  1. agree... I guess you missed the multiple unnecessary sentence intro phrasing
  2. At the end of the day, when all is said and done, I suppose you are right
  3. Along those same lines is using "honest" the intro to a sentence: "will you honestly say that..." Purposely or not, the implication is that they are not honest at other times or most of the time.
  4. agree... as a baseline, all linemen need a redshirt. Connor Williams could have used a redshirt year. A HUGE benefit is that the whole 2018 OL class redsirted. It should be that way every year for linemen
  5. CU was in economic dire straits when they left the conference; something they thought the PAC would alleviate but that hasnt materialized. CSU is in worse
  6. agree... it's not only a pride issue... but academic prestige and potential research revenue dwarfs athletics revenue; something they would still struggle with in the Big12 (or at least they thought they would struggle with) Had they lost their AAU status before joining the B10, would the other schools have voted them in? unlikely; esp the B10 schools that voted against them keeping their AAU status
  7. They were hacked a while back and, supposedly, it was not as bad as it could have been but I dropped it at that point. I keep my passwords on a spread sheet now. The good thing about LastPass was that I had access to my most used passwords on all my devices through the site. Now I have an encrypted partition or SD card that has my spreadsheet.
  8. I would LOVE to pay off one of my nieces or nephews to get one of my brother's account info. Changing it to spanish, german or korean would be hilarious. Now you've got my mind turning trying to figure out how I can pull something like this off for fun. hahaha
  9. gotcha. yeah, no way right now on the verge of a long awaited payoff... but they wouldnt do it anyway, even for equal money, IMO.
  10. Yea but no, as mentioned login on the DVD player only. That doesnt matter. If you gave me your netflix username and password, I could watch it on my computer, ROKU, Firebox, etc
  11. so... now it's KSU's fault? ok hahaha
  12. or... ask the wife if she happened to give the username and password to a neighbor or relative. Someone may just be messin' with ya
  13. Good post 0xdeadbeef I'm back to being hooked phishing... or getting drunk and sharing your account with spanish guy at a gay bar. - If Netflix was hacked, it would get out and we would know about it. I remember when LastPass was hacked and it was a big deal. I wiped out everything I had in LastPass and havent used it since. LastPass came out and said they were in fact hacked but the hacker didnt get past the firewalls to the account passwords. - Malware: possible but unlikely. What would be the point? so someone can change the netflix account to spanish? unlikely. And, as you said, even more so from a DVD player. Malware attacks are generally after money: accounts, ransom, advertising, etc - fake websites are often the tool used in phishing expositions and some look identical as the real sites if you dont pay attention.
  14. I dont think there is ANY WAY the nebbie board of regents would approve a move out of the Big10 - aint happenin'
  15. A lot had already happened that led to that announcement
  16. no. ly'in delany announced that they were going to "study" options for expansion for at least 18 months around Aug/Sep '09. Soon after, around Oct & Nov, Misery lifted its skirt and publicly slutted itself for an invite. Nebbie was first turned down by the Big10 around 1914 and there was no way Tommyboy and pinhead Perlman were going to allow Misery to take that expansion slot without making a concerted effort. Perlman said later at a luncheon that he first met with Delany and talked about getting an invite in Dec '09 at a conference. This leaked out and Dr Oz said from the podium that there was nothing to it but it was being talked about. Texas, Okiehoma and all the other schools started exploring their options in the spring of 2010, including checking with the Big10, ACC and meeting with the PAC because most people thought the Big12 would collapse with any major defections.
  17. Good post NoName. yes. anything of any value should have at least 12 alphanumeric/special character passwords. different, but with the same endstate, my hard drives have minimum 25 alphanumeric/special character passwords for encrypted hard drives. If websites dont have automatic lockout after a few tries (and I have no idea if netflix does), then they are highly subject to blast hacking... but that may be obsolete nowadays, or at least I hope so. two factor authentication (secondary pass code) is helpful for any changes to the account InsideTexas was hacked by a fake russian a few years ago but I think he got administrative access through email phishing and the person used the same password for several things; I could be wrong about that.
  18. y'all are going to say this is "inconvenient" but it's really not; it's just an extra step and more of a habit now. But, why not use a wireless keyboard & mouse while using the laptop at home and/or at the office? Besides the obvious, it keeps me from hovering over the keyboard and spilling stuff on it. I do it mainly because I cant stand typing on attached keyboards. I also put something like an old clear document protector over the laptop keyboard to keep dust and stuff out of it.
  19. That does seem silly and unnecessary. But then again, I'm not a boy scout guy so I probably dont get it. I lasted all of two weeks and got kicked out for fighting at the old church near Buda elementary
  20. yeah, this is what I noticed going over to people's houses for get-together-s. I was talking to a young mother (early thirties) about this on sunday at a get-together. Her biggest challenge is not tv right now, it's to get the boys to stay outside LOL
  21. IPVanish. I like it a lot. easy. reliable. I can pick the area/cities or ip I want it to default to the server and secondary location. A little slowdown in download speed but not much and certainly not enough to interrupt anything I do. When I originally signed up with IPVanish, it was $5/mnth. Maybe a year ago, they had a special where the cost per year equated to $4/month and I can keep that price for life as long as I stay current. I dont know if the special is on but, if not, I assume it will be at some point
  22. yep. Relationships, relationships, relationships. It's like none of you learned anything from Higdon! haha
  23. I guess you have to go get the monster at some point - right? Have you read the old book, Ransom of Red Chief? Some crooks kidnapped a kid and held him for ransom. In the end, the crooks ended up paying the parents to come get the kid. Good book
