  1. Whatever it is, if true needs to have hard collaboration and confirmation. Won't matter with his sheeple but maybe you get some "I'm not voting for anyone" people to go for Harris. There are a lot of those people.
  2. Yup. Option one: I really dislike this administration although they say that what is happening to the people of Gaza is horrible Option two: I really dislike this guy and he has said that the government who is doing these things to the people of Gaza should be allowed to do more of it... untethered, unleashed. He's also actively telling him to ignore option one people who want a cease fire. Oh, he wants to ban my people. Hmmmm... yeah, option two sounds good.
  3. Looks like they won the race to be the first to open
  4. Can you provide me some concrete examples where political enemies were jailed and had not committed a criminal offense?
  5. I think polling is generally not accurate and early voting numbers are starting to flash a signal that Harris is going to win comfortably.
  6. It was 52 at our house yesterday morning - felt glorious. Not as much today but still... at least the mornings are a bit of a relief.
  7. Noticed new "boys in girls bathroom" ads for yet another candidate. What is it with the GQP going all in on this particular message?
  8. Austin Oaks church in SW Austin - yesterday afternoon. Took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Probably 100 people in line when I got there... snaked out the church and down the sidewalk into the Texas sun. 3 workers at the table, dozen voting machines. Its Austin so I know how the county will vote but lots of olds in line. Hopefully they're voting to keep their Medicare benefits.
  9. For your reference, the location off of Monterey oaks had three people checking in and a dozen machines. Which reminds me of bolverk pointing out that his small rural location had the same amount of machines. Doesn't seem very logical
  10. Yeah I pretty much voted straight ticket except for one single person. That said, took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to finally vote. Was told it was 2 hours earlier today. Worst was the old couple standing too close behind me and the old man farting in front of me
  11. But can I tell you some doofus Just walked out wearing a big American flag we the people shirt?
  12. Hmmm... could've gone out closer to Lakeway and had someone tell at me to "Speak English, Mexican!?"
  13. Reading Surly... equally offensive
  14. Standing in line in SW Austin.. been here maybe 45 minutes... still have a ways to get in. I know how to pick them! Well, I do know how to pick them at the ballot box. Not a fan of the close standing person behind me, though.
  15. I don't know that its a kill them with kindness approach but an understanding on what both sides need to do. Not just what we will provide but reforms they need to implement. Again, as you're saying... the current approach hasn't done anything positive. I suppose we can help them and they can pay us in Yordan Alvarez x 100 https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2018/12/02/havana-cuba-collapsing-buildings-housing-unesco/1998606002/
  16. That's just it... like real diplomacy to change the course of that country with good faith support to help rebuild Cuba. Of course, "why are we sending mah tax dollars to Cuba when my iPhone costs do damn much!? I N F L A T I O N !?"
  17. Wouldn't it be interesting if we reached out a hand to Cuba and said, "hey, stop being dicks to your people and let us help you bring your country forward" like as a legit olive branch? I know it sounds simplistic but some people want to keep alienating them and what does that get anyone?
  18. The good news is that lawns in Tarrytown and Westlake look beautifully green so we're good
  19. Lifts are spinning at the top at Val Senales in Italy...
  20. I've used that story with my teenagers to warn them about the dangers of gambling addiction Seriously
