  1. I expect hayden to be along shortly lecturing people on shitty posting behavior.
  2. Pretty much whiffed on each sentence. Jeez bonz.
  3. I wasn't arguing with anyone bozo the clown. My post was "Politics has absolutely broken some of y'all." A statement which is pretty obvious by a plain reading of the posts on the last couple pages.
  4. That some of you get more spun up at me pointing out the obvious and not the absolute brokenness on display here is unsurprising.
  5. Go fuck yourself hayden. Snipping that post in half is shitty poster behaviour.
  6. I haven't consumed much in depth news since July 3rd and don't have enough information to make much of an assessment at this point. Only seen snips here and there. So instead of putting the onus on me to make your point, which is totally unrelated to the post I made and which you quoted btw, go ahead and spill your own ink on it. It's the day after. Go ahead and play quarterback.
  7. I am not ducking anything and there are no specifics in Jim's post that you quoted. I have no doubt that there were some breakdowns and there will be Sunday morning quarterbacking. I am happy to let that run its course and discuss the details and specifics and the cards fall where they are. No go back through the posts here and read my post again.
  8. ADHD kicked in and also forgot the POC notification. May have to match my own donation. @Bob Lives! can we forward our receipt to someone?
  9. So you agree with the tone of the posts here. I guess that is fine. Feel free to compare and contrast the management in objective terms of the current tragedy with state and federal government responses to any number of prior flash flood events in Central Texas (say 2015, or go for 1987, 1998, plenty to pick from) or other natural disasters in other states (HA, NC, CA , just off the top of my head). Jesus Bozo, don't be a clown. Not everything is just broken brained politics.
  10. I am pretty comfortable with that assessment after reading the posts here.
  11. Politics has absolutely broken some of y'all.
  12. Alright, alright, alright.
  13. Time to make the donuts.
  14. Correct. And the way that it works is that ACIP advisory recommendations go to the director of the CDC (effectively RFK Jr. right now since the position has not been confirmed), who can either reject them or accept them. This week Kennedy adopted two recommendations, one related to meningococcal and the other to expanded scope for RSV vaccines. The most recent example of a CDC director rejecting an ACIP recommendation was during the prior admin when Walensky rejected an ACIP recommendation that placed some limitations on the scope of COVID booster recs.
  15. Keeper didn’t take the gk but yeah. That was special.
  16. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that no one has posted a tweet talking about the CDC expanding the scope of RSV vaccination recommendations.
  17. Sounds like the 200 dollar tax stamp requirement got reduced to $0? Is this suppressors only or also SBRs?
  18. Over 7% YTD now. The market doesn't deal in logic and reason.
  19. That looks fun.
  20. Damn. That is badass.
  21. So at the top of the thread there is this link to most active days. You can click on the date do the timewarp. Kinda funny to backtest a few things.
  22. This is all correct, and 0% politically viable. Unfortunately representative government is our achilles heel. A pent-umvirate of diverse Surly posters could literally steer this thing more true., while all probably trying to kill each other. Maybe time should be a flat circle.
  23. The immediate pivot to "RFK is going to mandate tracking devices on all Americans" is great and really thematically spot on. AAP recommended removing thimerosal from vaccines in 1999. AAP continuing to issue their own vaccine guidance is legitimately a good thing.
