  1. I loved mine so much I bought another one. The CMR is next on my list of gun purchases.
To be clear KT has re worked the PMR30 several times. Kervo says he got an early one. They received a lot of criticism.

  2. Just sold my Ci4s on Craigslist for $250.

Shimano reels are expensive but if you have a local dealer who will work with you on MAP and then sell the old reels: the money works out.  My set of four, 7YO Stradic Ci4s were on CL for less than 30 hours.  I probably left some $$$ on the table for a quick sale.

Got back home from making the sale and listed a pair of old Calcutta 201Bs.

  3. I leave my backstraps whole and cut them to my desired thickness depending who I’m cooking for. This one I butterflied, got my cast hot, sprinkled some of this on and cooked for a couple minutes per side. About as simple as can be to be honest.

Tonight I’m chicken frying some backstrap and some pheasant as well.

Hey man thanks for the pointers. Got into hunting late in life and deer hunting really late in life.

Went with bacon / toothpicks on the butterfly job and made a few other modifications. But it turned out great and even my kids ate up all their "steak" a5983a39d71cef1ea3c09b47234e7822.jpg

  4. Haha I noticed the Titanic on the screens.

I actually found that video by watching a video on the Nordhavn 60. I wouldn't mind going that route which is actually close to economically doable.

Maybe run it with a captain for a while until I felt like I had a handle on all the systems and then take over...

  5. Shooting lost / stray hounds is one thing. Those dogs I posted are pit bulls, they're chiseled with muscles and sport heads in the shape of shoe boxes. In some other pics you can tell that at least one of the males is intact.

They're also in a pack which (IMHO) makes them more dangerous.

They're escapees from nearby where they were undoubtedly used to guard dope operations and/or engage in organized fights (both very common in the area). The terrain also allows them to get within a few yards of a hunter without being seen. If they're quiet (not sure that they are) they could be on your throat before you got to the sights of a firearm.

Not pissed about them running deer. Coyotes have been and will be doing that forever. Those dogs are dangerous. They don't belong there unlike a snake, bear or a yellow jacket nest.

Fuck whoever got them there. Will be a two man spot for maintenance going forward and probably a two gun stand similar to AR pic that was posted above.

  6. I'd be 100% in an F250 diesel if I didn't work in a downtown environment. Gotta park on the curb and/or in cramped parking decks...

The only thing that got me in my current Tundra. (I guess in addition to the EPA bullshit)

  7. I haven't used it on my Jeep but 303 is pretty well regarded among my Florida boat owning crew of buddies. I usually apply to anything black that lives in the UV (tires, outboard cowling, truck bed cover, dashboard..). I have used it on my boat isenglass windshield and imagine it'd work very well on Jeep soft top windows.

Amazon will sell you a tub of 303 wipes if you want to just dip a toe in the water.

  8. I'm the opposite, I absolutely loved my Tahoe and never once considered a pickup.
But when I got a new RV, I needed something with better towing capability than any of the modern SUVs out there, so moving to a pickup was really my only option.  It also had to be a daily driver for everyday commute.  So I drove every option out there, both 1/2 ton and 3/4, in both gas V8 and turbo diesel, and I ended up on the F150 Supercrew 3.5L Ecoboost w/ max tow package because it had the best combination of power, towing capacity, interior cabin room, and driveability, for my purposes.
And I'm so glad I did, because I absolutely love this truck.
But definitely go test drive a bunch, what's right for others won't necessarily be right for you.
How much RV are you towing? How heavy is it?
