I’m more surprised that so far 23% of respondents think Trump will die or become incapacitated within 8 months.

You're witnessing the effects of propoganda, right here. Much like in Russia, if Lobo just keeps repeating the same thing over and over again, people will believe it.

Not even we, here in the CR, are immune to the constant bombardment of pure propoganda.

You mean our secondary coaches suck at talent evaluation and coaching for a decade plus?

Every other facet of the team has improved with Sark. Why is it still the DB and not the coaching?

I do'nt think the guy was defending the coaches. Just making a statement.

I get why Sark can't fire his two DB coaches after year two. And I get why you don't rock the boat after year 3, considering the year we had. But I do think this is the last fide for Joseph and Gideon. But I'm just pulling shit out of my ass.

considering his penchant for banging porn stars I'd bet it's more likely than not that he has at least one illegitimate child

I mean, come on. Porn Stars probably have a pretty extensive understanding on birth control applications.

It's much more likely that an out of wedlock child came from some poor soul he raped. Like some illegal that worked on one of his estates.

    1) Thank you.
    2) Don't even try to start easter egging the whole "I'm too busy to post updates" line. I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING (and it better not be your day job).

Going to Jonathan's The Rub (I-10) tonight for a combo of my wife's bday and her parents' anniversary very early dinner. Very early because I'll have my 1 and 3 year olds in tow.

Is anything a must-get, or is it generic high end steakhouse fare?

I haven't been enough times to know what is a must get, but everything we've had has been good. I definitely wouldn't consider it high end steakhouse, because the menu is so fucking massive.

It's like if the Cheesecake Factory churned out high end cuisine.

I’ve added to my guilty pleasure of reading Sooner sites. I also listened to a couple of podcasts. This is what they claim, and I’m curious as to other opinions of their accuracy.
    1. They are frustrated with the modern state of the game. “It’s out of control. Something must be done”.
    2. NIL seems to be a problem for them. They say that OU can get the money, but Brent wants to build a program on “relationships”, rather than “transactions”.
    3. They say OU can get the money; it struggles in organizing the collectives and making the “ask”.
    4. They want the NCAA to step in and regulate this. They think NIL really should just be compensation for promotions, and not pay for play. They also allow that there are probably a couple of key players on each team that deserve significant high six figure pay (you figure that one out).

    5. They are bringing guys like Curtis Loftin and Mark Clayton in to work personnel staff “GM” and recruiting coordinator positions.

    My thoughts:

Are you kidding me? The NCAA? Do they really think that’s still a thing? Hell, they started the dumping of the NCAA in football, with UGA, in the ‘80s.

Then, I figured it out. They may never have been real supporters of the NCAA, but it filled a real function for them, for decades. The NCAA had rules, and their key rivals, UT and NU, followed them. This was a huge part of their success. If Texas had bid for players against Switzer, he would never have won a single MNC. But Texas didn’t, and OU could pay a key recruit $150k to sign, no $30k per year, and Boomer Sooner.

Now, Texas’ boosters are funding NIL, and OU is struggling to keep up. They want the NCAA to step in, and regulate Texas, so they can get back to the good old ways.

I'm sorry, did you just say that Nebraska followed the rules? Sure, this post is from late Februrary, but still...

    This is getting Andrew Tateish.

That's probably becuase the latest flurry of discussion stemmed from a link posted by the latest sock of GRUHorn, and was from an esteemed publication literally owned by the fucking Mormon Church. LITERALLY owned by the Mormon Church. I can't imagine a more neutral source to the topic of female empowerment and a woman's right to choose whether or not she wants to have children.

I don't understand how salary caps would even work. Who enforces it? The NCAA sends a letter to Lamborghini of Austin that they can't sign a guy up as a brand ambassador because he's already made too much money from his other sponsorships? The player is disqualified once his reported income from outside business deals hits a certain level?

Should the NFL be doing that with Mahomes's State Farm contract?

IMO Salary caps only work for what the school could pay...not the actual NIL deals.

Yes, the idea would be to eliminate collectives in some vein. Of course, our collective was designed specifically to work on the same model as typical NIL endorsement deals, so then how do they restrict us? Good luck.
