You know what?  Fuck you.  You realize immigrants can't vote in federal elections, right?

It's Republicans who have abdicated their duty to stop foreign interference in our elections, who have benefited the most from gerrymandering, who have suppressed democracy where they can, who have supported Citizens United, and who have been caught engaging in voter fraud in multiple states.  Republicans are well aware that they can't maintain power with free and fair elections and act accordingly.  See Mitch McConnell.  Your political party is anti-democracy, so get the fuck out of here with your "Democrats want to cheat at the ballot box with illegals" bullshit that has been proven false by investigations under both Trump and W.

    Ignore function is your friend.

bottom line. I came to the realization you can't argue with stupid and basically the nation can't afford to have Trump in office for four more years and Facebook does in deed suck.

Yes.  You should have just said that the first time.  Sorry you spent so much time on that post.

You really want to see how that woman is doing in 2019, America?  Let’s check in on Charlie and her cats in between aerial combat scenes.

What can I say? You're absolutely right. I harp on our foreign policy and war policy reflecting the actions of an insecure teenage boy. We got to look tough. We must sneer as vicariously wield the sledgehammer of force.

The people who carry out our wars come back deeply troubled by what they've seen and been ordered to do. How strange it must be for them to encounter jock sniffers thanking them for their service and reverently calling them badasses.

Spoken or unspoken, they must think, you don't even know.

That's because we don't want to know that it's not like our fantasy. Boners were popping all across this land when the tanks rolled into Iraq. Sickos.

    To quote Guy Forsyth:

I wonder how the world sees us?  Powerful without equal, rich beyond compare, a spoiled, drunk 15 year old waving a gun in their face.

    Exhibit A:

Schumer's response:  way too fucking many words to say that the R's outright lie about wanting to cover pre-existing conditions.

They need to start using the word "lie" straight-up, no more fancy, run-on sentences.  Because it's the only way to accurately characterize the blatant lying, but also because so many people need a short soundbite to process what's happening, unfortunately.

I've been saying this since the dotard was elected.  I'm not sure why Ds still try to go forward with this decorum.  People obviously don't give a shit.

"American Exceptionalism" is idiocy.  It's nothing but a shield against any introspection or improvement.

It's as if I practiced "Brisket Physical Perfectionism" -- I'm GORGEOUS.  There's not a SINGLE THING ABOUT ME THAT'S NOT THE MOST PERFECT EVER.  And if you criticize me, you're just  a hater, and you should go back where you came from or something.*

    * All of which shields Brisket from trying to lose 50 lbs, dressing better, finally getting a decent haircut, realizing he's getting older so he ought to take care of his skin, too, etc.  Leaving Brisket to be the plain-looking fella that he ACTUALLY is.  And what's worse, it's a recipe for Brisket to get even uglier as time goes by.

America is just getting shittier, and it's in no small part because people who insist that we're fucking perfect, so how dare we actually look critically at ourselves to see how we can improve?

Yep.  We will never reach perfection and once we accept that, we should continue to strive toward it regardless.  American Exceptionalism is the opposite of that.

2001: A Space Odyssey is easily mine. I really wanted to like it, was kind of excited about it when I sat down to watch it, and grew increasingly bored and disappointed as the movie drug on. I can appreciate certain elements, but it felt like a chore to watch. I powered through but won't ever watch it again. Maybe it was better if you saw it when it was somewhat new. on mushrooms.

    Fixed.  It was glorious.

We used to be a laughing stock. Not anymore!

-Every GOP for the last 25 years. Yea, everybody thought we were great with W and now Trump.

I still think a large part of where we are comes from the bastardized idea of American Exceptionalism.

Democrats should start openly soliciting dark money from Mexican cartels. Both sides can just start taking cash from murderers. If this whole thing is gonna spiral into moral decay, might as well get a laugh out of it.

Seriously I'm almost here.  If the game is rigged and you can't beat it, you have to join it right?

He also said (again) this morning that China is paying for the tariffs and that he's giving the money to the farmers. The farmers love me.

Of his bazillion lies, this is one of the most egregious.  Though I think he actually believes it, since he doesn't seem to understand how tariffs work.
