  1. he doesn’t want to be there. A bit of a mystery to me....Wolves under him were relentless. I feared that team when we played them, and not just bc of Tryori roids. EPL version of all gas no brakes. their whole approach with nuno was to clog the midfield and back and punt balls for traore to chase on the counter. spurs long-standing inability to break down those types of teams doesn’t mean they’re relentless.
  2. oh no doubt. the only reason he ever played for spurs was because levy wasnt active enough in the transfer market to replace dembele and wanyama when they started declining. i just felt like he was implying there is now a team divide and nuno leaving the entire PL starting XI home is further perpetuating that, leading to lack of motivation for some.
  3. dele is lazy AND being asked to do things he's not good at doing, like dropping deep and distributing the ball. bad combo. then when he's put in a better position tactically, like he was yesterday, he's still lazy and has got guys like winks trying to boss the midfield instead of dembele and wanyama. bad combo. it also doesn't help that nuno is kind of a shit manager and creating divides in the squad between the first and second team players by some of his decisions, as winks hinted at during his post-match interview yesterday.
  4. 3 years ago dele decided he was more interested in being a fashion designer than a footballer.
  5. winks used to be good?
  6. life comes at you fast. perhaps they can climb back up to 10th at some point this season.
  7. he needs to use the konami code.
  8. the same thing we've done for the past 7 seasons.
  9. aurier also likely on his way out, which probably factors in more here than doherty being shit. tanganga has been first choice over both so far this season.
  10. fify. agreed something isn't right. just after he was signed poch said he'd need up to two years to adjust to the EPL and start reaching his potential. levy isn't going to let him go this season on what amounts to a free and there is no other club that will be willing to take on 100% of his current wages. given that he's shown flashes and is only 24 i don't have an issue with then giving him one more chance to see what he can do. if anything he'll provide skilled depth (at least on paper).
  11. no. you go get jack wilshere before it’s too late.
  12. i'm more interested in what charlie kane clemmie moodie had to say.
  13. so very spursy. one of our own indeed.
  14. nothing. that's the point. who's going to retroactively enforce any sort of punishment? the NCAA? the feds? lulz. the athletic department and compliance office should have already figured out how to take advantage in the short-term while planning for the long-term. to use a different example, this is like a CBD shop in austin being afraid to sell delta-8 in february because they were worried it would be made illegal in the session in may.
  15. this reminds me of the time a fortune 50 IT Director argued against implementing google analytics as a short-term, additional data point to try and help them understand why they were hemorrhaging revenue at the bottom of the funnel because "it's free until it isn't." 8 years and untold amounts of lost revenue later they're still fucking around implementing their long-term martech stack vision while continuing to lose market share to smaller, more agile competitors.
  16. how reading this thread feels.
