  1. I would try to make his life fucking miserable until he quits.
  2. I wondered if Bear claiming he wanted to keep practicing had something to do with his NIL contract. I.e., still a student athlete and part of the team despite electing to redshirt. I have never seen an actual contract but know they can't be structured as pay to play but can be conditioned on being a student athlete.
  3. And yet he knows 10X more than Corby. Corby, the self proclaimed Ticket college football "expert" last week in segments I listened to claimed (i) he had no idea Tom Herman was still involved in college football and (ii) was shocked that Milroe had a top 5 or so deep ball efficiency rating during the 2023 season (literally the only thing Milroe did well since day 1 last year as anyone that pays attention to college football would know). There was something else last week equally basic he was either wrong about or didn't know I'm forgetting. But I'll never understand how the guy who's entire job is "sports talk" and claims to be an "expert" in a sport, somehow knows significantly less than the vast majority of college football fans. So fucking lazy
  4. I mean 'croots getting Lambo's' at Texas is talked about on message boards and sports twitter all over the country every time we have a recruiting event. There is absolutely value to the Lambo brand for their NIL relationship with Texas players.
  5. As it relates to OU's demise specifically we just need to beat them. If we fuck that game up again he still has that bright spot to sell regardless of how the rest of the season goes. If they lose that game, their schedule will take care of the rest.
  6. But this is the problem with that strategy. This OU fanbase is so used to winning they will have absolutely zero patience for a methodical rebuild. When they don't win the SEC this year, it will be the longest stretch without a conference title since they broke the drought between 1987 and 2000. Their schedule is brutal but if they go something like 6-6 Venables is going to be under a ton of heat to win next year. Is a Hawkins that is running for his life/getting beat up every week going to somehow be ready to take a huge step forward in a must win year under very likely a new coordinator? Or is it more likely Venables feels he has to make moves to win 9 or 10 games in 2025 and blow his NIL fund to bring in a veteran (and then what do you do if you are Hawkins and does OU have the NIL budget to pay a top QB and fill out their roster). There flat out isn't a good scenario available to Venables right now outside of Hawkins somehow making the staff and the fanbase confident that he is going to be much improved as a Soph and elite by (OU standards) his Junior year. So good luck with all of that Brent.
  7. That's interesting if accurate as I pretty much assumed Gabriel saw what was coming from an OL perspective (with a concussion injury history) + Lebby leaving (the only reason DG went to OU) and was perfectly content playing in a better offense for what I assume was a bigger payday. If Venables watched Arnold all last fall and made the choice to roll with him then OU really is in trouble.
  8. Venables may not have many options if Arnold is really that bad (I was at our game and didn't watch but I've certainly seen enough commentary to that effect) but asking a true FR to come in and play hero ball behind a shitty OL without playmakers at WR will either end up getting him hurt or best case just completely fuck up his development. OU fans will bitch and moan and Venables will bring in a high $$ portal QB to "compete" eventually resulting in Hawkins saying fuck this and transferring leaving OU with zero QB depth in '25. I can see it now and it's glorious.
  9. I watched a Charlie Strong coached Texas team that had lost 3 straight including 50-7 to TCU the week before beat a Stoops/Riley OU team to give them their only regular season loss that year. So I'll never take anything for granted in that game.
  10. I read somewhere a report that the initial plan was to coordinate detonation simultaneously with a more conventional attack but Israel had intelligence there was some suspicion by a couple of operatives that their pagers had been tampered with so Israel decided to go ahead and detonate earlier than planned. In any event, I agree highly effective regardless for all of the reasons outlined above.
  11. Considering he's always promoting whatever his website is (no idea as I would never consider giving that fat moron a single click) it sure seems like he is paying to be on their show. And I'm a big fan of full ride but any Mike Farrell segment is an auto tune out.
  12. Matt Ryan on the Manning Cast. Pretty high quality QB commentary.
  13. I mean they beat UAB by 26. They aren't good but they may be better than UTSA.
  14. As someone who has also used all 3 also this is crazy to me but to each their own. Maybe DTV streaming has improved since I tried it 2 years ago (for regional sports) and thought it was complete dogshit. I've had FUBO frequently outside of football season for regional sports and really don't like it at all but liked it better than DTV.
  15. Yeah, not following that at all. Can't fathom how anyone would prefer DTV over YTTV in the year of our lord 2024.
  16. I figured there was targeting discussion in this thread. If you would have shown me the 2 plays back to back, I would have guessed both would have been called, but if you told me only 1 was called, I would have guessed the first one against ASU. Would like to see a replay and an explanation as to why that was overturned because I clearly still have no idea what targeting is (and I'm guessing neither does anyone else - seems like it is still a total crapshoot).
  17. Everyone should go listen on the Sportsday app to the Klatt segment LOL. It was quintessential douchebag Corby and Aggy Bob attempting to downplay the Texas win (and overall Texas team) due to Michigan losing players and/or overall schedule (bitch ass Corby's favorite Texags talking point he's going to cling to all season) and Klatt called them out on it.
  18. Your algorithm may be telling you that and maybe the Clay Travis douchebag's of the world post her clips, but I seriously doubt a bunch of "MAGA" are attending and/or watching a lot of women's basketball LOL.
  19. This. It never crossed my mind that anything about CC was "MAGA". Agreed a massive stretch that she is losing any material chunk of her fanbase. Not to mention her interview after liking the tweet was the typical athlete PC response that doesn't want to get drug into the political nonsense (which I completely respect)
  20. That was so hilarious. You know damn well her strategy was to find some way to get that in early to piss him off and it worked masterfully.
  21. Put me in the category of enjoying that Hudson is living with the consequences of his actions. But given that he's hardly getting any PT, I'm genuinely curious if he was significantly overrated or McGuire is bringing back Mack Brown's "can't trust freshman" or "make them earn it" policy to the year 2024. You have FR WR's making plays all over the country through 2 games. I refuse to believe Tech is THAT talented at WR.
  22. Yep, UTSA doesn't appear to really appear to have much at all this year. ULM whipped up on UAB last week and gets a bye week so Sark will have that to get some focus next week but UTSA should absolutely be a depth building game
  23. Really the entire station. Or at least this time of year. I still check in for college football talk almost to hate listen (other than the Klatt segment) as to just how god awful the 'analysis' is. Simple George's preseason take on the horns was fitting of his name and Bob and Corby's lazy takes are just as they have always been. But with so much cowboys talk + Rangers sucking, no Mavs and no Stars, I've pivoted to probably 80% Sirius XM84 for both drive time and dog walk time.
  24. As noted by Hornian I think the Texas allotment are all spread across that corner through endzone on high rows. But sounds like people are sitting all over the stadium. I'm guessing just about anywhere outside of UM student sections you will find Texas fans somewhat close by. I'm sitting with some friends in 16 and others i know going are probably in 4 or 5 different sections.
  25. Fair. I always think of that '22 Bama D as tougher but maybe that's because we played so well against the '23 version and that isn't giving enough credit to our guys. I think clearly Michigan isn't as talented or deep as last year, but I know I saw preseason previews that projected both Graham and Johnson as top 5 picks with the other DE as a likely first rounder as well. That's a pretty good start to a really solid defense. We'll see Saturday but I'm going to be pretty surprised if we just go up and down the field like some are expecting.
