  1. Is there a new kink feature in sex bots that aggie has created? I mean.. it tracks but... it's news to me.
  2. Ehhh... I agree it's definitely niche knowledge/conspiracy but I think its a bit broader than you're painting it out to be. For me it ties into the Smiley Face Murder conspiracy which, while niche, is not a small niche. I am very hesitant to go to downtown Austin. Mostly cause its a 14 hour drive for me and I'm too old. Smiley Face Wiki For the record I met @Nicole44 once near a body of water where alcohol was involved and lived to tell tail. Though I did find her parting comment to me a bit disconcerting. "You seem like a nice guy, if a little old, short and fat, but in a pinch... Nice to me you!"
  3. So, prior to watching Oppenheimer you were completely unaware that Nuclear War was bad? That tracks.
  4. I enjoyed Oppenheimer, but there was just way too much "Nuclear was is bad, mmmhhmmkay." The Prestige was a little too proud of itself. Momento was fantastic as was thr Dark Knight. Dunkirk was good but felt a little heavy handed to me but I still enjoyed it. I liked Inception as it was an interesting idea, but it wasn't a great film. I truly enjoy Nolan's work in the broad strokes. He has a fun interesting approach to film in all aspects but he does lean a little heavy towards people are really stupid. Sadly.. while it diminishes some of his films, he's not wrong.
  5. Yeah, running time aside it was a shit show of shitty exposition. I noted in my original post the friend and daughter were the fucking highlights of the episode. Every time Syd opened her pie hole I wanted to fast forward, so much so that at one point I fucking did. The only "new" insight we got was her friend looks great in her fit, the daughter is a good actress, and her friend does her extensions. Also, Syd prefers to shop at Whole Foods in Old Town Chicago. (Well, I picked that part up) Riveting.
  6. AND Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a lot of tight fitting clothes... but who likes that sort of thing.
  7. Not nearly as serious as taking silly movies seriously.
  8. I just want to clarify Worm was NOT a side journey. It was an entire episode of exposition about her choices. 45 minutes of what I view as poorly written exposition. It was not a side journey. Enjoyment is subjective and if you enjoy 45 minutes of poorly written exposition, fair, but it wasn't a side journey and brought no new development to her character arc unless you want to say "we learned she's pretty good with kids", and/or "The actress playing her really sucks at writing metaphore".
  9. Some people enjoy that occasionally Which part of some was unclear in my original post?
  10. Hope you already aligned your boy wonder. @Js1 is spoken for, btw.
  11. Eh.. it's very cliché and predictable but it's John Cena and he's the US president. It's mindless dumb entertainment. Some people enjoy that occasionally. Also:
  12. And that's fair... it's a plan and it too can work. *Carry a lighter at all times. Never know when you need to set yourself on fire or light a joint.
  13. Good post and always a good teaching moment. Situational awareness, plan to avoid, plan to escape. Train for the unexpected, plan for the worst, spend the money and learn. 90% advantage
  14. Just wanted to quickly respond here as I fully agree. I think way too many shows produce X numbers of episodes why Y would have sufficed. Reduce shitty side character archs, reduce overall characters, stick to the main story and stop with the emotional baggage that doesn't drive plot as well as overly extensive back story not relevant to core characters. Also, way too much fucking exposition. You end up with "Worms", when you just wanted to fly fish.
  15. Pretty low bar there buddy. Ahhh... which aspect am I referring to? I really don't give a shit, which is code for I care a lot. But hey, at least you're not as stupid as me, nttiawwt.
  16. C/P from the help page wanted to drop it here too. Following up a bit to what @West Kerr Horn noted above. Spoke with @InkaUtexas who was out there. In good news, the supplies and need for people is well met at this point. He sent me a pic which I will post below. Based on his information it sounds like there isn't a ton of structure nor infrastructure damage. There was a ton of resources from Federal, State and other broad local Texas assistance. There is not currently a need for people nor resources, again based on information from Inka while on site. This may change but its the current reality. In emergency response there are 3 points as a volunteer. 1) Don't add to the issues 2) If you're not contributing you're in the way. 3) If you fall into area 1 or 2, leave. Sounds harsh, but its truth. Inka and his friend found themselves as #2 so they are choosing #3. I told him I would provide this update so I am. Here is 1 pic of all the water at a single location of which there were about 10. First responders had no place to store more goods. They legitimately had too much stuff.

