  1. Yep I'm definitely the one acting unstable here.
  2. I don't run into this much in my life. In fact I never do. It's not something top of mind. I wonder why you feel like you need to be so defensive about racism all the time.
  3. Look at that fat bastard #3. The fact that we lost to a team where that guy gets real minutes should eliminate all questions of whether or not we should fire our coach.
  4. UCLA going full Texas and dribbling the air out of the ball.
  5. Not sure I've ever rooted for destruction of a non-OU or aggy basketball team as hard as I'm rooting for ACU destruction. They annoy me and I don't want any excuses to keep Shaka around another year. I don't want to find out if CDC will try to use ACU beating UCLA or coming close as an excuse. Just destroy them please UCLA.
  6. Your post said "Wright shouldn't be on anyone's list". Wright should be on everyone's list. Not my fault you made your point poorly.
  7. Admittedly I'm not super familiar with any off his off-court stuff. But the guy can coach.
  8. Not saying the guy is coming here, just confused about the notion that the coach who has won two of the last four NCAA basketball championships is below our standard. He might be the best active coach in the sport. It'd be an absolute home run of a hire.
  9. Is there another Wright that you're talking about?
  10. I'm going to write the NCAA a sternly worded letter. Friday through Monday sucks ass and the timing of the games sucks ass. Today is anticlimactic and lame. After a weekend of 48 games back to back to back, the entirety of today has been watching Oregon destroy Iowa and Gonzaga destroy Oklahoma. That's all that's happened since 11am tipoff. They killed Thursday March Madness for this terrible shit.
  11. This is probably fair. I don't think Biden personally prefers to legalize it. But I do believe the majority of the party probably does.
  12. Here's another one that 52-80 could have found if he had spared five seconds to google the issue he's supposedly super interested in asking questions about instead of writing multi-paragraph diatribes defending the honor of a mass murderer. A recent study from the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino, found that while overall rates of hate crimes in the country decreased by 7% in 2020, anti-Asian hate crimes surged by 149%. https://time.com/5947603/how-to-help-fight-anti-asian-violence/
  13. You could have googled the AAPI report in about 1/10th the time it took you to write that post if you were truly interested in learning. But of course we all know that's not why you're here.
  14. Same. My first professional job, a new Mormon VP came in and staffed the entire function with Mormons. I was the only non-Mormon in his whole span of control. They were all cool, nice, and great to work with. But there's a lot of shit under the surface that you don't want to get involved in, especally if you're anything other than a tall, pretty Aryan looking white dude like I am. I heard some shit. Superficially I like Mormons though I know that they don't like a hell of a lot of people as much as those people think they like them. There's a lot of fake nicety facades hiding lots of judginess, sorta like Minnesotans. Professionally, still to this day the he was the best boss I've had, and I'm my own boss now.
  15. Look a 31 post poster all over the DT and CR and the Eyes of Texas thread. This is certainly a totally cool and totally legit poster and not a sock.
  16. I'll bet someone $5 that GR is going to come back and divert the conversation based on some other post like 6th Street's rather than acknowledge the fact that several posters have now shown him that this isn't just an open spigot of immigration, that they all have court dates and 99% of them will show up.
  17. I like how 52-80 asked for proof that anti-Asian racism was on the rise, Brisket posted an article with very clear data showing that it was, and 52-80 responded by asking for proof that anti-Asian racism was on the rise. That's some big brain shit.
  18. I think most parents are not going to bring their kids to a Knicks game for fear of CPS getting involved.
  19. They aren't being allowed across without documentation or repercussion. This is a dishonest representation of it. The vast, vast majority of these people will show up for their asylum hearings. These people are not like your compatriots who stormed Washington then tried to hide from the police. https://www.vox.com/2020/1/10/21059924/trump-asylum-seekers-show-up-court-hearing
  20. Based on my experience with rural Ohio, if any of them tried to participate in storming Washington DC, they'd end up buying their plane tickets and wondering why they landed in Seattle.
  21. I wonder why they have such an instinctual and instant reflex to put up the "it's not racist!!" shields. #JustAskingQuestions.
  22. Yep. If I were given three guesses to get as many of the rioters as possible by geography Family Feud style, I'd have guessed DFW, Suburban/Exurban Georgia, and not even bothered with a third guess.
  23. It's not. It's way too early to tell what really caused the attacks. We might never actually know. If you are trying to ascribe certainty to one side or the other of an "is he racist" debate this early in the game with very limited facts, you have an agenda. I don't recall anyone on this thread saying it was definitely race-based, but I see a bunch of people who are very very sensitive about people being called racists who are foolishly assuming it wasn't race-driven and saying it definitely had nothing to do with it. It's not hard to figure out why there's a certain group of posters who are really sensitive about people being called racist and run to defend their honor at every opportunity, even if it means defending a person who just murdered a ton of people.
