  1. Speaking of Dejounte, when and why did he turn into such a dick? That trade looks like a heist right now. We'll see what it bears in fruit.
  2. They wouldn't..... Ayton has shown he shrinks in the playoffs. Ayton's a very good pick and dive big, but he either needs to extend or get a legit post game. And now he's expensive. Think I'd rather take the chance of a home run with the 3rd pick. This is a stupid idea. Besides: No. Wait, yes. Why pay a declining player a ton of money who's also a major distraction especially when he plays a similar game to one of your foundation pieces. Besides 19-20' which was weird, this is Draymond's worst year since his rookie's. Maybe if he was insanely cheap but even then..... extremely doubtful. Go home OKC fan...... you're drunk. Vassell b/c of age and fit but White's a better player right now. He should, he's 28, and in his prime. Yuck. Vassell vs Kawhi is a crazy bad comparison.
  3. Guess who’s back? Back again. Los Spurs back. Tell a friend. Let’s fucking go!!!!!!
  4. I'd like to be "forced" to sign one of the 2 biggest contracts in NFL history. And no, it wasn't at all like the Ravens initial offer. He received 50 million more in guaranteed dollars at initial signing and will get 40m in guarantees a year sooner than the initial offer, which will give him about 35m more in 2025. In any terms, on any situation, unless something comes to light like it's not guaranteed for injury or a pot violation, Lamar did okay for himself and saved himself about 7.5m not hiring an agent. You may not like Lamar or his game, but he bet on himself and did very well at the negotiating table.
  5. Ringo may end up safety. He has problems with his agility and turning in space. Look at his RAS. His shuttle and 3-cone are awful for a CB. He's big and runs well straight ahead. I think he could probably be a nice safety though. of not, a boundary corner.
  6. A fave pickup of mine too in UDFA. I'll say Dallas seems to have done pretty good in UDFA. Like 5-6 were considered draft worthy by many. Of course, we won't know until TC and these guys can see if they can contribute. Some will go PS, some will go on the IR for a redshirt year, but I seem to remember we started like 3 UDFA's on offense for a game or two last year so they can contribute. See above. Pretty interested in Kuepke, Wheat, Land, Durden, and Johnson. I'm okay with Schooner, I just dislike his age. It'll be interesting to see how Washington does, but Schooner is actually a very good athlete so in a couple of years, he could really be a contributing player playing in a nice TE room with Ferg and Hendershot (UDFA). I get he's not sexy. This was a Dan Quinn draft so we'll see what happens. Wasn't impressed by the slow corner we traded up for, either but I guess we'll see. Definitely isn't going to win many Monday morning analyst grades and that's a little worrisome but they're wrong as much as they're right. Didn't have a full "special teams" draft of infamy, but maybe not as far off. He'll probably compete for 3rd down back and KR. My concern is whenever they see him, defenses will simply blitz forcing him to play pass pro. He'll have to show he can block. If not, then he's just a little guy. But dude has hands. I'd like to see us kick the tires on Kareem Hunt. Some rumors about he lost some speed but he was also playing on a bad ankle last year. I'm intrigued if he has anything left more than Ronald Jones. He's only 27-28.
  7. I stated the same thing..... He probably is going play around 270-275 lbs, but here is a telling stat to play as package player too..... We're finally addressing our terrible run defense..... The Niners have shown us the past two years, you better be able to stop the run in the playoffs.
  8. Sort of reminds me of Bradley Anae for Fehoko, in that he's a poor athlete but just absurdly productive. Now Fehoko is much more versatile. With his build and weight, he almost looks like a spin down option on passing downs but can probably play some RDE in certain packages, can play the run too. Can't say I've seen enough of him to really weigh a heavy opinion. Not sure how this helps you get to the QB, but certainly interesting trivia...
  9. He's a really good athlete, a little better than anyone we've had since Martellus. Here's a good look. Problem is he's old. We get this guy in the 3 or 4th round, we're probably excited as hell. He's a better athlete than Ferguson and I think we can all agree we were satisfied with his rookie year. Definitely an unsexy draft thus far though. Probably get a OG in the 4th. LOL.
  10. He needs to get stronger and he's a really good athlete but not an elite for the position. I tend to trust Quinn's evaluations so I'll be cautiously optimistic and he'll be easy to root for but dude needs another 10 lbs on him and he needs to come in with his hair on fire. I'll say this, McClay and company have a game plan for their drafts and they tend to stay very specific to them. They don't account for falling players much and tend to ignore them if they do. They did see the weaknesses as a lot of us did: 0-1 Tech, CB, TE, Hair on fire LB, RB, OG. I expect to see a CB, RB or guard next....
  11. It's a defensive player. Ringo? Wow..... Overshown? Eh.... okay.
  12. For those that don't understand the reference..... As I saw one tweet, hippies grew up to be conservative assholes. Everyone wants it exactly as they wanted it like they were 21.
