    I was at home.

NWSt was the worst opponent I have ever seen from my home.   I seriously can't put into words how bad they were in all aspects of the game.  After about half way through the 1st quarter there was no longer effort. And the first half of the 1st quarter they were just shooting themselves in the foot.  Any ags squeezing their nutz over that victory is on the front seat of the roller coaster with their hands up.

    You win

  2. MONTGOMERY, Texas (Fox) - The mystery woman seen in the surveillance video ringing doorbells in Montgomery County was apparently escaping sexual assault.

The video which was posted last week has garnered international attention.

On Wednesday, Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies said the woman's boyfriend, Dennis Ray Collins, 49, died by suicide at their house in the Sunrise Ranch Subdivision.

I watched a Sheriff's news conference of this yesterday but can't find it today.  After she rang the doorbells and got no response she went back to the house she was held in and then left and went to Dallas without telling anyone.  Then her captor sees all the news about this and at some point commits suicide?

  3. I was at the game for, well... reasons.

I think the OLine will be brutal this year and the passing game is likely to be way worse than people think.   If they get down on anyone they are going to have a very rough time coming back from it.  And that could happen a lot.

    Sternberger was impressive.

I don't think the QB battle is over.

On D, that secondary is going to be exposed by any competent talent.    Also of note, is the fact that aggie did not get a single turnover.  NWst should have had several turnovers but I don't recall the aggies even have an opportunity.

There was just not much that can be taken taken from this game.  It was trash.  Not that I didn't know it would be going in.

  4. I just don't see how in the hell we can be as gawd awful as last season in the big games.  You people predicting 7-5 are making me ragey.  If we have an 0-4 stretch I fear I will not live through it.

I agree with the importance of the USC game.    Even though it is one game it could spell the difference in a 9 or more win season or a 7 or less win season.

The young man appears to be very good at the game of football.

    That was ridiculous.

I was shocked.  On some of those plays he didn't score.  And those were they plays I was shocked by.  Kid is TD machine.

This is what I really feared about Strong’s recruits. While we were giddy over Malikmas and the signing day massacre, the fact that Strong completely bypassed the high school coaches meant that he couldn’t get the mental and work ethic evaluations of recruits very easily.

Whenever you look at the 4 and 5 star recruiting list, there are always a healthy number of busts. Those busts are not due to physical tools. Physical tools are why they made the 4-5 star list in the first place (unless they were just over-hyped). The busts are due mostly to mental makeup, or injuries. It’s looking more and more like Strong was getting a lot of the 4 stars that lacked the work ethic and/or mental makeup to be successful. Of course, there were probably some 4 stars that should not have been rated 4 stars because they got over-hyped. Strong may have picked up some of those too. Again, the high school coaches are a crucial data source for over-hyped guys.

In summary, it’s looking like Strong’s supposed forte, recruiting, maybe wasn’t quite as good as people thought.

It is going to be interesting to me to see what Strong's guys do in the NFL.  I don't think it was an eval problem.  I think it was kids buying into winning and doing what it takes to win while they were in college.  I think it was a motivational problem.

In the NFL these guys are fighting to make teams and will fight for playing time.  If they don't they will not be around very long.  If they are successful in the NFL that will tell me a lot about what Strong did with the players he had while he was here.