  18. That link was just for donations. Im trying to find a contact at a church or place in the Austin area where a trailer can be parked and efforts can organized for actual materials to collect and be driven. The primary HQ is in Kentucky. Hoping to find a local person. Right now is the time to organize the materials I put in the help thread. They will need them terribly this coming weekend or sooner if possible. People, goods and organization. If someone will provide a contact at a church and someone with a trailer I'll reach out. Feel free to post my list of needs wherever you think will get the best results. We can complain about the politics later, people action and effort is what's needed right now.
  19. Can we get back to news updates? I posted a request for help on the pinned thread as well. Please take a look when you can. So you know a lot of churches. Help me help them?
  20. Well.... um... be mindful of stairs when you're really drunk. I know a guy that died from falling down some while hammered.
  21. Gonna need some details on this perplexing dick bacon. Not because I like dick (nttiawwt) but because I like chicks who like bacon (no Vic, nttiawwt either) and because my friend was asking about it.. for science..
  22. My mom was sleeping in a tent with her team before the national guard arrived in New Orleans. To say more doxes the shit out of me. Nobody nationally ever knew her name. She was NOT alone and chose to je there. You COULD have just posted what I kept in your quote. You didn't, in this thread, and THAT is a fucking choice too. Time and place man.
  23. @Bob Lives! Thanks for that financial contribution! @Born to Run Thats a great list and input you provided. Sadly, having just dealt with similar issues in Eastern Kentucky and Wester North Carolina about 5 months ago I'll add some ideas of items folks can pull together below. I have no idea where exactly they can be taken at this point but if people are willing to buy and drive here are some ideas. Edit 6 - people are really needed. If you can get time off, load up with any of the items below and go. -need a trailer and someone to organize -cleaning wipes. More general wipes that can be used all over the body. -Liquid IV, dry packet Pedialite or any similar easy portable sort of electrolytes. -Socks lots of dry socks in various sizes. -Underwear, womens tend to be more important in various sizes. -Diapers. -Baby food/formula -Warm up type clothing for women and men in larger sizes is usually the best bet. -Shoes, these are tricky, but hiking/work shoes of various sizes in really good shape or new. I put clothes early because they really do matter most. Clean up products are great and very needed but people having clean dry socks, underwear and decent clean clothes provides a massive psychological boost to them. After that food for children. There is a massive mental aspect that is extremely critical, and clothes really do help. If you've ever had to walk around in wet socks/shoes/underwear and dirty clothes for ANY length of time, you'll understand. -Rubber gloves. Heavy duty industrial work gloves are best, kitchen cleaning are next, then something like the description below. Medical rip too easy in cleanup efforts but have use in broader terms if nothing else is available. Venom Steel Industrial Nitrile Gloves, 6 mil, 2 Layer Rip Resistant -Mops, squeegees, brooms, paper towels. There are 2 aspects. The heavier industrial ones are needed, but the dollar store ones can also be given out. It aligns to your ability to provide. Home Depot type heavy brooms and mops are best buy again all are needed. Heavy duty shop towel/paper towels are best and they go further than typical paper towel. -Masks of various sorts. Left over covid, and any type you can provide @Born to Run noted it, buy I'll say it again. Trash bags. Industrial are best, but at least heavy duty. The amount of waste is difficult to process. I would suggest collection efforts locally and finding someone with a single trailer or vehicle that can haul them all to a good distribution location. This collection method helps reduce traffic to the hurting area and allows relief vehicles better movement. I do not know the right distribution center but hope people on the ground can point those wanting to help in the right direction. Edit- I've asked someone headed to the area to volunteer for feedback on good donation distribution locations. If in Surly members want to donate efforts into local collection and/or anyone wants to volunteer a trailer for hauling goods it can be a way to contribute beyond money donations. I will provide info I get back on alterations to my list above and locations if I am told so. -Edit 3 - All staging efforts are in Comfort. If any Surly folks are trying to put goods together locally/regionally PM me and I will work to coordinate delivery location. I would do more, but as most know I live in TN and this is the best I can offer. Edit 2 -I thought I would add how I would organize were I there. This is my way, just a way, no the way, but I hope it helps. I reached out to a friend with a larger lockable trailer. If you have someone that has one ask them. If there is someone ask them to drop it to a local church where there is space that's willing. Ask the church for volunteers and ask your friends to take in donations and organize the trailer. Get it as full as fast as you can and then once a good local distribution location in the area is known have the trailer towed there... start the process over aligning to needs of the communities hit. Edit 4 - Ive asked multiple friends for a lockable trailer, location to park said trailer for collection efforts and someone who has a vehicle and can drive to my friend volunteering in comfort. Edit 5 - I now know the drop off location for items. Still looking for local Surly folks to help locally organize collection efforts, please. If any Surly members have any of these items or want to run with it please PM me. Edit - Priority updating
