots a fan bases hate Texas or some other school a ton. (Auburn - Bama/Spartans-Michigab/UOhio-Ohio State) but nothing I'm else aware is so focused on one specific team losing.
One. Not their team winning, ONE team losing.

The prediction part meh. The discussion yes.
They also address just that in their discussion. They pointed out they don't think it will be close, and that they could be wrong.
I enjoyed their data based take and honesty about unknowns.

It really is bad across the board. Some league refs seem worse than others (Pac and Big XIi bad, SEC and B1G better) Then there are stupid ass refs groups with motives. (See CFP and Big XII for data points).
