  1. BOOOOOOM! Everyone that motherfucked Quinn for 3 pages over a protection issue tip should immediately go fucking neg yourself!
  2. Put one fuckin hand on his chest and he can't elevate. It was a total whiff by Jake. But yes Surlyhorns Football Board Morons - Quinn Sucks. Bench him immediately!
  3. I'm SHOCKED this board is motherfucking Quinn and wanting to sit him because Jake Fucking Majors can't get a body/hands on someone right in front of him allowing a free jump at the pass. JFC.
  4. Long time coming in that building. Great performance across the board tonight.
  5. VY never had an elite deep ball if that is who you are thinking of in my view. He was behind those listed.
  6. Missed this yesterday but will stand by it as catching up on Von Lane into town. Major had a nice deep ball (not enough arm talent). Simms had a nice, accurate deep ball but not enough touch. Colt's was great, Buechele's was great. Ewers deep ball is behind all of these (though elite short and intermediate). I think Arch's deep ball has best combo of arm talent, touch and accuracy of all though based on early returns. Tell me where I'm wrong.
  7. What's crazy (after the last 15 years and particularly with what Georgia has been) is if both teams played their best game I think Texas wins. It's close but I like the Texas roster better top to bottom.
  8. Still WTF. Explain your comment. When has Sark had a "blind spot" as it relates to QB management? 2021 when he had to choose between 2 shitty QB's with a shitty OL to boot? 2022 when there is a need to get your future multi-year starter QB experience in a year you aren't competing for a national championship (and your backup is the shitty QB that couldn't win the job the year before)? 2023 OU game first quarter when your backup was MM?? If you want to talk about Sark getting aggressive on 4th down or not taking points, that is fair criticism, but I'm struggling to understand where he has a "blind spot" regarding QB management. I mean if you want to say 2022 OSU or TCU games I guess there is an argument to made although I have zero faith Card could have performed better and I think any coach would tell you that you have to let your young QB's work through tough games. You can't just pull a QB first sign of adversity.
  9. Playing through your starting QB having a rough start against a top tier defense after missing a month when your opponent has absolute shit for offense is a blind spot? JFC
  10. I think Manning has a higher ceiling than QE and I think Manning is already the best deep ball passer Texas has ever had. But we've seen him struggle some in the short and intermediate passing game against shit defenses. Again, I suggest everyone go back and watch 'The Film Guy' breakdown of the first quarter and OU's scheme that confused Quinn. It was really solid and I'm betting they hadn't put it on film. They had a bye week to coach it and it was executed really well. I don't think Manning would have fared much better those first few possessions. Manning has yet to take a single snap against a quality defense and QE has taken a bunch over the last 3 seasons. Absent injury or flat multi-turnover disastrous start where it's clear it got to his head, I don't see any chance Arch is playing even if we come out slow
  11. "The Film Guy" breakdown of what OU was doing with their secondary to confuse Quinn in the first quarter was good shit. I'm sure not the first time we've seen it but it was executed really well. Could tell a really well coached and prepared defense. It wasn't just that QE was 'rusty', they took away his pre-snap read and QE was slow to process it. I hope in hindsight it was good for him to get that kind of a test right off the bat after a month off, because those are plays a dialed in QE reads and makes.
  12. That one and pretty sure one busted out when Yormark was on stage presenting the Big 12 championship trophy. That was also acceptable usage.
  13. Right and I get with low limits it's hard to shift odds but seems a bit surprising as you would think there would be enough following data closely to flip it back at favorable odds. I had a private bookie back in the Obama/McCain election who had odds on the election back when I was betting far more frequently (haven't placed a bet outside of Vegas in years). There was a big shift to even right when Palin was announced which created some temporary momentum (before she became a liability). I put $1K down as soon as odds were even and it was easiest $1K I ever made. I'm not following polls closely, but if there is compelling data that is still reflecting Harris as a slight favorite, seems like there is good value to be had right now if one were inclined.
  14. Maybe it's been discussed at length (I certainly miss pages of this thread of a time, so point me to a page number if I'm rehashing old shit) but can anyone explain the disconnect between the betting markets and polls? I'm not following closely so maybe a poll shift but most I've seen still seem to be predicting a narrow Harris win. But Trump appears to be a relatively comfortable favorite in the betting markets. I don't think presidential betting reflect the market the same extent as sports betting (with actual regulated books not taking bets + small $ limits, etc.) but still a bit surprising.
  15. Neuheisal is the first national expert I've heard that picked Georgia (this AM on Sirius XM). His premise was our secondary just hasn't been tested at all (fair) and that he thinks Beck will be able to put up points on us. He also said he wouldn't be surprised if Texas wins or even if Texas wins comfortably and generally thinks it's going to be a great chess match/game, but that was where he was leaning (also noting Georgia is a bit more desperate and Kirby will have them amped up). I thought it was fair take I thought. I tend to agree if we lose it will resemble something similar to OU or UW game last year where we make some mistakes on offense and run into a hot QB. Our secondary and defense generally played poorly against OU but Penix Jr. was just on fire against us. Beck playing at an elite level he hasn't really showed yet this season with no turnovers is how we lose.
  16. I'm actually already doing that for our elementary auction and split tix with a buddy so pretty limited there.
  17. I think the regular season is too long period given the grind of the playoffs but that's another discussion (not to mention would not work for the league economically to give up games). But I would gladly trade relevant sports in the middle of summer dead period in exchange for less overlap with football season. I love the Stars and hockey generally but college football Saturdays will always come first. I'm sure others feel the same about NFL. I think the NBA should do the same FWIW. Both sports lose a ton of potential viewers for Sat/Sun/Mon/Thur games during the fall (not to mention MLB post-season)
  18. Nice work. I knew I would have nothing left in the tank after TX/OU game so sold first 2 games as well as next game. And I'll be in Austin for UGA Sat and then have stuff the next Sat as well. So who knows when I'll actually be able to make a damn game. Unpopular opinion but hockey season shouldn't start until mid-November. Fall is too damn busy.
  19. LOL that is just perfect audio. I'll never understand why so many people continue to spend a shit ton of $$ and/or emotional energy on this franchise with that moron in charge. I would like to think maybe this debacle of a season and middle of the pack years that will follow would move the needle but nothing has changed in 20+ years and people keep lining that idiots pockets. I love the Stars, Rangers and Mavs but don't give 2 shits about the Cowboys and haven't for a long time and that interview is case and point why. He has absolutely no idea how to run a team and will just fire anyone that calls him out on his bullshit.
  20. Particularly when scalpers have consistently managed to get around whatever bot protection is put in place to buy out all the mispriced inventory ahead of the general public. I have no issue with up front dynamic pricing at all. Now if people want to bitch about tickemaster up front fees or 3rd party resale fees being exorbitant then I'm here for it.
  21. You don't think the artist or team consents to dynamic pricing at the initial sale and taking a cut? They are trying to capture that profit instead of scalpers
  22. Yeah, I was 10. I had gone to games before but first 'big game' I really remember (at least recall understanding it was a really big deal). My biggest memory is my dad took me down to the drag afterwards with everyone going insane and I thought it was the craziest thing I've ever seen. Good times.
  23. Of course this game should worry you. It's Georgia. The only team on our schedule with a comparable roster. They have an infinitely better offense than we have played to date. Tons of talent on D even if not playing to Kirby's standard. And they will effectively be playing for their season. I like our chances but Vegas has this as a close game for a reason. Winning the turnover battle will be huge in this one.
