Hell yeah! Russian River is the best! Jealous over here.
However, this is helping ease the pain right about now....- 2

My pleasure. Also if over by Faction and want to eat before or after, Drake’s Dealership is a cool half tap-room/half tap-yard restaurant. Actually going later when dark would be cooler:
Also the Fieldwork taproom in Berkeley is cool (pic in a post i had from a day or so ago above).
My favorite bar in SF is the Toronado. However, AUTF on here is the expert so if he sees this he may have more suggestions.
Also, if up by Russian River/Santa Rosa way and you’re wanting to hit more breweries, I went to both Lagunitas’ brewery/taproom and Bear Republic’s taproom a few years ago on a trip to the area. Nothing exotic about those though. Russian River should be the main stop (and last stop?) of that night: -
In the bay area for a week. Going to Russian River later today. Any other must haves?
If you’re looking for a cool brewery scene, check out Faction across the bay at sunset. Stunning views of downtown SF on an old Navy base. Good beers to boot.

So you’re saying we can do they do but they can’t do what we do.

But we can all agree that no “Nose in the News” is something worth waking up for.

Tarrant County: where life is cheap.

FYI: picked up at Costco Dallas this afternoon (along with a Wagyu brisket to smoke at some point soon). $27 for 24 quality beers (and bottled June 6th) ain’t too bad.
I always look forward to trying the latest Luponic Distortion installment. Makes a good post-mowing beer too.- 1

Anyone have thoughts on what to expect from the line at Heim in Fort Worth on a Sunday around noon?

I am the Monterey loacation right now
Jealous. Of course, were I in Monterey, I would also walk the quick walk from there to Alvarado Street Brewing to drink their beers and purchase their seemingly every week new multiple can releases...

I love Fieldwork beers as well as their taproom in Berkley and tap yard in Monterey (though less so when it’s raining).
You gotta love a place that doesn’t wuss out in the number of beers you can get in a flight. -
Damn I hate when the Musers go on vacation. Did anyone hear them say when they’re back and/or who is filling in for them?
-
I reiterate my position that, other than segments making fun of songs (such as HL’s bro country segments) or those where they are doing commentary on the weekly shows coming up (concert calendar/biggest show), almost all “let me play you some songs from my iPod” segments are a waste of time (& a better segment they could have done in its place). The fact that they may occasionally hit on an artist or style that I might like doesn’t really change that. Also, that applies to 100% of Red Dirt Georgie’s “let me play you some music” segments these days.

Well I like to stay on 69 for a while.

Was in Austin this weekend and decided to check out the fairly new Family Business Beer Company in Dripping Springs this morning. The beers I had were decent though none really stood out.
Their setup seems very similar to Vista Brewing that I checked out last visit down there. Both, out in the country ala Jester King, seem to have a good amount of investment in their tap rooms and grounds with a lot of outdoor seating and kids playgrounds. We happened to get their right when they opened at 11:00 and I was surprised at how many people likewise showed up right when they opened and almost all of the groups had multiple kids with them.
From there it was just a quick 10 minute drive to Jester King. Showed up right before the opened at noon and am always a little surprised when that has happened and I can get a shot like this with absolutely no one in the shot.
Grabbed a a nice spot in the shade with a nice breeze to boot and had the MvB Blend 5 plus the just released Aurastone. Great as always.
Finally stuck around for some Stanley’s pizza before heading home. That has become a favorite tradition of any Austin trip and is a nice relaxing way to waste away the last hour or so of the trip. Also, further to my earlier observation, there always seems to be tons of families with kids (and seemingly always with birthdays being celebrated) whenever we’ve done the Sunday noon visit.

My wife happened to be leaving Houston and passing through Spring right before Corkscrew opened up so I had her bring home dinner. Even heated up 7 hours later for dinner it was all delicious.
She sent me some pics of the operation. One of them that caught my eye is the numbers they give to the first arriving people (I believe through around 26?) so that you can go wait off in the shade or your car without having to stand around. By the time she left the line was apparently around the building out to the parking lot.

Is The Fan still mainly former Ticket folks? Also, while on the subject is there still an ESPN station? I’ll at least give The Fan credit for being (in some way) visible/on the radar.

Question: how do you definitively declare to the world that you’re an incel and always will be?
Answer: -
Yes and it was really good.

For those of you hopheads in the DFW area, definitely be on the lookout for/visit Turning Point Beer in Bedford. Great beers (IPA heavy in particular) in a strip mall that you would definitely just drive right past if you didn’t know to stop there. Was really impressed with 10 of the 12 beers we tried samplers of and bought 4 four packs of their canned beers (which I believe happens every week) to take home.

I’m here for the dog pile.
-
I love Alvarado Street IPAs. That is all.
-
Here’s a tip: don’t listen to the show.
Doesn’t this also happen during the Olympics and anytime there is an event over seas? That seems like a strange expectation to think an all sports station wouldn’t give updates as to a big sporting event.

Great, so now we’re “pegging” in this thread. Guess that is appropriate.
