  1. This is the correct public health messaging. The focus should be on closing the gaps in vaccine coverage among the unvaccinated, and in particular those under the age of 5 (at highest risk of mortality). Mortality and serious bad outcomes rates associated with measles are low in first world countries with functioning medical systems. Telling everyone to go out and get antibody testing or a booster is wrong-headed public health messaging. But public health messaging is not something that we have particularly excelled at recently. See the COVID vaccine strategy and messaging.
  2. Sorry that the alfa bank and pee pee tape thing didn't shake out for you.
  3. AnSweR tHe qUeStIoNs. AnSweR tHe qUeStIoNs. What a fucking clown.
  4. NYT ca 2014. The fighting for Donetsk has taken on a lethal pattern: The regular army bombards separatist positions from afar, followed by chaotic, violent assaults by some of the half-dozen or so paramilitary groups surrounding Donetsk who are willing to plunge into urban combat. Officials in Kiev say the militias and the army coordinate their actions, but the militias, which count about 7,000 fighters, are angry and, at times, uncontrollable. One known as Azov, which took over the village of Marinka, flies a neo-Nazi symbol resembling a Swastika as its flag. In pressing their advance, the fighters took their orders from a local army commander, rather than from Kiev. In the video of the attack, no restraint was evident. Gesturing toward a suspected pro-Russian position, one soldier screamed, “The bastards are right there!” Then he opened fire.
  5. Pretty much aligned to most of the west's take regarding neo nazi nationalism in ukraine ca. 2014.
  6. LOL. Love getting well structured history lectures about dead end hallways from the propaganda artist that dismissed the prescient warnings of George Kennan as the out of date ramblings of an old man. What a fucking world. And the clowns here eat that shit up.
  7. I thought it was entertaining. “Bitch I can still hurl a 70mph fastball” was select.
  8. I think there was a level of seriousness appropriate to the exchange.
  9. OK, grandpa. Time for you to go to bed.
  10. Unfortunately American foreign policy doesn't learn the easy lessons.
  11. It was pretty easy to cut bait on Beard. The Big Picture demanded it.
  12. I'm tuned out on that shit for my own sanity. Time has already told, and will tell again.
  13. Same. I actually appreciate your perspective. That hasn't changed.
  14. Apology accepted.
  15. good talk. all my coworkers love me. none of them are as dumb as you present though. Also. Objectively false. Making you a liar.
  16. Totally serious poster.
  17. You are tilting man. When did the US mess with Ukraine? I would like to think that you are not being serious, but the sHoW uR mAtHs makes it hard. We literally have audio tapes of neocon clowns like Nuland.
  18. You are wasting your time here. Dealing with the same energy and firing synapses that bought hook line and sinker nigerian yellow cake propaganda two decades ago.
  19. I appreciate a difference between the qualities of the US and the misadventures of US foreign policy. This is just totally divorced from reality. Non serious soundbites.
  20. Maybe he learned it by watching us.
  21. Come on Twice. This is just absurdity in the context of the 1980s-2020s. Like legit look at what transpired over that timeframe. CiVIliZed cOunTriEs uSe DiPloMaCy. Type of dumb shit we tell children. Let's talk as adults do, aware of the world around them. Yes, I think that is exactly what we have seen play out.
  22. I don't think that it will make anything look awesome, but I do think that it will help us Americans understand why the actions of the NATO powers after the fall of the Soviet Union and expansion into Ukraine in particular are viewed by the Russians as an existential threat. It's hard to draw great analogies here that will resonate, since our country and cultural identify is still in the crib relative to these peoples.
