  1. Back to casual wear, I'm thinking of a new look... one or two?
  2. Good. Please do all your building NE. Thx.
  3. Y'all, these two clowns have nothing on the guys who work at Maufrais on South Congress. The way they dress is *chef's kiss* cowboy cosplay. Next time you go to the Oak Garden at Guero's for a drink and live music, stroll up to Maufrais and check them out.
  4. Have to dull the senses before eating
  5. Holy smokes... when Los Tios is the "best Mexican food in town", that tells me the Mexican food in Fredericksburg must suuuuuck. There's a reason people call it "Gross Tios"
  6. Its just going to ask you a couple of questions
  7. Ours in Travis County went up around 10%. Last year it took a nice plunge which was great but I see that's going to get "corrected" gradually
  8. Oh, I have no doubt you met with Love Boat royalty. Bro... you were one handshake away from the Brady Bunch!
  9. Was he taking a break from making an appearance on Love Boat or Fantasy Island?
  10. That ember on the YETI is seriously scary

    New Music 2025

New single by Girl and Girl
  12. Yeah, when it came to thinking about how to save money, waders was what I really had in mind. Take this to the Fisherman Thread of Dominance.
  13. Anyone mention Encinitas or Solana Beach? Love those towns.
  14. Bruh... are you serious? Family of four, I'm the cook. Precut stuff is ridiculously expensive unless you're talking about frozen vegetables. I can buy a head of cauliflower for $2.89 or whatever it costs and cut it myself or I can get a bag of pre-cut cauliflower for more to get less. It doesn't take that long. Cutting veggies is not like resodding a yard.
  15. Kind of like passing over Land-o-Lakes butter and passing over HEB brand to get Hill Country Fare. Its like half the cost. Hill Country Fare FTW.
  16. Kind of like Tokyo. Department stores often have lots of options and excellent, high quality food.
  17. Time to switch to Richard's Rainwater
  18. Yes on the pork buns and YES on the mugginess. We went in June.
  19. Father? I'm already insinuating to my family that we will be eating more at home. They'll have to learn to get adventurous and cope with my better-than-average cooking. And y'all know I love traveling. I had previously booked a trip to Hawaii for the family after deferring for 25 years. Well, I booked two weeks but damn the cost so I lopped a week off. Half of too much is better than still too much! Next up... I really like Lifetime but it costs an assload. Time to look at Crunch!
  20. Certainly cutting back when going out. I could have a cocktail but I could also have a Lone Star.
  21. Well... you know, for some weird reason, some of us might be looking to save money lately. No reason. So, what are you doing to try to save money? I'll start... I've been with the same auto insurance provider for a long ass time. I stuck with them for years. Apparently they had been sticking it to me for years. Well, my homeowner's insurance broker reached out and said, "hey, do you want us to help you with an auto policy?" and I said, sure... why not. Well, sure enough, they were absolutely raking me over the coals. So, I switched to Progressive and my premium dropped about 45% which is ludicrous. Anyway, that's one. Also... damn we have too many streaming services. I'm going to ask the family to pick at least one to axe. All that crap adds up.
  22. I'll stick to those glorious pork buns... the ones that sear the roof of your mouth
