Dusty has to treat tonight like an actual WS game. If Javier gives up two runs, yank him. Our staff has to keep Phillies under 3 tonight, or 3 at absolute most. Can’t hope the starter figures it out, the entire point of the Astros this year is absurd pitching depth
Pierce and Pitre both look awesome. If Sting and Green can get close to meeting expectations it could be a really good 2022 draft class. Definitely an awkward year - either want to completely bust and pick up Stroud or Young or show meaningful progress. The worst would be 5-6 wins. Enough to be out of the QB race but not enough to feel good.
Feels like this has happened every game with the Yankees. We start out hot and try and hold on through the middle and late innings. Bats go silent after the 3rd or 4th
Yeh Gus walked 10-15 feet to end up in that spot. It wasn’t like Lalo was holding Gus at gunpoint on his knees right on top of the power cord. It’s obviously a stretch, and you knew what was going to happen once they got down there which is kind of annoying, but it’s not that ridiculous. Gus letting Saul and Kim go on with their lives is the part that has me a little confused.
Pretty sure she mentioned something later in the episode once Mike got her that Saul got her out of the apartment or something to save her. Instead of running or going to police like Saul wanted her to, she tried to go through with it to save Saul.
Wild how the Astros keep prolonging our window. It’s hard for me to see the big drop off. You’d think we are spending like the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox or Mets. We spend fine, but not in their league. If you told me three years that fuckin Frambler, Luis Garcia and Javier would be mowing down the MLB and that Correa would get dropped with minimal/no drop off, I wouldn’t believe it. Poor Urquidy is a fine MLB pitcher but he’s about to get rolled for Odo
In other news, Nadal Djokovic is going to last eight hours. Nadal was rolling over him (up a set and 3-0 double break) and then Djokovic figured it out and Nadal came back to earth. One set a piece now and Nadal up a break in the 3rd. Every game is pretty much a battle.
