Tesla net income for 1Q down 55% so their stock should go up big time tomorrow

Its trending that way after hours. But Elon is in spin mode with "new cheaper cars coming, robotaxi coming" etc. I give it a week and the fall in share price will resume once everyone realizes he's full of shit like always.

In Texas, ex-oil and gas workers champion geothermal energy as a replacement for fossil-fueled power plants (click2houston.com)

    Interesting.

    Can't comment on the economics.

    But interesting nonetheless.

Do places like Bozeman, Montana which happens to have a lot geothermal activity have any geothermal electrical generation?

seems to be mostly in Cali and Nev

The problem with how stupid these people actually are is that I have no idea how to tell what posts like this are real vs fake. The dumber they are, the more believable they are.

Its impossible to tell. "the 100% fake" inclination only works until you consider how galactically fucking stupid these cunts like Boobert, Gaetz, MTG, Santos, etc... are. Their dumbassery has rendered satire pointless.

Every time there's a story of him running out of cash it's not surprising, the best part is what happens next.  You move to the anticipation of what the next grift will be, we've gotten sneakers, bibles, 5% cuts from down ballot folks, what's next?

Getting another ~$1.3B+ today. That seems like a well run venture over there. I'd recommend he figure out how to dump that shit today.

  5. Quote

To put his supremacy into context, the world ranking points gap between Scheffler (629.6) and his closest chaser Rory McIlroy (344.4) is wider than that of the Northern Irishman to world No.784 Woods (4.64), who has made just five competitive appearances since the start of 2023.

I guess this cushion should hold if Scottie wants to take a few weeks off for the delivery.

I've honestly never understood the mindset evidenced by this post. He was the backup here, and was hurt for long stretches, both of which combine to make it obvious that he's still going to be very raw. But he wasn't our starter, so he wasn't forced down our throats. And when he did get thrust into the fire, he played his tail off and we won, with obvious things that would be a problem were he a long-term starter, which were discussed here ad nauseum. But guess what? once Quinn was healthy, then Maalik didn't play anymore. So in some regards, the coaches agreed with you. And then, he got passed up by Arch on the depth chart. So again, the coaches agreed with you. Now he's getting his shot at Duke. And if he sucks, you know what will happen? He won't play.

Kid hasn't been handed a single thing as a D1 football player, and by all accounts is an exceptional teammate and an exceptional human. I don't understand what makes you post something like "I thought he was awful." To be clear, I'm asking why you would POST that; I don't begrudge you THINKING it. Maybe he is awful, but what does your post add to this conversation, at this point?  If he were our starter, and we were discussing his deficiencies and how they're holding us back, then your post is spot-on. Lord knows this place can do QB controversy with the best in the world. But that's not this thread. This thread is wishing a solid kid good luck, who has arguably been placed perfectly on the depth chart his entire time here. So why throw rocks? It's just not additive in any way, and it feels like you just want something to be mad about. Maybe start with our interior DL, instead of the kid that kept our name in the national championship conversation last year?

That post wouldnt even rank in the bottom 1000 of this board. You might be more comfortable on hornfans.com.

Uuuu with an acq that tanked it today

Yeah, I'm fucking done with this one. The entire point of holding UUUU was to profit off a rise in the price of uranium. Lets check in on the various uranium stocks I have bookmarked.

Those guys just love leaving the door open for Scottie.

He’s just walking up to, and past, the rest of them while they wave and smile, all content to be allowed to exist in Scotties world.

    Tomorrow looks to be fun.

He's on one hell of a heater right now.

I have read and heard a lot of bullshit in my life. I've met a lot of people from a lot of different walks of life. One of them was even born and raised in Reno.

What I've never heard or read, from anyone, be it fiction or real life, is a dream "to live in Reno".

Never. Not even close. Hell, I've never met anyone who wanted to move to Reno, not even the guy who grew up there and left it. I'm sure there are people who want to move to Reno, for reason i don't care to know, but they've never crossed my circle.

Reno proper, probably not. But let me live in Incline Village and commute the 35 miles, and I could see it. Tahoe area is awesome year round.

I don't know that I've ever seen an NBA draft as messy and unpredictable as this one. I suppose there will be a little more clarity once the lottery goes down, but probably not much.

Iin the meantime here is a consensus draft that takes input from the Athletic, ESPN, The Ringer, Tankathon, Yahoo, and a bunch more of them.

    image.thumb.png.aced9e56cc74c702ed686d3b479181ea.png

I do think it's most likely that Sarr ends up number 1. I think that scouts will look at all the other guys and say fuck it, let's default to drafting the biggest most athletic dude with the highest upside. But who knows? Each guy has some serious flaws, including Sarr.

    • Risacher was thought to be maybe the safest prospect who at worst case would be a serviceable three and D guy, but his shooting has gone into the toilet over the past several weeks. And people are wondering which part of his season is the aberration.
    • Topic got hurt just when his team stepped up in class and has been slow to recover from something that was perceived to be minor. Another guy with suspect outside shooting. You also wonder if he can guard anybody.
    • Dillingham is undersized and a poor defender.
    • Clingan is not really built for the modern game.
    • Sheppard is undersized and white athletically limited.
    • Buzelis can't shoot.
    • Castle can't shoot, either.
    • Cody Williams was injured, often invisible, and has a sketchy 3 point shooting projection.
    • Ron Holland is yet another guy who can't shoot.

One guy who I kinda have my eye on is Jared McCain from Duke. He's one of the better shooters in the draft, a surprisingly decent rebounder for his size, and probably a better athlete and defender than given credit for. I think he's going to shoot up the board as we get closer to the draft.

I'm interested to see where the older guys like Dalton Knecht, Devin Carter and Terrance Shannon go. In this draft in particular, teams may opt for more established prospects earlier in than we've seen in the past.

I'd take Castle ahead of Sheppard all day long. Dude is smoove.

I remember being a freshman in HS when word started getting around of the collapse. I was in English class with my BF Matt and our teacher was an ex aggie. He blurts out "leave it to the aggies". Her eyes immediately began to water and she pulled him out of class then started giving us this lecture on aggie turdition. Good times lol.

    Are you guys still together?

  12. Once he lost KD, Donovan's NBA record is about as  "meh" as it gets.

    image.thumb.png.637cc4f3e70242e4d1ab9c2a10beba9e.png

In his 4 years in Chicago, he has a sub .500 regular season record and 3 missed playoffs. Bulls pulled an aggy and gave him an extension after that magical run in '22. that shot of him sitting on the bench when Miami pushed the lead back to 20 pts looked he wanted to cry.

It's clear that was programed by a former Chicago cabbie to drive like Elon.

Passing every car waiting patiently in the lane designated for turning before attempting to cut in at the last second and instead ramming itself  into a pole like a fucking idiot indicates the driver had  engaged "Elon Mode"