  13. They also dominate at the app level. ESPN the app does 5 times the number of the nearest sports app in daily views. Their streaming stuff is close to the same.... they were slow to realize the changing earth beneath them and they're bloated as hell, but they're still the Goliath of sports media and no one is close.... There's a difference between being shitty and being successful. I agree a lot of their day programming is shitty and really the live sports is the reason to flick on their channel, but where else do you consume most live action sports? Fox1? I guess if you're a huge NASCAR fan....
  14. Again, before the rise of message boards and Sports related communities..... so you've been dead audience member for 30 years. They're not going to pick you up now because you're old and don't matter in marketing.
  15. Then you were never a SportsCenter consumer anyway and frankly, my digital content department needs to make you a target, but this would make your opinion on the subject moot.
  16. This right here. Who the fuck wants to sit around a watch a couple of middle age white dudes report sports in a priority order which may be in total misalignment with your own? The reliance on the TV as the primary mode of information is a 20th century phenomenon. SportsCenter is only good if you want or get interesting game analysis after and those tend to be only the biggest games and the interesting analysis is hit or miss....
  17. It definitely feels like a player personnel issue, but it was vision or ideal issue and I'm going to guess Pop was centrai in it. He didn't want to tank. He had convinced himself that they could rebuild without tanking and for the record, I do think you can rebuild, even in a small market without actively tanking or "rebuilding", however you want to term it. But that way can't be with mistakes in the draft like Josh Primo or Lonnie Walker or Samacic and you have to be more active than the Spurs looking under every rock for some sense of value. We rode LMA and DD out for way too long, we committed to rebuilding half assed and finally reality set in and we figured out if a place like SA is going to get a generational talent or leader, it almost always going to come through the lottery and typically through a top 5 pick. Let's see if the ping pong balls go our way, because for the first time in forever, there is actually a path to a really good team in a couple of years, but things will have to line up really well for the Spurs, they'll have to snatch opportunity when it presents itself and they'll have to get lucky......
  18. Is MNlonghorn still defending this trade? Set the franchise back at least a couple of years, and maybe Ant, long-term…
  19. Actually you're correct the exclusive tag is in the 40m's. It's simply there is a slight difference in which tag was applied and the Ravens, wisely, applied the non-exclusive tag so teams can negotiate with Lamar. They made a calculated risk and read the QB market well, so the non-exclusive tag is 32m. But using your logic, maybe offer Lamar 2/82 all guaranteed and avoid all the silly franchise tag risks? Doubt Lamar takes it.... probably (and correctly) feels the Ravens won't franchise him a 2nd time.
  20. They may as well bring in Stroud..... maybe they can leak they're talking to Justin Herbert's uncle? Who gives a shit. At 22 with no 2nd rounder, they have no shot at Richardson, unless..... they were to trade Lamar which means he would have to have a contract in place. What a fucking lame attempt at leverage. I'm not following. The franchise tag for QBs this year is about 32m. Next year, probably be around 36 with the 20% kicker that's 43m. I think you're confusing the exclusive franchise tag with the non-exclusive franchise tag, which is what the Ravens tagged him with. The Ravens were wise in only hitting him with this. Dallas should have done the same with Dak back in the day. This is very possible.... Be interesting to see what Hurts gets in an extension too. Dak needs to be extended as well.
  21. He probably feels he's had a better career and his worth more than guys like Daniel Jones and Derek Carr, respectively, and wants to be compensated accordingly. Personally, I think he's sort of fucked by the system. On the open market, he doesn't have a big issue getting 45m+ AAV with somewhere around 200m guaranteed but teams don't want to give up 2 first rounders for the right to pay him that. He'll probably end up slinking back to sign his franchise deal and then hit the market next year, but that was probably always the intended solution....
  22. Yea, it's a deep draft but I don't like the top of it very much. Mayer's an average athlete, Kincaid is old and has a bad back (literally), Washington has spotty hands, Musgrave can't block, etc. I love what they did last year at TE and feel like there's a good contributor in the middle rounds this year for them. You need camp bodies. Kid can't take every rep in camp as Pollard will be recovering from major injury. We'll probably draft a guy too or at least should. Or paying a RB 12 million + who has no juice left. The 3rd RB has to be ready because you generally only carry 3 (and a FB). One goes down, the 3rd needs to be ready to play. We definitely need another starter level RB, if we can get him. If that's Davis or Dowdle or whomever, that's cool too but they need to be ready to go.
  23. Really interesting.... Highlights why we needed to upgrade our receivers but that's only if our TE position can be solidified as a little above-average and for fuck's sake, hopefully Gallup can improve to average. My lord was he fucking terrible last year, we need him like it's 2019. TE's.
