  1. This is why I'm not sold on UH in march. They are well coached and talented, but shorthanded. I'm not sure they can endure the tourney grind.

Yeah they didnt seem to have anyone they trusted (or any player who wanted) to take the ball and get a shot when SMU turned up their pressure the last part of the game. Serms like their offense has to really be executing well for them to get shots within it

  2. Kansas is SOFT in the paint...McCormack and Lightfoot are not that good. Their strength comes from their perimeter guys also being able to rebound and run out. They score a lot because of those backcourt guys being able to pass, drive and shoot well. I'd give them all the shots int he paint they wanted if it means they don't make jumpers. Their bigs will turn it over a lot if you can bait them into pounding it down to them. I think the Horns win this one, rather easily, too. I see a 10+ point victory.

I like the way you see it playing it out…hope ur prediction is spot on!

  3. Kansas hoops team and staff just walked through the hotel.  I know it's a basketball team, but holy shit---they look tall even for a basketball team.  I'm 6'1" and not even the equipment manager was at eye level with me.  The coaches conversation in the hallway sounded like the kinda shit Ted Lasso would be talking about on gameday with Beard and Kent.
    Let's pull off the upset!

If there’s anything you can do to help your team’s chances tonight, I’m sure no one here would object/blame u for doing so…ijs !

  4. Over/Under 131.5
Imo if you like Texas’ chance to win tonight it MUST stay under the proposed total! I dont like their chances to “outscore” KU. Gotta control/contain them offensively to give themselves a legit chance to get the dub!

  5. So this Texas team has 10 games remaining, which I don't think many will argue, make up the toughest portion of their schedule (hell I've seen some list it as the toughest finishing stretch in the country). But I'm a firm believer that challenges present opportunities. And there's definitely a bounty of opportunity left ahead of them to make some real attention grabbing noise nationally and boost their own confidence collectively.

So 6 games against KU, Baylor & Tech left(3-3 prediction): Baylor's come down to earth (3-3 in their last 6). KU has a great record, but as Saturday kind of illuminated, they aren't a 'great' KU team by any stretch. Tech - well this is our new Bball rival. For all the reasons everyone already knows. These are going to be absolute WARs I think. Tough physical ball games. I just hope they don't take too much of the teams going forward!!!

Remaining 4, i can see us going 3-1 in ( ISU, @ hOeU, TCU & @ WVU): Iowa St we owe a lil something. And think by the time we get to those others we'll be playing better ball and it'll show.

I get the feeling that Beard is building towards something (or damn it i want to believe that he is). But there's been so many years where we've peaked at this point in the season. Only to see expectations grow while our play plateaued or even receded at times. I just think the growth here with this veteran squad is little more incremental and not as noticeable. But here's to hoping that Texas is playing its best ball of the year in 4/5 weeks rather than at the end of January!!!
