  1. Texas files the suit and then is joined by: Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah and West Virginia. It’s like looking at a states’ version of a basket of deplorables. Great company to keep there, Texas. Not even fucking Idaho joined in.
  2. Let... the rivers run!!!
  3. Well, it seems she may surprise a few people: https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2020-11-30/supreme-court-casts-doubt-on-trumps-bid-to-exclude-from-census-immigrants-in-u-s-illegally But none of the justices sounded prepared to endorse Trump’s policy, and two of Trump’s appointees — Justices Brett M. Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett — told an administration lawyer they doubted the legality of excluding millions of long-time residents from the census count. Barrett said that the Constitution’s wording and original history called for counting all residents, and that that has been the unbroken practice for more than two centuries. Additionally the 14th Amendment says political power will be divided among the states after counting “the whole number of persons in each state.” ADVERTISEMENT Barrett said the law has defined “persons” as those who reside in the state, not just citizens or voters. “If an undocumented person has been in the country for 20 years, even if illegally, why wouldn’t that person have a settled residence here?” Barrett told acting Solicitor Gen. Jeffrey Wall. “And you concede that illegal aliens have never been excluded as a category from the census,” she added.
  4. Wait, wasn’t this “kraken day”? Did I miss it?!? Or was the meeting in the Executive Board Room of the Gettysburg Super 8 the “kraken”?
  5. That’s exactly why Parler is suppressing it: they know that their users are idiots.
  6. Agreed. While having flashes of complete stupidity before that, the “Four Seasons” press conference (as Biden was being declared the President-Elect) truly crystallized the level of incompetence that was going to do battle in court. Not even Briscoe Cain could save the day...
  7. Ha ha, as Biden is getting sworn in on January 20th, they’ll still be typing “it’s all part of the plan”, “we got them right where we want them” etc etc...
  8. That sound you hear is Parler imploding. (maybe Texags too)
  9. I’m pretty sure Chanel Rion lost to Sasha Velour in Season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
  10. I’m assuming there’s a no-take-backsies rule for something like this? (Note, I am using the same legal jargon I would expect of the Trump legal team)
  11. This is by far the most entertaining part of the simulation. Like when the computer in War Games couldn’t win Tic Tac Toe. But instead of a computer it’s a bunch of morons.
  12. Oh dear, Donald will not like this: http://www.loser.com
  13. I’m waiting for the challenge to the California vote. Trump is only behind by (checks notes) 4.5 million votes.
  14. My theory is that it won’t last. Trumpkins (especially the ones in office) THRIVE on getting their tweets/posts/etc publicized by “main stream media”. Witness the conniption fit Trump had when media wouldn’t pick up the Hunter Biden bullshit. The echo chamber will consume its own oxygen, and then what? They will come back to Twitter, Facebook, etc because they want to be noticed, and proselytize to the “non-believers”. One thing is clear: The morphing into a cult is definitely accelerating.
  15. For a group of people who yammer on about “snowflakes” and “fuck your feelings” they sure do like their safe spaces.
  16. Speaking of still counting, apparently California by itself, with just 2/3 of the vote counted, accounts for Biden’s national 4 million popular vote lead over Trump. I cannot overstate just how much he is loathed by most people here, and that’s why it’s shocking to see how close this election was for those of us out West.
  17. So how worried should I be about Russian fuckery with results? It’s what I woke up thinking about, but don’t know if we’ve “dealt with it” or just really really hope it doesn’t happen (and if it happened, how would we know?) OK, it’s 6:14 am here, time to start drinking.
  18. I guess I’ve seen these freeway blocking moves too many times living here in SoCal to make the jump from”annoying assholes” to “brown shirts”. In the last year here in LA the following groups have spontaneously shut down freeways: Armenians, BLM, motorcycle gangs, dumbshits doing burnouts in their Fast and the Furious wannabe Honda Civics, etc etc etc. it’s fucking annoying and aside from getting attention, doesn’t help “the cause”, whatever the cause may be.
  19. Making people get stuck in needless traffic jams and pissing them off definitely seems like a winning election strategy to me.
  20. I’m pretty sure this is Melissa McCarthy doing Sean Spicer on SNL.
  21. Trumpkins will believe what Fox News tells them to believe.
  22. You know what GOPers like more than Trump? Money. And high stock prices. Do you know what the markets don’t like? Uncertainty and anything even approaching “civil war”. The powers that be behind the Trump movement (Murdoch, Kochs, Adelson, etc etc etc) will not like seeing what happens to their portfolios if Trump tries to stay in power. For better or worse, self-interest will drive a peaceful transition at the end of the day, in my very humble opinion.
