From what I can find, at 76 years old, all this driver has to do to prove he’s still capable is a vision test every 5 years.
The kids fucked up trying to go between cross walks, but I’d have a hard time not putting any blame on the driver.
I’d have to see the street. They said it was a 4 lane road man. My cul de sac is right off a busy 4 lane road that frequently has 18 wheelers barrelling down it, and a small median with trees, and no lights for at least a mile. If a kid jumped out behind one of those, I can easily see someone not being able to stop in time.
and the article said “the 10 year old tried to hold him back.” To me that screams the car was fairly close.

I wonder if they bothered arresting the driver? You know, the person that actually killed the kud.
They said he’d face no charges

And it’s punitive by people with no perceivable vested emotional interest in the outcome. What do the police gain here?
Im not saying I’d let my seven year old walk 2 blocks alone. But I’d probably consider it with a 10 year old if he was responsible. I used to ride my bike to and from elementary school that had to be 3 miles away when I was 10. I rode bikes around my neighborhood from 7-12. I walked home from middle school every day. That’s hardly a far cry from this. The parents of every latchkey kid posting here would have been toast.

Unrelated dispute from another thread I guess. Don't worry about it.
I mean, I wasn't going to lose sleep over it. Just curious if the dude would defend the position that watching Tuesday games for Texas wasn't a fucking drink-inducing affair for many of us.

In related news, Dickless Baloney would be a good nickname name for Mike Elko.-

Having watched the team all season, including and especially the regional, I strongly disagree.
Why's ole' rex negging you on this one? The team had a great year, but more than a handful of Tuesday losses, and many of their games were fucking nail-biters? Why wouldn't I have to drive through that?

Lol. You guys think Elon is trying to win people back, or doing an about face for his companies. He's literally bitching about a spending bill being too full of pork, which is a hardline R position. He's basically just parroting his DOGE position of "cut cut cut." He's not winning anyone back with that, he's just being the same tone-deaf consistent twat he's been for awhile.

We’re not going to win ‘em all.
But we’re going to make them all pay for ‘em.

Mr Carlton, help me out what does SP stand for?
Well, if you're a member of the Church of Scientology like Tom Cruise and @closetojumping, I believe that stands for Suppressive Personality.

UTSA trotted out a pitcher with a 7.85 ERA and we scored just one run against him in six innings. UTSA took the lead in the first inning and we never came close to threatening them despite it being a must-win game. We hit a miserable .198 with RISP during the entire regional. And in the first loss to UTSA we blew a 6-1 lead with multiple fielding errors by Flores and Gasparino, who both played horribly all weekend but never saw the bench. Three of UTSA's runs were unearned in a game they won by two.
This wasn't some heroic underdog story where we fell just short despite giving it our best. We basically invited UTSA to kick us out of the tournament and they obliged. We played horrendously in all three phases and lost a very winnable game. Spencer and Schuessler are gone next year, and we're probably losing Belyeu, Galvan and Borba to the draft. Next year's team is going to have its struggles.
Man, I hope you DVR'd the whole regional, and you really savored this experience. Because the way Texas Athletics is going, I'm not sure you're going to be able to manage an erection until next spring, at this rate. Hopefully this wildly disappointing season where we won the SEC title in our debut season with a new coach and a pretty Meh/Flawed roster, while losing our best SP and best offensive player for all/most of the year, respectively, will sustain you until more miserable times.

"Had a few hot dogs to hold me over before my non-victory 64oz slab of beef with a few pounds of fries soaked in pig fat". He's not going to run out of time on that feast. Possible coronary though. Bucky Beavis, is still fighting against a trucking park for name recognition outside of being some hillbilly that defines Beavis - Mike Judge be warned. Earley ... well I think the man may be slow. How hard is it to coach baseball? Do they even have to practice much? What a great season for Texas in all sports. Thanks CDC, etc. I'm not sure next year will top this one tbh.Let's not skip Elko - we were annihilated to having gone toe to toe (can he see show?), back and forth game they nearly won... yea. OK fatass.

11 minutes ago, Getafix said:Tarp loves his Aggies.
When they inevitably crater, he does a couple of things -
- he seems to derive some perverse satisfaction from describing A&M's ineptitude in all its gory detail. Essentially delight in twisting the knife.
- he goes into this mode of ascribing the failures to his subscribers. "You did xyz ..." "you gave Jimbo his contract ..." and so on. Pretty hilarious for us ... ahem, neutral 🙂 observers.
A couple of instances:
(think he means first to worst re: Michael Earley ... )
(Btw, the guy who referred to Sark as (a) "former drug addict", admitted in a subsequent post that that was a cheap shot, and called his "own foul". So there was that.)
And ...
Ouch ...
Tarp is a treasure. A lifetime of A&M fandom and all the misery that comes with it, has gifted him the rare Aggie trait of perception. And now that he has it, he views himself as superior to the rest of his brethren. And the only satisfaction he gets is twisting the knife while feeling superior, as if he’s above it all somehow. But he’s still the same addict.

Because there is a zero percent chance that there isn't a single kid worthy of an offer from Texas, and I like UT kids to be from Texas.
11 minutes ago, Helobious said:I’m in the same boat. It’s a lot more fun to follow when you see kids you recognize from their high school days vs mercenaries from anywhere USA. And then you had that large study a few years ago that showed most NFL draft picks went to college in their home state. For a lot of reasons you should focus on homegrown talent and just supplement with out of staters.
Bolero aligning himself with helobious. That’s a choice.

Funny. I had complete certainty that no one was going to step up on the UT side. Honestly I'm surprised that Clark Field Collective and some others also showed up. Sort of.
