Hello from my hunting shack. After building a tripod stand in 90+ deg heat and humidity, cartoons and Doritos in the AC do the trick.

Seems like that shot would've resulted in a pretty easily "findable" axis at 90 degrees. The variables involved in finding a wounded animal (IMO) increase wildly and inverse to the angle of the bullet path to the spine.
Had a whitetail quartering-to shot a few years ago that was "dead on balls accurate" and got lucky to find the buck after half a day of looking with dogs and everything.
-
On my short list. Now that's a beautiful, eye catching watch. -
Started neck shooting whitetail last year. Plan on sticking with it.
Also I only use big boy calibers for deer anymore. No more 223 / 204 Ruger. Just my philosophy. No judgements. -

Put in three SpyPoint cellular cameras. Pretty cool getting pics via an app instead of driving 90min to walk in and pull cards.
Got both of my boats running so fishing will be my main thing but we have three parcels of about 50ac with three good food plots, three good stands and three good feeders.
Hurricane Michael and then a work issue basically Fd me out of hunting season last year.

Same here. He was pretty popular with some buddies of mine. Always heard good things about the guy. RIP
Me too. Holy shit. I always wanted to do that seaplane trip with him. -
Isn't there a new Tundra coming out with an updated interior and a new transmission?

He can GTFO in my opinion.
That's the kind of shit I am proud that Longhorn players generally DONT do.- 1

Springfield 911 380 acp
First, and most concerning was I had 3-4 failures to ignite. I pulled them out, check that the primer had been struck which it had. I retried a them and all but one fired the second time around. These were two different types of ammo. One buffalo bore on Winchester flat nose fmj.
On that note, the feed ramp is pretty blunt on the gun. I had at least 5-6 FTFeed. The flat nose and hollow points were getting caught on the feed. Now, I think the recoil spring is a little soft and therefore is to blame. Or it's a combination of both. I'm guessing none of this would occur with a round nose FMJ.
y findings. I'm hoping it doesn't need a new spring, and I will all take some fmj round to see how it performs with those.

Will this work for you? I actually found it in a rod locker on my bay boat this weekendI have searched online, cant find it. My rear stern light, it is 24 or 30 inches long. I need a THREE PIN white stern light. I even called Perko to no avail, and West Marine as well. Very hard to find.
If you can find me one I will give you 7 internets and semi-positive reputations.

Please report back after throwing a good amount of lead. I'd like to hear your review.
Shot about 100 rounds this morning. Wore ear pro plugs and headphones. Lots of blast with little recoil is an odd feeling. Gun shot pretty accurately with the cheapo Winchester Super X hunting ammo. When I got into the more expensive stuff later the accuracy seemed to drop off. Could've been a result of hot barrel and a dip in focus later in the range session. Had a couple hiccups at first with the cheap Winchester ammo though. The expensive stuff ran pretty much without a hitch.
Like I said - armadillos will be killed. I wouldn't use this handgun for defense except in some type of "last resort" situation. The rounds stack in the magazine very awkwardly and it causes chokes. I kept the mags as loaded as I could (about 18-20 rds) so maybe the springs will relax and that'll smooth-out.

Thanks. Definitely on the short list. I have a couple of the 3.5A portables and I have had mixed results.I'm a fan of the Noco Genius chargers. I have the 2x 4 A onboard, a single 7.2 A and a couple of the .75A trickle chargers. Would buy any or all of them again.

Anyone running a three bank, onboard battery charger that they're in love with? Mine needs replacing
-
Thinking about a moderately priced light / laser combo for the rail to use on nighttime armadillo elimination ops. Anyone have any suggestions? It won't be for personal defense just for critter control so I don't want to break the bank.I have one. It's my favorite carry-gun at the ranch. Unloaded, weighs about as much as a large phone in a case + 30rd mag. At night, spits a flame out a foot long with zero recoil (full mag dump at night must be your first priority!).
Finicky about certain types of ammo (lower velocity loads give it trouble cycling rounds), so you'll have to play with it some.
22mag is a nasty little round and it's so easy to shoot accurately. That pistol, for the price, with a few additional loaded mags make for a heck of a truck or home defense gun. -
Pompano bite wasn't really that good. Maybe it was the full moon. Rode around to some "old favorite" spots and put a few of these in the boat. Fished pretty skinny for a 23', 4500lb bay boat

FFLs are subject to a ton of scrutiny from BATFE. Not passing judgment on this one until something comes out confirming that the guy was dirty. More than possible this is the result of eager beaver cops and feds making a raid and raking in publicly for the sake of it.If every T isn’t crossed and every i dotted in his paperwork, the BATFE will hammer his ass.
Plus it mentioned something about .50 BMG caliber guns, which I think are now banned out there. So the state can booger up his butt too.
wonder what will happen to the ammo. -
Let's do this.

I got a BnW and it's nice to be able to adjust for all three trailers I tow but in the end I've realized that I've spent $200 on something that's traditionally $27-$40Glad I still have a bumper that serves as a step. That would be a deal breaker for me. Some chick demoed her little suv on my ball just a month or so ago. Didn’t do shit except bend my ball up a bit (still tows but need new one, it’s wearing on tongue) Her shit was destroyed when I pulled forward and lots of hers came with it. Thinking one of those high dollar adjustable types this time. I usually get a new $25 one when I buy a new truck. This one has 11 years now. Chick ruined it, probably on facebook. -
Hahaha that was me in the Dodge. I was trying to pull out the two kids from the wrangler in the background before dark. Didn't turn out that wayHe’s got a stock truck with highway tires. Why was he there? -
As to not derail: I posted in the truck threadI have to dig up a picture for you guys of when I tried to help some college kid at a boat ramp at a drained, muddy lake bed. He took his GF "mudding" in a Wrangler and made it just far enough to cause me to sink down to the frame when I tried to go out there and help him (at his and her request).

Seems like we talk about accessories a lot on this thread.
How about posting pictures of our "best" stucks?
I went to buy beer at a local gas station which happens to be near a drained, muddy lake bed. College kid and his GF walk up while I am pumping gas. They're stuck in the nearby lake bed. Convince me they're deserving of help. Here we are, 10min later...- 2

Other than that, crowns don't bother me, but the SX007 is a fat heavy fucker with a big crown. If it were at 3:00 it might be bothersome.
Really? That auto Orient diver I posted upthread is easily 2X heavier than this 007. I was impressed with this Seiko 007 because of its "light weight" when I first put it on. I may be coming from the wrong direction though.

Gotta mention Ted Peters Famous Smoked Fish in Pasadena as an offbeat BBQ joint for smoked fish in a cash only, family owned establishment.
Also Cigar City Brewing in Tampa for some good liquid.
Berns for the experience over the substance. If you are in a large group budget twice the time you're thinking.
