Just saw the stat that OU is 3-6 against the other 3 teams in the top 4 of the conference and 15-0 against everyone else.
That's pretty wild.
Also looks like a recipe for an early Big 12 tournament and/or regional exit.
Obliviously it's a good thing to beat up on the lower end of the conference, but a 15-0 record against the rest is absurd and has more than a little luck involved. And this is baseball - that luck will run out.

I haven't watched them play at all, but a purely statistical evaluation leads me to the conclusion that the Pokes have some real pitchers on the roster.
Yeah the pitching has been pretty good.
It saved us early in the year when we were squeaking out games scoring 3 and 4 runs. The bats have been better in the past month or so.

Appreciate y'all taking 2 from OUsux.

Double header today v. BYU because of potential weather tomorrow and BYU can't play Sundays. Need a sweep.
Done and done.

they still sound good. i haven't seen eddie in a while, i don't like seeing my idols getting older.
The last time I saw them live was during the Lightening Bolt tour…which, holy shit, was 11 years ago at this point…
But even then their live show was freaking incredible. They played like 3.5 hours and did two encores… they played just about everything you’d want to hear… was an incredible experience. I remember about halfway through the show when they played “Jeremy” it just really hit me that I was seeing PEARL JAM and it was like I completely channeled my 21-year-old brain and it was in heaven… 🙂

Just seeing James Madison making the move makes me wonder if NDSU could do the same
James Madison is basically twice the size of NDSU (22k students vs. 12k) and is also situated in a highly populated state surrounded by other highly populated states... it's a 2-hour drive to metro D.C., Baltimore, etc.
NDSU is in Fargo surrounded by several low population states. There's only one decent sized city anywhere close (Minneapolis-St. Paul) and it's 3.5 hours away.
It just seems that James Madison may have several built-in advantages, in terms of potential resources and recruiting base, that NDSU just doesn't have.

Saw on Reddit their season opener with North Dakota State has been moved to the Thursday night prime time spot in week 1.
This feels like a very high potential for early week 1 lulz.

Yeah, saw the Damn Quails there when there were still some Covid precautions. You had to buy a whole table, so we did. Not the full experience, but still a great show and a great time.
Nice. Yeah you need to come back and experience it in its full glory.
You should also check out the Woody Guthrie Center and the Bob Dylan Archives some time when you're in town if you haven't. Also the Church Studio... those are must-sees for music fans.

I was in Tulsa 3-4 weeks ago (the day it came out, actually) and my cousin was trying to get me to come back for it. Dead ass middle of planting season, so there's absolutely no chance.
Bummer dude.
Have you ever been to a show at Cain's?

Thus far Waxahatchee is my album of the year. I've been a big fan of Katie Crutchfield for a few years (the Plains album a few years back was phenomenal) and this is as good as anything she's done.
She's playing her first show ever at Cain's on May 8. I'm so bummed I'm gonna miss it because I'm gonna be in Houston for work.. ugg.

The more I listen to "Only God Was Above Us" the more I absolutely love it.
I don't think Vampire Weekend will ever top the masterpiece that was "Modern Vampires of the City" but this one is right below it in my book as their 2nd best album. It's just really really excellent.

Yeah really love the new Vampire Weekend.
While I liked the sprawling “jam band” vibe of “Father of the Bride” at the time, I don’t go back to it too often just because it’s so unweildy.
”Only God Above Us” feels more like a proper follow-up to “Modern Vampires of the City.” I’m really, really liking it a lot.

Yeah TCU is turrible this year.
Too bad. I always look forward to them eliminating Aggy in the regionals.

Can't wait for The Dude's always accurate season predictions as well.
Watching him predict a WVU win for every single game, then disappear for days after each loss and then come back and do it all over again the next week was always a treat.

J J Abrams thinks he did a great job with Star Wars and Star Trek and the studios do as well if he’s getting the keys to Back to the Future.
But I guess Timothy Chalamet and John Lithgow or Jeff Goldblum could always use another paycheck.
Well to be fair, the studios probably DID think he did well.
TFA was a HUGE hit and fans only began to drag it in retrospect. Same with his Star Trek re-boot.

J.J. Abrams is the Hollywood equivalent of a cover band.

I'm really digging the new Old 97's record. I think it's my favorite of theirs since "Most Messed Up."
The first three tracks are classic Old 97's rockers. Also really dig the two Murry songs and also "Western Stars."

Nah man, K-State and Iowa State for sure have us on the list. They really have an irrational hatred of all things Texas to the extent that it is a boogie man complex. Baylor, TCU, and Tech as well. Nebraska, Arkansas, OU, A&M. That leaves two more schools and I have no idea where those are coming from. Houston and Rice maybe?
K-State and Iowa State fans are listing Texas as their "biggest rival?"
Umm... I seriously doubt that.
I don't doubt other Texas schools, and forgot about Arkansas... don't doubt that one. Nebraska? Umm no. That's going to be OU, or maybe some rando team in the B1G, depending on the fan's age.
I think you're confusing "schools who enjoy Texas losing" with "schools who list Texas as their biggest rival."

Yeah I'd like to see the details of this very scientific sounding "study."
Obviously OU and Aggy are going to list Texas as their biggest rival. Beyond that, maybe a handful of Texas-based FBS schools... maybe Tech, TCU, Baylor, Houston... maybe SMU... who are the other four? UTSA? SFA? Rice? Texas A&M-CC?

Have they announced how the tiebreakers work? I know the Big 12 typically doesn't like to
manipulatereveal it's math on such matters until championship week, but it's going to be hilarious if one team gets into the CCG over another despite having a head to head loss that doesn't count in the tie breaker. There is going to be an epic amount of pussy rubbing if a playoff bid is determined because of it.Has the SEC announced theirs?
Better buckle up because now that we have the stupid unwieldy large conferences with no divisions and unbalanced schedules everyone is going to be subject to the same tie-breaker chaos that the Big 12 went through last year.

They letting Bowman start again? If so, I doubt they are winning much. They had ridiculous luck last year, and I doubt that repeats.
Yeah we hear this literally every year.
Gundy just keeps "lucking" his way into 10-win seasons over and over again.
We basically have our entire team back this coming year plus we get our best WR back (Stribling) who missed basically the entire year.
Unless we have an injury wipeout year like we did in 2022 we'll be around the top of the league again.
