Pretty sure this is the only time I've seen someone recount chop block penalties from a game almost a decade old.

That’s probably because there have never been two phantom chop block penalties in a cfb title game, before or since.

There were multiple other calls before that one that determined the outcome of the game.  In other words,

Yeah, like the two phantom chop block penalties in the 2009 Big XII CCG.

Good article that, if true, joins many of the pieces of the puzzle.

However, his tone regarding Tom Hermann seems to have changed since his hit piece on the eve of NSD1:

The result was a more personable coaching staff, a 33-16 victory over Mizzou and a more unified locker room.”

He left himself some wiggle room where he can claim that “things changed” between his earlier article and the bowl game.

Because they got a second back at the end of the game to kick a FG to win the 1993 National Championship and their kicker shanked it. It brings up bad memories.

That was back when there was no instant replay to allow for resetting the play clock. Annnnd, when they placed the ball for the FG attempt, they put it 5 yards closer to the goal line. NU still missed it.

I guess I missed this.  Did Plonsky push Pryor out of the booth?

That’s what was being said at the time.

During a Texas game on Raycom or whatever, I was staring at my computer, wondering what to call myself as I registered on Hornfans. It was halftime, and they had a brief shot of the band performing. The field mic picked up DJ Bob Cole excitedly pimping the LHB, and I instinctively typed “ImissWallyPryor” as my username.

Guy goes to the doctor.   Doctor says, "I need a urine sample, a semen sample, and a fecal sample.   Guy says, "I'm in kind of a hurry.  Can I just leave my underwear?"

I like the aggy version better.

  7. What is the history of 7v7 as it currently exists, not some smart ass comment about how guys have been playing flag football in parks and gym classes for decades?

  8. It makes me surly when it’s a windy day, I’m  loading groceries in the back of the Yukon, and a couple of teenage girls (18+) are walking by just when I reach up to close the cargo door and a gust of wind lifts my shirt up under my armpits.

I really wish you’d do the same thing your mom did and overdose on meth.  It would save the rest of us a lot of extra seconds of  having to read your retarded and unfunny attempts at being a thread troll.

I pictured your avatar as I read that.

    Apples vs. hand grenades.

You swing a baseball bat to advance a ball within a 90 degree area. Cricket is 360 degrees and you are protecting the wickets. A baseball curves in the air. Now imagine if pitchers could throw it in the dirt and still get strikes. Games would end up 0-0 in 9 innings.

Fielding is completely different. No gloves (except for wicket keepers) and the ball is HARD AS FUCK.

There are certain fundamentals of swinging a bat, club, axe, whatever that are universal.  I saw some of the same flaws I commented on watching Class A HS baseball playoff highlights earlier this week.  Like when I told my wife that a deep fly ball would have been a HR if the kid didn't open up so much on his swing (she was impressed with my analysis).  I saw the same shit in this high level cricket match.

Sorry to offend all the cricket fans.  Both your sport and athletes are fucking awesome!

  11. I don't know what trophy they were playing for.  The sound was off on the tv, but it was still big enough to be on television.  Athletically, they appeared to be one step above men's slow pitch softball. Maybe the blindfolded guy was injured.  And regarding the oversized gloves worn by MLB outfielders, the guys I was watching weren't athletic enough to get there, so it don't make a shit.
