  1. Pretty good way of looking at it. It's obvious Alabama does in fact have a pretty strong record, and that OU doesn't belong in the top 4 yet; they're undefeated against a thus far weakass schedule and had to make a roaring comeback against Kansas.
  2. Note the second half of the request: "justify each team."
  3. Maybe UW will use this as the reason to jettison him. Fans have wanted it since the Montana game.
  4. I agree they're obviously ridiculously mismatched, but I've seen them look that way for so long that I don't want them to change really. The greenish tint to the pants used to bug me, but now they look more like an icey blue-silver. The Cowboys uniforms definitely aren't something you'd design from scratch nowadays, but somehow, it all kinda works.
  5. The pants lost their green hue last year.
  6. That is sincerely terrifying
  7. Thank god
  8. There's definitely some "this is a cool thing to do" BS in that age group, which is unfortunate because it demeans the experience of true trans folk. But hopefully none of your friends allowed their kids to even consider hormonal therapy or anything until they were fully beyond puberty.
  9. The idea of seeking a way to "move up" comes up every so often amongst Montana Grizzlies fans, but I really hope they never do.
  10. So ACC went from wanting to pick up Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Iowa State, etc. to taking... Charlotte and FAU. Oof.
  11. What happened?
  12. Troph, I haven't watched the special yet. Can you type out, word for word, what sentences and paragraphs of his special you believe promote violence? Full disclosure, I generally like DC. IF I watch this special I want to have a mindset that can notice things I otherwise may not. And I expect you'll accept it if I disagree with you on whether it promotes violence. But you have a perspective that I don't, so I'd value your input here.
  13. It's a good look, but reminds me of Oregon State. Your best look, by far IMO, is the Sanders era throwbacks.
  14. First saw this old coyote in April, with a completely broken leg. Back then he couldn't even tap the foot to the ground when standing still; I assumed he'd surely be dead within a couple weeks. Weeks later, I saw his mate patiently wait for him as he continued to struggle, still unable to use the leg at all, but nonetheless remarkably alive. Now, he's still limping, but definitely putting some weight on it at times. And looking healthy. Really enjoy seeing this particular animal.
  15. For the sake of argument, I'm not sure I'd say it was really the same loss... But hey, preseason rankings are dumb and we live with their reverberations.
  16. I don't think you understand the definition of the word "fact."
  17. LHN talk not going away
  18. I've loved getting into FCS ball since taking my gig with U of Montana. Not nearly as many long stoppages that totally derail you from the flow of the game.
  19. UNT has used several great uniforms the past few years, and this is the best.
  20. Disagree. It was clearly an artistic expression born out of that underlying theme. But you can't look me in the eye and honestly say you believe every little piece of writing fits into a trans metaphor. It was inspiration, not the entire script; so no, it's not "entirely" about being trans. You're simply reading way too much into the writers' thoughts on that inspiration. Perhaps you want to read that much into it for some reason; if you are trans yourself, I didn't know that (I don't follow individual posters here enough to remember personalities). If you disagree, have it. I find it a silly assertion but I don't care either way, so I'm not going to go on any back and forth about it.
  21. You're both right. The movie isn't entirely about being trans, or even mostly about it. It's a great movie with a great story. That the writers expanded on some common underlying themes (which can just as easily be applied to a host of other situations) doesn't mean it isn't also a metaphor for many other things, besides just being a great story all on its own. I was never a Matrix junkie. #1 was solid. Don't remember much about the others.
