for a guy with 12 broken ribs and 2 collapsed lungs that caused him to take 20 minutes to walk 100 feet up the tunnel he sure talked a lot after the game.

He played that shit up for the cameras. Needed that sympathy since he shit all over the bed last night. He hit a deep pass late in the game, he was fine. Just picked the wrong time to have a terrible game. Michigan was begging Washington to take over that game all 2nd half but Washington offense said nah. In between the 2TD runs to start the game and the later part of the game, Washington defense did everything they could to keep them in the game.

He would have really benefited from Ewers throwing a TD on that last drive. The narrative would have been how he had an incredible game and his coach and defense squandered it and who knows what would have happened against Michigan. Instead, we know he'd play like shit and act like a little bitch.

I am a homer, but JJ is the opposite of douchey. He is super humble, all about giving success to everyone else and crediting his team.

I'd hope so. I haven't watched Michigan this year. If last night is any indication, you could swap him out for any decent QB and the result would have been similar, if not better. They don't ask much of JJ and he didn't deliver much. Better QB play and the game would have been over at halftime.

When they miscommunicated on that first blown coverage, I was like, they got average penix instead of god mode penix.

That was so frustrating after last week. Michigan's defense deserves a ton of credit, but Washington's offense were willing accomplices. Michigan did a great job pressuring Penix, but he was off before they were consistently getting to him. It was still early when Penix missed Odunze on what should have been an easy throw. There were 5 or 6 times in the broadcast where a receiver was wide open and Penix just made the wrong read. The Washington receivers had a bad game too. Part of that was the defense, but they had some wide open drops.

    A few observations:

    - Aggies are at 62, which is one spot higher than Clemson which has lost 10 players to the portal and has zero commits.

    - There are 3 teams ranked higher than A&M that have zero transfers coming in and 7+ transfers going out.

    - A&M has the highest outgoing average performance rating of the top 65 teams.

    - The average rating of the incoming commits is #33 of 65 teams.

    - ON3 is saying that A&M has lost more talent/performance than they've brought in.

ON3 describes their ranking as "On3's Team Transfer Portal Index utilizes the On3 (P)erformance score to measure a team’s production during the transfer process, compared relative against its roster and not a comparison against other schools. This proprietary algorithm determines if a school has improved its overall team talent, stayed the same, or declined in talent during the transfer window."

Texas is #23, average incoming rating is 91 (3) and average outgoing is 70 (14). Texas also has the highest average for incoming players.

Gotta question this guy’s life choices. African American from Ohio that went first to Madison, Wisconsin and now to College Station. He’d better rub Sully’s toe for luck.

I agree on the life choices, but not because of Madison. It's a great town that's much more like Austin than College Station.

ou first big game of the season was the RRS.. they were game planning for that game all off season then into fall camp. They didn't have a big game prior to October to be planning for..just us.

They have Tennessee and Auburn before us next year. Not exactly a gauntlet, but enough to keep them honest. At least more than Tulsa and Cincy. I'm looking forward to not being everyone's biggest game in the SEC. Texas will always be a priority for OU, but I doubt MSU and Kentucky are planning their seasons around Texas the way Tech, Baylor, and TCU have.

Caldwell is more or a run-plugger at DT, right? That would definitely help since Collins, Broughton, and Bledsoe all seem more like penetrating gap shooters there. If Mitchell is ready to play and Bryant can take a leap, they should also give us reps that can eat blocks in the middle.

This year, PFF graded Murphy 7 or 8 points higher against the run than as a pass rusher and Sweat was 10 or so points higher as a pass rusher than against the run. Though both were elite in both facets. Caldwell and Collins have a similar profile - Caldwell is slightly better against the run and Collins is slightly better as a pass rusher. I don't know what happened with Bryant this year - he seemed to regress a bit.

On O at this point in time, QB, OL, RB will be better. WR and TE will be worse (depending on AD). We should be a better running team but I'm not sure Sark will take advantage of that.

On D at this point, DL will be weaker, DE will be stronger, DB will be stronger, LB will be about the same. We should be better against the pass and worse against the run.

If we get Caldwell and he and Collins both continue improving, there shouldn't be that much drop off on the DL. It may not be the best in the country, but it should still be really good. I agree on WR and TE, but an improved Ewers and OL should offset that. Basically, I think both sides of the ball should be the same or better even if individual units aren't as strong.

Ridiculously outrageous salary aside, his side of the ball is a big reason Missouri had a great year.  He's been there 2 years - big improvement since 2021.
    Below is 2021-2022-2023.

Miami has been an absolute mess since Larry Coker got bounced and I think we've seen enough of Diaz over the years to understand how that may not have been the most stable coaching room/staff.  Manny also hired him twice - at LaTech and Miami.  Big Texas connections - Beau Baker's brother, GA at Texas, went to Arkansas State w/ Harsin, La Tech and Miami w/ Diaz. Even in LSU's worst recent season in 2021, the top 2 tacklers on the team, by a WIDE margin, were LB.  I'm inclined to believe he's a solid upgrade from House until proven otherwise.

I don't know anything about Baker, but Mizzou had talent and experience this year that probably made his job easier. They have 3 or 4 guys on defense who could get drafted and a few more on offense. I assume they will revert to their mean after this season. Baker will have talent at LSU though so who knows. He seems like a decent coach, but that's a crazy salary.

That would be a dream come true. Imagine pitching recruits on living in airports to play Rutgers on a frozen tundra.

Gotta keep that Jersey pipeline going. That opens up Delaware, Connecticut, New Hampshire, etc. They could dominate more than 10% of US states (that they probably couldn't identify on a map).

Most excited for this guy and Colin Simmons to hit the roster.  Seems like this guy is SEVERELY underrated.

I'm most excited for 3 years of announcers letting us know that Simmons and January were highschool teammates every time one of them makes a play.
