  1. Someone needs to do a $ per win analysis on these salaries.
  2. If Baylor lost then OU would be playing in the B12 championship game next week, so…… nah.
  3. Not that it matters but last I checked San Diego State is at 22 on the AP poll, so….. yay?
  4. I usually love OT but this is a beating to watch.
  5. Wait, I still have the Giants in 6.
  6. In a best of 5? That’s quite the prediction…
  7. Am I the only one enjoying RG3’s commentary? Haven’t heard him call a game, and he’s been pretty evenhanded considering his obvious allegiance.
  8. The Gray Davis recall in 2003 was precipitated by two things: 1) the blackouts and Enron situation, and 2) raising vehicle registration fees by 3x or something like that. It succeeded because Schwarzenegger ran as a very moderate Republican (that type of person cannot exist in today’s GQP).
  9. West Virginia has been even farther away from the rest of the B12 schools. Where else would UCF go? ACC? SEC? UCF is a better market with better on field performance than Memphis or Colorado St.
  10. Assuming UCF, Cincy and Houston go to the Big 12, who is up next for the AAC? I’m assuming they’ll pull from CUSA, MAC or something like that. Army? Coastal Carolina? UTEP?
  11. I’m going to take UCLA and the points over Bye.
  12. It’s Eastbound 210, going away from the Rose Bowl
  13. The hilarious part of this is that the PAC 12 has 43 OOC games scheduled with the SEC through 2022-2033, by far the most they have with any conference. The PAC and B1G only have 25 games scheduled with each other through the same period. And the PAC/ACC (excluding Norte Dame)? 6 whole games. So maybe the PAC and SEC are already in some sort of super-secret scheduling alliance?
  14. The Pac 12 is not dissolving and the B1G is not expanding. Yes, the Pac is held back by the Pacific time zone, but that’s also what gives it value to the networks. 7pm (10/9 central) games may suck for some other time zones but that is still a lot of (or at least enough) eyeballs watching live sports, which the networks want in this era of streaming and binge watching. Besides, you think Oregon, USC and UCLA are going to send women’s water polo teams to Indiana to play Purdue? The B1G and PAC’s media deals both end in 2024. They have been partners forever (Rose Bowl, etc). A scheduling agreement seems like a much more likely outcome than the B1G poaching a few PAC teams. I think adding Tech and OSU would be good for the PAC, and then you have both the PAC and B1G at 14 teams, making a potential scheduling agreement that much easier.
  15. Wait, so have the governor and senators from California sent out snarky tweets about Republicans’ inability to manage an electric grid while millions of people are suffering without power? Isn’t that what politicians from other states are supposed to do in times of crisis?
  16. Interesting. Same defense my 4 year old uses after we take away his iPad if he doesn’t do what we tell him.
  17. I’m not sure I’m on the right board if Oklahoma and Arkansas aren’t #1 and #2 for dumping the MAGA idiots in, building a wall, and throwing away the key. Also College Station.
  18. Agreed. The Twitter ban has defanged Trump in a way the Congresspeople are only starting to wake up to.
